" The spiritual realm, and the physical realm are forever fused together by the wonderful powers of the heavens. Without the spiritual...There can be no physical. Without the physical there can be no spiritual. The world's design reflects sharply in both realms....That which occurs in the spirit manifests in it's own way in the physical realm.

That is the supreme law of the world.

Without the two worlds to affect each other behind the final sliver of a wall that separates them...All would be thrown into chaos....But also if the two merge the world can only end.

The spiritual, and the physical are two sides of the same coin. If the spirit is light...The flesh is darkness.

That which rests inbetween and balances all things is the mind, the collective, the Zero Ground." -- Unknown

You had read this passage somewhere...You aren't sure where. You aren't even sure when---But deep down every word seems to resonate with your very soul. You sit there in your desk....Staring at the small letter sitting in front of you. The passage placed on the envelope causes the thought of simply throwing the letter away to seem suddenly irrational.

" From , Chie.....To 'You'." you read to yourself as you look over the marks that declared this 'club invitation letter'.....You decide instantly that it can't be just that....But...Why does it feel that way?

You slowly open it to find....

"Hello.

I have written this letter personally to you.

I've decided that this school which lacks a 'Supernatural Investigation Club' should finally find it's self no longer neglected.

Having taken note of your character, and personality....As well as the abilities you think only you know you have, I have decided that it would be an honor to have you join us.

Surely the passage I have written seemed familiar to you? If this is so I know I will meet you soon.

Let's start this Freshmen Year with a bang!"

St. Raphael Private Boarding School....The Old Reincroft Cemetery....The Back Allies.....Fallen Saint's Hill....and the school town of which these areas surround known as Whitegrove.

In this area there is high spiritual activity unlike any other place in the world. Here the existence of shadows, and the Dark Hour continue...Why? We'll soon find out.

Welcome to Whitegrove.

From Miyamoto, Chie...to Sephyr, Jackson.

"..."

Jack Sephyr had looked forward to the letter, seeing it with the school's insignia on it and that haunting passage. Why did it seem so familiar?

Well, whatever. He shook it off rather quickly and had proceeded to tear open the envelope for its attempts at hypnosis.

He read it over, indeed silenced.

Yes, this was what he'd been hoping for. A club. He needed social interactions and bad, after having lost most contact his old friends due to his personal misfortune of a winning lotto ticket. But just think, a leading community of our nation and a quality education one could only have DREAMED possible! Just in time for your first year of high school! What a, FRESH, start, haha!

He had stuck out his tongue at that parental sentiment several times over the past week, occasionally forgetting he was in public at the time.

...How did this girl even know about him, though?! Did he have a stalker? Was she psycho, and if so, was she at least kind of ugly?

"Wait...what if it's a teacher?!"

Mm...no...a teacher at this place couldn't be so stupid as to send an invitation in written form to the person they were stalking. Even Jack could surmise that much.

"Eew, whatever, dude..." Yes, talking to himself. "This club sounds a bit freaky...no, REALLY freaky..."

Jack's appearance: average build, 5 ft 6 in, spiky dark blonde hair with a small fringe down half his neck. Brown, innocent-looking eyes.

"Abilities? A few moments of crazy bullshit, but even I don't understand those...weird ugly stalker chick..."

"Oh well! On my way~!"

Already dressed in his uncomfortably formal wear, he rushed out the door and made his way to the room. He'd used his study hours to memorize a map of the school for social reasons, and found practically himself flying down the steps-- and then he stopped at the bottom, checked himself. He'd just get yelled at like those other freshmen had this week, given a detention, maybe assigned an essay if he really pissed off a dean. He had a tendency of doing that to people without meaning to...

Walking his way to the room, he hesitated once he was in reach of the door. A door. This could change his life forever. Whatever!

He went in.

Nero rolled out of bed and hit the floor with a thud. He sighed and picked himself up, walked to his mirror, and dusted himself down.
"mornin', jackass..." he muttered to his reflection, running a hand through his black hair, which fell to just past his ears. "Another perfect day in paradise huh?"
After a quick shower, he lazily pulled on his uniform, leaving his shirt unbuttoned at the top. So, first day... he thought, pulling on his dark fingerless gloves, means newbies... fresh meat. this brought a grin to his face, and he quickly left his room. The halls were quiet, mainly due to the fact he'd slept in, which was perfect for him. Nero Artbridge hated crowds, especially crowds of kids.
He strolled slowly through the school, idly clicking his fingers to some silent beat. The six foot one senior kept to himself usually, save for when he was forced to work with those damn... he clicked his fingers once more. It was a sharp, loud sound that brought and end to his beat, and was quickly followed by a thud as his shoe connected with the club room door, causing it to slam open.
"Morning, bitches" he muttered as he entered, shouldering the door shut again.

