________________________________________________ Kiwischima Moratomi-Onimitsukido Leader-2nd Squad Taicho As Kiwi stumbled back and forth bouncing off of the door frame as he exited he found a nice canter that kept his balance along the way. When he reached the corner his walk changed once again, the drunken stupor fell and his stride was just slow and careful as if he was having vision problems. Kiwi was very grateful that she had happened by, or had he sent for her? Either way he was glad that she was here.
"What was your impression of the man? I still can't get an accurate reading off of him, all I can tell is that he has secrets that he wants to keep. Oh god, I'm never drinking that stuff again." Stopping he rested his hand on the wall and let his head dangle as he focused on settling his stomach.

Akι 警邏隊司令 Turning, Aki began to walk backwards so that she was walking looking at Kiwischima. "Of who? Masato?" Silently, Aki scratched her cheek and shrugged then drew her Wakizashi and began to idly swing it for seemingly no real reason. "I don't really care, but he tries to hide the fact that he's not drunk, by acting drunk. Pretty convincing though, but I'm hard to fool, as it stands. He's... quiet, maybe a bit stupid? I don't know and I don't care about secrets." Again, Aki shrugged then turned away as she continued walking to the place she called home. True enough, it was hard for Aki to care about much, so his questions and concerns were none of hers. Really the only things she cared about was learning new things and being stronger. As for the former, the learning was limited to the mechanics and fighting styles of a person, not necessarily their personality and what they did, unless it affected their fighting style.
Aki tossed the Wakizashi into the air several times over, but missed it the last time. On it's descent to the ground and because of the angle of her hand, it's shinogi grazed her right ring finger and struck into the ground below. Taking two steps past it due to her momentum, Aki stopped and turned around just as the Wakiszashi vanished into thin air. It was at this point that the Wakizashi let out a dark pulse, and then a gauntlet-like object took form on her right hand and wrist.
The object in question was the release form of her Shikai. Its main color was metallic silver, though there were three short black lines near the rings in the back. There was an extension from the front that her ring finger could hook into to hold it in place and atop this extension was a black jewel in the shape of an orb, much like the four that ringed the main jewel in the center. Each jewel carried a glowing symbol for darkness (闇) embedded in the jewel itself rather than on the top. On the back, there were four loops that held the gauntlet in place upon her arm.
Aki looked down and eyed it carefully with a tilt of her head. Despite the fact that the misty Kuromijin weren't present and that she had never seen this before, she knew what it was. "That's new... Look, I did it." She held her hand up, palm facing towards her, to show Kiwischima. Then, as if she didn't care anymore, Aki turned and continued to walk. Those that know how to win are much more numerous than those who know how to make proper use of their victories.

________________________________________________ Kiwischima Moratomi-Onimitsukido Leader-2nd Squad Taicho Kiwi's mind was slightly distracted by the series of events he was still trying to put things in order with the alcohol in his system. He noticed her shikai change but ignored it for a moment, when he realised he was being rude he put his mind at ease and looked at her evolved shikai.
"You and your spirit don't get along that well do you? I can understand your situation in a way, Mikaihatsu was very difficult when I first met him. He always spoke in riddles and teased me for my incompetence, nowadays we are on pretty even terms but he still likes to cause problems every know and again."
He smiled at her as he remembered his times with Mikaihatsu and Yami always instigating fights between them. But when it came down to it, your spirit no matter how prideful it was would be there for you in the end.

Akι 警邏隊司令 "No, we don't get along at all. I hate him with every fiber of my being because he made me kill my brother, the single most important person to me in the entire world. He made me kill him, Taichō, he made me murder my entire extended family in cold blood." Had he been able to see her from the front, perhaps he would have seen the single tear she would shed for her lost lover, brother, and closest companion. Aki never broke stride nor did her voice falter, she kept it a sweet calm and as always it carried a hint of ominousness. "How do I use this stupid thing..." Aki waved her hand around awkwardly as if expeciting something to happen while doing so. "Think of a ball." Kagezume's voice echoed from the pit of her soul. Great, the guy she hated was back, but he usually offered sound advice, which she would need anyway.
"Eh, what?" While confused at this, a ball was already on her mind and in the middle of her hand, a ball of Kuromijin took form. "Throw it. Tree, 4 meters to your right, 14 meters ahead." He spoke to her again, apparently in the mood for giving advice. Aki didn't hesitate and flicked her wrist, sending the ball of Kuromijin at the tree. This ball did not bust through the tree, split it in half, burn it, or do anything of the sort; it literally ate through it, leaving a hole and no debris left over. The ball zoomed back into her hand and she lowered it. "They respond to your will. They are Ecophages, Akira." The silence that followed told Aki that he was no longer going to speak to her, probably vanishing for days on end as usual. "Ecophages..."Edited: I have no ******** idea why I put drill instead of tree... *facepalm* Those that know how to win are much more numerous than those who know how to make proper use of their victories.

