 The Twisted Serpent Tavern, the place where the hardest and the toughest of The Basilisks come to hang out in dark corners enjoying the spoils of their victories. It is the single most dangerous location within the Envy district. Recently a small corner of the Tavern has been remade into a sweets shope, complete with lavender wallpaper, lace curtains and frilly barstools pulled up to tables perfect for a tea party. Initial complaints about the change in decor were quickly quieted. Now anyone who badmouths the sweets-shoppe or it's best customer is liable to meet an ugly, painful end

Camille stood just outside the door to the Twisted Serpent. It was nearly sunset and she was still all by herself.
"I hope he's not going to take much longer, Mr. Bun bun." She said to her stuffed bunny rabbit, beginning to feel cross. "I'm getting hungry."

There was a sudden stirring in the shadows as the click of heavy military boots could be heard on the cobblestone walk. A dark figure soon emerged, his long coat billowing out behind him, the chain deisgn seeming to lash at the shadows around him. Approaching the tavern, he looked down at the young girl, his eyes seeming to glitter like twin coals from his deep set sockets. "Please, excuse my lateness Miss Camille." He gave a small bow. "I was...interrupted en route."

"Mr Bun bun forgives you..." Camille held her arms out to the tall man next to her, with a slightly pouty expression. "I need muffins to be convinced."

Lucifer moved to take her into his arms, lifting her small body easily as he pushed open the door to the tavern. "Very well. What kind of muffins would you like?" As they entered, the conversations floating around the bar didn't cease immediately like a bad Western, but instead took more frequent pauses as everyone worked to keep an eye on the tavern's newest patrons that evening.

"Hmmmm....Tonight I think..... Bluuuuuuberry!" Camille giggled, taking a moment to wave at some of the tavern "regulars."
"Would you put on some mint tea first? Thirsty, thirsty!" She pointed to an especially plush little chair with a tall, miniature copy right next to it, as though he didn't know where to seat her.

Lucifer made his way over to the lavender corner, setting her down on the plush chair atop a small pillow, removing an even smaller version from his breast pocket to place it atop Mr. Bun bun's seat. "Of course. The usual for Mr. Bun bun?"

Camille nodded emphatically. As she helped Mr. Bun bun into his seat, she hummed a bouncy variation of a funeral dirge.

Lucifer disappeared back behind the bar for a moment, making his way into a back room before emerging with a blueberry muffin on a flowery plate, complete with matching tea kettle that seemed to be boiling even as he carried it. Setting the muffin down in front of her, he moved to pour her tea into a delicate tea-cup, moving to set a thin slice of carrot cake in front of Mr. Bun bun. "Enjoy."

"Mr. Bun bun says thank you." Camillle smiled brightly, until she looked down at the table.
"Luci....where is your cup?" she asked eyes going wide and slightly misty.

Lucifer looked at her for a moment before giving a small sigh, removing an identical cup to hers, down to the flower design on the side, and set it on the table, filling it with tea. "It seems I forgot about it." Setting the pot back down on the table, he moved to sit in a chair that was much too small for his lanky 6'3" form, taking a sip of his jasmine tea.

Camille took a dainty bite of her muffin before stuffing the whole thing in her mouth. Once she had finally gotten it the rest of the way down, she looked over at her stuffed rabbit. Somehow, even though he'd only been looked away from for a moment, all that remained of the carrot cake was crumbs on the flowery plate and his little pink embroidered nose.
"Yummy! Now I forgive you Luci!" She said, reaching forward for her teacup with eager little hands.
"Who are we going to visit today, Luci? Has anyone..." she looked practically gleeful. "...been naughty?"

Lucifer, having set his tea down after one sip, stood, nodding. "It seems there have been rumors of a few dissidents near the Lust border. Those that try to resist your efforts. As well as a few who haven't been keeping in line as we might like." He had given similar reports to Vincent when he had been in charge, but often they had to do with what other Districts were doing and how he could make his more like theirs.
