From any game of LoZ, tell us your favorite level/temple/dungeon! If you can't pick one, that's fine. Share your love with us!

Be cautious of possible spoilers ahead!

I have two favorite temples that come to mind. The first is the Earth God's Temple from Wind Waker. It's the one where you take Medli, who is revealed to be the incarnation of the Earth Sage, with you to restore half of the Master Sword's power. I find it rather odd that this is my favorite WW temple since it's the creepiest. It's got redeads galore, floormasters all over (which also attack Medli! ugh!), stalfos, and poisonous flying skulls, among other things. This temple is also where you recover the Mirror Shield (my FAVORITE WW item aside from the MSword).

I love this temple not only because you get the mirror shield, but for some reason it inspires a calm beauty for me. The background music is soft, never overpowering, with dark, alternating chords; the atmosphere it creates is fantastic. I love how you use both Medli and Link to redirect the purifying power of Light onto both enemies and parts of the temple in order to continue forward. My favorite Wind Waker theme is also the Earth God's Theme, which you use with Medli. Even after years of replaying WW, this temple still presents me with challenges. Part of my love for this temple is hard to explain. It's just plain amazing.

My other favorite temple is the Temple of Time from Twilight Princess. This one I don't recall as clearly, since it's been over a year since I went through it, but I remember that while it didn't have the best music sequence (except for in the front room, lol), it still offered challenging puzzles, a beautiful presentation, and a hell of a fun time controlling the statues and fighting the mid-boss and boss.

I also loved the Lakebed Temple, which was of course frustrating like it's OoT counterpart, and the Palace of Twilight, which is different than any other temple we've seen in Zelda history.

um, TP just basically rocked my world as a whole. I'm contemplating kidnapping the Wii and our copy of TP and taking it back with me to college to replay it (for like the tenth time).

The temples from OoT are INGENIOUS but to be honest it's been so long since I've played OoT I can't remember them very well. My favorite would most likely be Spirit.

OOT Spirit Temple! I've never wanted to play another temple as much. I love the desert setting (It's like home to me) the ancient powerful sounding music, the epic boss and mini boss... Just everything!

Oh Jeebies.

My favourite temple has to be Forest Temple of OoT.
Just because of the music, and the fact that there's plenty of puzzles to keep you busy for a while. (I just don't like the floormasters. Ugh. I've always disliked them though).

My favourite mini-dungeon is the Well for Shadow Temple.
Who can't love those tall, dead hands?
Gripping onto your face and sucking out your very life force as you stand in fear, unable to move.

MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!!!!

I vote Ice/Snow because I loved Ice Cavern in OoT as well as Snowpeak Ruins from TP. I also love water temples in OoT/TP I thought they were fun and challenging, but not impossible. And the OoT Forest Temple. Amazing music there.

I'm re-answering this question because my answer has changed quite a bit!

I would still say my favorite WW dungeon is the Earth Temple. That temple will forever have a special place in my heart. But I would say now that I've come to love the Temple of the Gods practically just as much. The cinematic sequence in which the tower emerges from the ocean is just too cool (WW has some of the best cutscenes period imo). And the boss of that dungeon is my favorite in WW, definitely. It's like Bongo Bongo without wanting to kill myself.

My answer for Twilight has changed. Still love the Temple of Time, but the Arbiter's Grounds....I think I've really come to enjoy the feel of that dungeon more. It is one of the best examples of of a "uniquely TP-esque" dungeon, if you get what I mean. The very nature of its existence is based on relatively mature themes (having been a prison for the worst of Hyrule's criminals, including Ganondorf, where they were sentenced to either exile via the Twilight Realm or death). I've also come to appreciate how it is really the only dungeon in which both Link's human and wolf forms have to be fully utilized in order to get through it. Unfortunately the item you get in it (the Spinner) is really only useful within the dungeon itself (except for some extras and like two seconds of the Temple of Time to make sure you're sequencing the temples in the right order), which is disappointing. But the boss and mini-boss fights are really cool.

I still think the Lakebed Temple is quite good too, mostly because I love the look and functionality of the Zora Armor and how that Temple puts it to damn good use (I liked how swimming was mechanized in TP even better than in SS).

In OoT my favorite has DEFINITELY become the Shadow Temple. Similar to what I like about the Arbiter's Grounds, the themes of Hyrule's dark history and death strike a chord with me. How Zelda has implemented creepy/dark themes in it's dungeons over the years is something I've become very fond of...on a similar note, I also (rather obviously) love the Bottom of the Well. The music is hauntingly electrifying and thrilling, and while I really dislike Bongo Bongo because of its annoying difficulty I still thoroughly admire its design and execution.

And now for my relatively newer Skyward answer! The clear choice of favorite temple from that game for me, which I've known since my first run-through (just beat Hero Mode ;D) is the Ancient Cistern. It has a great combination of what I've now established as my favorite dark Zelda elements and what I enjoy most about water-themed dungeons. Again, I don't like the mechanics of swimming in SS as much as I did in TP, but in the context of this temple that part was relatively painless. Also, Koloktos is hands down my favorite boss from the entire game. A long and tedious fight, to be sure, and I'm damn well glad I didn't have to face him in the Boss Rush on Hero Mode, but it's still a lot of fun. Dungeons in Skyward are some of my overall favorites and especially memorable, in my opinion, because they break from the traditional norm in that most of them are some odd combination of more traditional singularly-themed dungeons from previous games.

Reading back through this and realizing that my penchant for more morbid and creepier Zelda elements is really coming through now....*chuckles darkly*