________________________________________________ Kiwischima Moratomi-Onimitsukido Leader-2nd Squad Taicho "I thought I told you to drop the titles unless the Commander is around? It's just Kiwi. I know that part, I read your arrest notice and the files that were recorded during your imprisonment. I know the capabilities of the blade as two halves but it was never recorded when it formed itself as a whole. Did you ever stop to think that it was the spirit's vengeance for being split for so long? It is not hard to forget that our spirits have their own conciousness, Mikaihatsu would kill me in an instant if it meant he could be released back into his original world. I don't hold that against him because I can understand his want. Although I can not ask you to do the same with your spirit over time you will realize his meaning and reasoning, he acted because you were not strong enough to control him. Just like the other day he pushed his boundaries, you exhibit a similar quality whether you realize it or not." Kiwi spoke with an aloof tone as he explained things to his best.
"Ecophage, the consumption of the ecosystem. A more literal translation means to devour the household. That makes a little more sense with the given variables." He said with a smile as he fell into the side of a building, his equilibrium was still off. After a few seconds he regained his sense of balance and continued on.

Akι 警邏隊司令 Putting away Kiwischima's desire to not be called captain, Aki turned to look at him. Her tear had long since fallen, leaving only the faint wet trail down her cheek. Her expression was no longer content, but rather angry with a clenched jaw and narrowed eyes. Aki raised her right hand and curled her fingers into a fist. "Whatever the reason, it's still his fault. I do not want to understand him. I will use him like the tool he is, so that I may become more powerful. Then, when I no longer need to rely on him, I will lock him in the pit of my soul so that I never have to see his ******** face again. That is my prerogative, like it or not." Blood trickled down her wrist and forearm from the four incisions made in the palm of her hand by her nails. Oblivious to the pain, Aki clenched her fist once more, then released her grip/ With a flick of her wrist, not only did she fling a bit of blood to the side, but also made the ball disappear. "I'm sure he feels the same way about me as well. And for the record, I know what an Ecophage is." Suddenly clouded by her power and shrouded in the mist-like Kuromijin, Aki walked off, hoping beyond all hope there wasn't much of the walk left. Those that know how to win are much more numerous than those who know how to make proper use of their victories.

TheManWhoLivesintheClouds ________________________________________________ Kiwischima Moratomi-Onimitsukido Leader-2nd Squad Taicho "Hahaha, you've got a lot to learn about spirits. OI, for an escort home you know your not doing very good." Kiwi decided to stop milking the drunkeness and walked normal. His head was still spinning slightly, but he could control his body none the less.
Catching up with her quickly he acted like a small child playing with the smoke. Catching it in his hands and swirling it around, and then blowing into it until it cleared a path, to her and then let it flow back over. He was just instigating now, he had more to say but it was the kind of stuff you didn't just openly say to someone. He needed motive and timing to make it stick, but overall she needed to accept it.

Akι 警邏隊司令 With nary a glance to him, Aki scowled and responded to Kiwschima. "I don't know how old you think I am or how intelligent I am, but I'm more aware of spirits than you think. As he's been in my family for generations, I know how he works, and how he thinks, and need I remind you that I was alone with him for several years. I know him, he knows me, and our relationship is a direct reflection of what we know of each other. So, I will thank you to not infer what I may or may not know about something. Even if you are my commanding officer, I implore you to not place yourself above me in such a manner." Throughly annoyed, Aki simply thought a command, and her Kuromijin went about trying to consume Kiwischima's clothes. "They bite, so leave them alone." She warned, quickening her pace. Those that know how to win are much more numerous than those who know how to make proper use of their victories.

