First post introduction:
The sky is bright blue as the sun shines down upon the stadium. The crowd’s cheers can be heard miles away as fireworks are shot in to the heavens to signal the event starting. Fievel Roknu was standing looking into the arena with his Toxicroak standing by his side. “Trainer 552, Fievel Roknu, you’re up next.” Shouted one of the life guards, he stood at the arena entrance. Fievel looked down at his Toxicroak and nodded. He felt weird walking around in his swim shorts but it would be tough if he entered this with his normal clothes on.
Standing at the entrance to the tournament Fievel looked down the water slide tube. He hoped he’d prepared enough as he placed his scuba mask on. The life guard nodded to him and he jumped down the tube with his Toxicroak. This is it, he is about to enter the Tsunami Storm battle tournament.

A mysterious trainer stood by the poster with the Tsunami Storm Battle Tournament advert. He’d read it a few times now thinking about it. A woman was walking down the street and he turned to her, he could tell she was a trainer. “Excuse me miss. Do you know about this Tsunami Storm Battle Tournament? I’m new here and not heard of it.”
The female trainer smiled “Yes, I know about it. I’ll be entering the tournament myself...” She paused to think “Basically it starts off like a waterslide. You and your Pokémon speed away until you hit the main pipeline where other trainers from different waterslides enter... This will then take you into the Maelstrom arena where you have to fight against other trainers in a battle royal knockout system.” She began to make spiralling motions with her hands, “The Maelstrom arena is like a giant wurl pool of different undercurrents. It can be very difficult to navigate and trainers 95% of the time will use water Pokémon just to survive this first round.” She smiled as she felt a little embarrassed about making funny hand gestures to a stranger. Returning a friendly smile the trainer said, “Thank you. So I take it only strong trainers take part and make it to the next round? Good, good. I think I’ll have to enter this tournament and see if it has what I’m looking for... Thank you again and good luck in the tournament. I’ll properly see you there.”
Then as if she answered his questions he walked past her. Acting like they never spoke he walked down the street and round the corner out of view from the female trainer. She stood there thinking about the trainer and how someone who didn’t know about the Tsunami Storm Battle Tournament would enter and think they have a chance. Trainers would spend years training for it. But she has seen trainers enter and not even make it into the Maelstrom arena as the entrance tube was too much. But she still had a lot of confidence in herself and carried on with her life.
