Right before writing this someone tried to hack me. It scared the crap out of me! I was the one where it looks like where it says something to the affect of "A problem has occurred in you account and the system needs your account name and password." Now why would it need my user name if it occurred in my account? Well I panicked and clicked "cancel". Then, I changed my password. The same thing, almost, happened to one of my friends. Except someone sent him a pm saying "I'm an admin and I need your password to fix a problem in your account." He also changed his password.
Hackings can scare you a lot. Now my question to you. Have you ever been hacked? If so did you get you account back?

Havnt been hacked yet but i know that if someone else logs onto your page you get signed out of gaia and at that point i log back in and change my password >3< its so creepy.. that happend to me recently and i flipped lol >3<

probably will not happen because me IP address changes randomly very quickly
also I tend to use Tor

that would freak me out. no it hasnt happened to me. my suggestion. use two or three passwords and switch between them weekly.

O damn haha hacking is not something that has happened to me yet, but if and when it happens i'd just quit this site

Ninjastrawberries1 O damn haha hacking is not something that has happened to me yet, but if and when it happens i'd just quit this site I like this site so I'd just take over on my account I made for that very reason

Yeah once a ponon time ;DD Goosh there lived 1 girl who was called Saku
She went to shop and guess what? ;O there wasnt any ice cream than Saku went very angry She ran to Snow castle and died in the hole ;DDD

Is totally your slave driver of a vice-president---There are hackers all over gaia. The only way to avoid it is to be careful. Concerning your password, try to make them completely random and never tell anyone.
If someone claims to be a mod and asks you for your account information report them right away. A mod will NEVER ask you for your password.
If something pops up and tells you to enter your password and it's not in the log page or in the trade screen, do not enter your password and report it to a mod.
Try and change your password a few times, at least once a month if you're really that paranoid.
I'm sorry if anyone's ever gotten hacked, but it happens.
If it does happen contact a mod about getting your items back.
I take a screen shot of my items every once in a while. Hopefully I'm never hacked but at least I have my own personal record of my items. NOW BOW DOWN TO ME >83

Yeah, people have tried hacking me a few times before as well, but I ignored the PMs and reported them immediately~
But for some more info on ways people tend to hack, or even scam you, go to this nifty little picture right here.

I've never been hacked, i change my pw weekly cause i'm scared it will happen to me, I have too many expensive items that i know are worth it for hackers, so I am allert, i had a message like that once that said that i had been banned and i should give my username and pw, i was like WTF and replied to this person that if there was reason to ban me do it but don't expect me to give you my pw... scream

thankfully nt yet been hacked for the year long stay of mine on gaia.
my suggestion:even if u dont hv a thousand pw's to keep u safe,a strong pw would(my opinion.no offense 2 any1 smile ]