TheManWhoLivesintheClouds ________________________________________________ Kiwischima Moratomi-Onimitsukido Leader-2nd Squad Taicho "To infer that you may or may not know would mean that my statement was neither positive nor negative. So how can you be angry at a person who by technicality said nothing? But for the record my statement was negative, and it was your own statement that proves my very point you know how he works. He is not a machine, he is a facet and manifestation of your families tradition and household. It was not him who turned and killed your family..." Kiwi didn't really want to say the next part, it was words that were going to lash deep.
"You know this deep in your heart somewhere, he was only the manifestation of those wishes." He was expecting a physical rammification anytime now. "We are unaware of our spirits until we are in the greatest need for a companion, for whatever reason your spirit saw what was truly in your heart and acted to the best of his ability. No spirit, mine excluded, would intentionally get their partner killed or severely maimed in a way that would hurt themselves. He did what he did because of what you would be forced to face in the future." Kiwi was speaking directly from his heart on the subject, he had read her file several times over before he allowed her to take a seat and had given her one just specifically because of the problems she would face with herself. He was speaking on what Aki's attitude said about her inner self, her insecurities and the soft self that lay beneath all of her tough exterior.

Akι 警邏隊司令 "You said I have a lot to learn about spirits, implying I know little of them. To infer is to reason, and reasoning is never neutral in nature; it can be taken badly or be taken well whether it is meant to be positive or meant to be negative. Therein lies my anger with you, that you assume the level of knowledge I hold on any given subject simply based on my actions and words, when I'm not even speaking or acting directly on the subject in question, but merely skirting the issue. What I said doesn't necessarily make him a machine. Do Shinigami and spirits not do things? Does the word function not apply to Shinigami and spirits in the same way as it would to a machine? The brain, which has functions, is a good example of this. I've been with him long enough to know how he thinks, how he reacts, and what he will do next. All of this pulled together is indeed knowing how he works. And this business about you knowing about what happened is ludicrous, as you weren't there. No file can ever match the experience of being there, or of being the person directly involved." Aki turned to face him, and held up her right hand, then spoke, but not to Kiwischima.
"You may speak." There was silence for a moment, then a man's voice came from the gauntlet. "The entire reason behind the death of her family had nothing to do with her. It was myself, and myself alone. Loving her family far more than any being could ever hope to was her one flaw, if you will. When I appeared before the two, little Akira here and her brother Haru, I chose not to divide myself between them as I had grown tired of splitting myself, as it's quite painful. Due to this decision, Akira was unable to suppress me like the others before her have, which overloaded her softened heart and turned her into a murderer if only for a brief moment. I am an antagonizer, you see, so I took a pure-hearted girl, and turned her into the person she is today." Silence ensued and Aki touched the main jewel, thus canceling her Shikai. "After that, I couldn't live with that part of my life any longer, or look at myself in the same way. So I changed my name to reflect how empty I am now. Any questions?" Aki shifted most of her weight onto her right leg, then placed her right hand upon her hip. Those that know how to win are much more numerous than those who know how to make proper use of their victories.

TheManWhoLivesintheClouds ________________________________________________ Kiwischima Moratomi-Onimitsukido Leader-2nd Squad Taicho Kiwi was chuckling softly too himself as they both backed each other up on the subject, they really were two equal halves. "Just one, How did he get into your heart? You make it sound so simple for him to take you over but there is an aspect that is missing. No matter how powerful or aware a Shinigami is we are all deaf to our spirits until we get to know them and then later accept them. The only way to circumvene these events is to beat your spirit into submission.
If he is just an antagonizer then that would mean that deep down you are as well, unless it is how he said and you were pure and he was the epitomy of evil you would never have been able to even see him because of the difference in your personas." His point was pretty clear to fathom, even if you were being joined with the spirit you would have to come to common grounds and at least accept one another.

