Kougeki was born into the Clan known for their Offense Defense arts.
The clan was called the Toku Clan. The Toku had a special ability which saved their clans for many years. They had the ability to create a shield.
The shield was made of a unknown substance. Some say it was spiritual energy, some say it was the universal mana which powered it, There are many beliefs but none are sure. The Toku Clan was able to use this ability to many uses including form weapons with the power of a shield. Thier shields can be manipulated in anyway of they choose, It can become solid and visible or invisible. Kougeki was born as the weakest member of the clan. He was always behind in his studies and always behind in his training.
The other classmates easily went above him. He was bullied for many of his life until he reached the age of 13. When he hit puberty his abilities suddenly bursted with power. He had become the villages best fighter. All the practice he did before had payed off. He even learned how to use the Clan's ability in a way which they never thought of. He watched over the village as a Jonnin. He never went any higher in rank for he did not want to. After he reached the age of 18 he left his clan and went off on his own.
2 years after his departure he returned to find his village destroyed. His clan members gone..Not even a trace of anything..he never knew what happened. Ever since he traveled for 5 years trying to Find out what happened. During that 5 years he joined a organization similar to "Akatsuki". He was discovered to be the last of the toku clan and the leader saw his ability as a unique tool. The only reason Kougeki accepted the request was to try and figure out more info on his vanished clan. He never knew he would become such great friends with his partner Shinku Fuyu. During those 5 years the leader betrayed one of Kougeki's friends Jishaku. In a attempt to kill Jishaku and his partner the leader was killed when Kougeki and Shinku jumped in and joined Jishaku and Metaru. After the whole incident Kougeki and Shinku resided in a new village where they meet two new allies. He didnt know he would end up fighting another person who outsmarted his own shield. That man was Demetri ikana. He was asked to join demetri's own version of "Akatsuki" for the same reason Kougeki was asked the first time. With a long talk with Shinku, Kougeki wrote a letter to Demetri saying he accepted the offer. Kougeki is still in search for his clan, His favorite phrase to say when in a fight with Shinku is "Every sword needs a shield, the shield protects the sword as the sword does the shield."

Looks: Straight Long black hair, Wheres a blue style tunic. His eyes are a deep blue and on his skin are tattoo like blue markings whihc each of his clan's memebers are bron with. His hair is normally in a bun at the top like a traditional samurai.
