The Trials of Love:We're Counting On You
We all know of heaven and hell,angels and demons....The only question is,do you believe in them?
Heaven is where the angels reside. Beautiful,kind,and honest they are the protectors. As for hell,that's where the demons call home. Dark,merciless,seductive,tricksters who,according to the angels,can't be trusted. On the rare occassion these two sides collide one would think hostility and violence would be the result of such a meeting between two completely different beings. Most of the time that was the case,except for one meeting between a young angel and an injured demon. The demon was severly injured in a fight and sought refuge in the human world. Some may say it was coincidence that at that time the young angel was also in the human world,but they like to think it was fate. Instead of killing the injured demon the angel took pity on him and saved his life. The two grew closer and eventually formed a strong bond,a bond that over the years has developed into love. Recently their relationship was discovered by both sides who thought a love between the two species was impossible and could never survive. Normally they would have been put to death for such a betrayal,but they managed to convince the Higher Ups on both sides to make a deal. If they could prove that love could prevail under the most difficult circumstances they would remain together,if not,they would be seperated and punished for their crime. Not knowing what to do the angel came up with a plan. Before they were discovered the two had spent much time in the human world,the only place they thought they would be safe,and the angel grew close to the humans and their way of life. They would choose four human couples and put their love to an ultimate test. One of the two partners would have their memory completely erased of the one they claim to love and all traces of that person would be removed. It would simply be as if they never existed. The other would keep all his memories and have the task of trying to help their loved one remember them. Easy right? Hardly. The one who's memories remain will be transformed into a ghost of sorts. No one would be able to see,hear,or feel them including their partner. They can't touch or speak to their loved one but they do have a few abilities to help them out. They can move inaniment objects,so for example if you want to lead them somewhere you think may help jog their memory you can open a door and simply pray the other is feeling curious at the moment. The only time they can communicate with their loved one is in dreams,but who really takes their dreams seriously? Especially when its about some stranger they've never met before in their life. It takes a lot of energy to contact a person through dreams so they can only interact through dreams every third night. If at any point one of the invisable partners lose hope and decide to give up on their relationship the deal will be automatically broken. The demon didn't like the idea of leaving the fate of their relationship in the hands of mortals but couldn't think of any other way. With their deal approved by both sides all the demon and angel can do now is sit back and let these pitiful humans decide the outcome of not only the demon and angel's relationship,but their own as well.
Oh and did I forget to mention one other little problem facing our four couples? Word has spread throughout both races about the bargain and although most have excepted the deal there are a small group of demons who have planed to take matters into their own hands in order to stop the combining of the species. They have traveled to the human world and have the ability to interfear with the forgotten. They can not interact with the humans that have lost their memories but they can sabatoge the invisible's efforts. Demon's are sly and seductive as well as powerful and manipulative. They can not kill them,but they can distract them and even interupt dream sequences. They can also place doubt in their heads and even tempt them to leave their partners through seduction. The Higher Ups refuse to do anything about it so the demon and angel couple have decided to return to the human world and lend the forgotten a hand. They also cannot interact with the humans who have had their memories erased but they are able to speak with the forgotten and guide them. They can protect them from the group of rouge demons and teach them the ways to contact their loved one's.
The Couples
The Destined Lovers
Roles: The Wealthy and The Outcast
These two have been best friends from an early age and now that their older have formed a relationship together. One of the boys comes from a very well to do family who is both rich and proper,while the other boy lost his parents at a young age and has struggled just for the right to survive. The rich boy's family highly disapproves of their son's relationship choice and is constantly trying to seperate the two. They tempt him with high class women and threaten him with the loss of their family name along with his birth right to the estate. Their bond is strong and true,but will it be strong enough to survive this trial?
The Troubled Lovers
Roles: The Innocent and The Tainted
These two met not long ago. One of the boys is sweet,innocent and cares for others while the other is said to be a player who is only out for his own well being and cares for no one but himself. At first the player only went after the innocent boy as his next conquest and intended to throw him away once he became bored of him like all the others. What he didn't plan on was the fact he may actually start to care for this boy,and that's just what happened. However,old habits die hard. Though he has stayed with the young boy till now he's becoming distant and often dissapears for days on end. The innocent boy is constantly worried that his partner will leave him and go back to his old ways. Will this trial bring these two closer together or be the event that finally drives them apart?
The Forbidden Lovers
Roles: The Teacher and The Student
Teacher and student relationships seem to be becoming a more popular occurance these days. This is an example of one. The teacher knows he could not only lose his job and possibly be sent to jail if anyone were to find out about them,but would also have to deal with the scorn and ridicule of society. Is being with the one he loves worth all the risks? The student feels bad for putting the person he cares about in this situation but still can't bring himself to let him go.
The Secret Lovers
Roles: The Married and The Desperate
These two seem like your average couple who love eachother deeply,except for one small thing. One of them isn't free to love his partner for he has all ready commiteed himself to a relationship. Yep,he's married. Don't you just hate it when that happens? The married man is in constant turmiol. He knows he should end the affair and go back to his wife but he can't seem to let his lover go. The married man's lover isn't much better off. He knows the other could leave him at any moment and he's nearly powerless to stop it. He loves his partner but is tired of having to share him and keep their relationship a secret. Will this trial finally help the married man see that his lover is the one he truly wants to devote himself completely to,or will his lover's worst fear come to pass that the married man will chose his wife over what they had?

These are the demons who are trying to make sure the two species never join forces by causing trouble for the chosen couples. They are invisible to all except the forgotten and the Angel/Demon couple.
The Angel and The Demon
They are obviously our main couple who's relationship will be determined by the outcome of the four human couples. At first they were going to sit back and simply allow the humans to face the task of reuniting themselves on their own,but with the threat of the group of rouge demons causing mischief they decided to even the score by lending the humans their help. They travel to the human world in order to locate the forgotten and offer them their assistance. Like the demon's they can also only be seen by the forgotten,and the rogue demons of course.
The Forgotten
These are the one's that will be transformed into ghosts and have the task of getting their lovers' to remember them,so obviously the other person in the relationship is the one who has their memories erased. Though they can't be seen by their significant other these four characters can interact with eachother normally. Will these four boys simply take on the task by themselves or realize they are all after one thing,to be reunited with the one's they love,and join forces to help one another get them back? Will they also allow the help of the Demon and Angel couple who are responsible for their situation in the first place?

The four couples have been chosen and are granted one last day to be together as they are. The following morning when they awaken they will find a note next to them that simply reads "You Have Been Chosen." They are the only one who can see it and inside it is a brief explanation of what has happened and what is expected of them. During the night the plan had already been set into motion and all traces of them were erased as they will soon come to realize.