Akι 警邏隊司令 "How? He broke in. I was but a naive young girl, yet you seem to expect me to close off my heart with ease. This is incredibly difficult to do." Aki shook her head, a bit disappointed at his thinking. "And you didn't listen to me at all. Your entire theory of the relationship between a Shinigami and their spirit is based upon the fact that the spirit is a direct reflection of the Shinigami's personality. You'd be correct, if we were normal." With a roll of her eyes, Aki turned and walked off, no longer caring to speak to someone who was trying to drive their ideals into her. Maybe in the back of her mind she had hoped that Kiwi would realize it a bit sooner without relying on her to tell him. Those that know how to win are much more numerous than those who know how to make proper use of their victories.

TheManWhoLivesintheClouds ________________________________________________ Kiwischima Moratomi-Onimitsukido Leader-2nd Squad Taicho "Normal, now that is a funny concept to be thrown around with Shinigami. When activated I can summon a garden of death that consumes all life within it's boundaries even it's creator. I have seen that these spirits sometimes even have the ability to turn the heavens upside down, there is no sense of normality contained within them, but everything they do is for a reason. Riddles are my speacialty my dear and solving them is a breeze for me, you on the other hand lack both ends of the puzzle and are left with only the results and no puzzle.
Did you ever stop to think that weakness was a strength in this case? The spirit righted himself and retaliated upon all of those who had split his essence for so long. He then forced you into a position where you had to get tough or whither away and look at how far you have come, I think you are fooling yourself when you say that you are not a direct reflection of each other. You too are perfect whether you admit it or not, no spirit would entomb themselves in a shell if they new it would be weak and doubty forever." Kiwi was enjoying their conversation more and more, he was actually seeing how many times he could get her to repeat the same thing over and over. With all of her pent up aggression it didn't really leave her much room for feeling anything else, everytime she spoke she was getting nearer and nearer to saying the truth out loud. It was one of those things that only once you fully admitted it to yourself could you begin to work past, unfortunately Kiwi knew the spirit wasn't gonna be much help in dealing with her problems.

Akι 警邏隊司令 "There you go again with the assuming and subsequent ability to completely miss my point, then twist my words. Your statements are nothing more than what you perceive as the truth, not the actual truth. You are amusing to listen to, but at the same time quite infuriating to listen to. You are not talking in riddles, I honestly have no idea where you are getting that from as what you are saying is fairly straightforward, just wrong. Sorry you don't get it. I'm sorry you think we are so ******** perfect for each other. I'm sorry you are of the opinion you actually know what I am saying. I. Did. Not. Make. Him. Walk yourself home." Aki then faded out of sight, using her first proper Shunpo that was the direct result of wanting to get far away from him.

________________________________________________ Kiwischima Moratomi-Onimitsukido Leader-2nd Squad Taicho As she dissapeared Kiwi laughed out loud to himself, losing his balance after a couple chuckles and having to catch himself on a tree. Catching the limb he pulled himself up gracefully and once craddled in a limb he laid his head back. "Well, that went well."
"Excuse me but maybe I was watching the wrong conversation, she didn't understand a thing you said."
"That's the point, it will sink in overtime if she gives it any thought. She thought I was speaking of myself in the last part but I actually meant her entire ordeal. She is a very unique case, once she can finally deal with her problems she will be an exponentially unmeasurable asset."
"There is something else at foot in your mind."
"You know me to well Mikaihatsu, I hate suffering and that's all she goes through. I can't even imagine what it was like for her when she was locked up, stripped of all possibilities and locked inside a cell with only one being as her companion. She evolved and adapted over time and now as much as she most likely doesn't want to accept it she has a spirit now."
"You know he is going to be as difficult as possible? It is most likely just in his nature, did you hear his tone when he spoke. So sure of himself with a nice splash of self pleasure, he is going to give her hell at every turn."
"Kinda like you do?" Kiwi said with a chuckle.
"No, I only antagonize your decisions and second guess your every movement. He will plague her with memories and reminders of what he did and if he really wants to get gruesome he could describe how he did it."
"Hopefully he won't stoop so low, but if necissary we can confront him. I can use the same thing I used on you remember, force him into the physical world and beat some sense into him." Kiwi said in a light aloof tone as leaned his head back and closed his eyes.
"I always love the plans you come up with, they are so simple in nature and destined to fail from the git go. But somehow with your stubborn nature and persevering attitude allows even the most inept plan to come full circle."
"Thanks for the support Mikaihatsu, I'll see you in the morning."
