Okay. I've read all of the Arty Fowl books at least five times each and I still don't understand the meaning of "D'arvit". I've only figured out that its a curse word and that its very offensive. But, I would like to know what it means, help me?

it must be a bad word since they said that word then said they cursed.

D'Arvit is a swear word in the fairy language that has not been explained in Mud Men terms in the novel. All we know is that it's a particularly foul swear word in the fairy language, and most of the LEP (and Mulch) use it on a rather regular basis.

I believe it's Colfer's way of swearing in a kids book without having to use vulgar language.

There might me some explanation in the Fowl files, I haven't read that in ages, but I don't recall it.

It's never translated, and when it's first introduced Colfer says there's no point in translating it since it would merely have to be censored. So yeah, it's a way to swear in a kid's book.