"Y'know I might get a complex if you keep randomly calling me a b***h...whether or not it's true." a bored tone slipped out," Besides...watch it, jackass...New kid's in the door. You almost ran over 'em y'big ape."

Kaede Harada would look up, gently brushing back a few long strands of black from her vision. In one hand she had her cigarette---which was live, and hidden from anyone whom might come through the door. The other hand held an Angel Sanctuary manga that was being held open by her thumb.

"Close the ******** door, Nero...Geezus.", she'd groan while sending her deep brown eyes into a glare in his direction. The way she sounded it was almost as if she were suffering from a hangover....The new kid couldn't have been expecting this.

Lifting her cigarette to her lips again she'd take a short drag, before allowing the smoke to slip from her lips.

She didn't seem to take note of the kid at all.

Or...He would have went in, but right as his hand was prepared to grip the handle of Destiny or whatever nonsense his father seemed to speak sometimes, the dramatic symbol was dramatically kicked open and he quickly drew back his arm, startled, as a tall, tough looking guy passed him by.

...Was she smoking a cigarette? He couldn't decide whether he thought that was cool or stupid and hazardous-- he'd heard accounts of both before. He decided it smelled weird and left his thinking at that, but did note the vulgarity of the room. Would the teacher be laid back enough to allow that?

Shrugging, he stepped into the room. "Hi, um, is this..."

"St. Raphael's Supernatural Investigation Club? I'm guessing by your hesitation that you've come to the right place." He stuck out his hand for a shake, which Jack took firmly enough, as this guy seemed pleasant..and only a couple inches taller. "Welcome. My name is Aydinzeo Miyamoto, Aydin for short. My sister, Chie, will be in shortly."

"Hey, Aydin. I'm Jack...just take a seat then?"

"Ah, you...Of course, then."

"Thanks."

Aydin's mid-length white, silvery ponytail, his golden amber eyes, and his cool composure would show some definite resemblance to his sister.

"So, what're your initial thoughts on the club, Jack?"

"Me? Well, it sounds...interesting...heh. Don't get mad at this, but Chie sounded like a stalker in the letter. But it's okay, cause she's not, yeah?"

Aydin chuckled a bit, but didn't directly answer.

The senior fell into a seat near Harada, resting his feet on a desk, and began casually massaging his knuckles. His eyes drifted over this newcomer, assessing him coldly. He was kind of short, and looked weak. That and by his tone he clearly lacked confidence. Did he even have abilities? Nero supposed only time would tell that, but from first impressions, he doubted this Jack would last two weeks.

"hey, man-toy..." he muttered, nudging Harada, "what d'you make of 'im huh? If you ask me, he's well and truly screwed. I mean... just look at him. Why'd the girl even write to him anyway?"

He planted his feet firmly on the floor then, resting his elbows on his thighs and leaning forward slightly, aiming to get a closer look at Jack. His eyes narrowed and he chuckled under his breath.

"Y'know I'm not afraid to punch you in that nasty a** mouth of your's.", Harada replied dryly, she'd then shoot a glare at him as he continually nudged her. She'd close one eye as she was forced to shift in her seat. Finally a soft sigh came from her lips before she sat her book down, and looked up at the boy that walked in.

"Pfft...Really? This is the guy Chie-sama was so excited about?", she'd finally state with an honestly amused half-smile. She'd slip her cigarette from her lips, and let it rest in between her fingers.
"He looks like he'd break if we poked him too hard...Might be good for shadow bait.", she'd grin in Nero's direction.

"Hopefully he doesn't get in the way...", she'd grumble before opening her manga again.

--------------------

"I think he'll be positively wonderful to have about...", a silver haired girl walked in with a rather wry smile on her lips. Her golden amber orbs glew gently against the image of Jack as she walked in.

"Welcome to the club, Jack...I assure you...The very moment you walked through this door you sealed your fate. I expect great things from you...Though that is only if you wish to join us."

Chie would then cross her arms, and look over at Harada as if she had done something,"...I do believe you realize this is a non-smoking faculty."

____________

Harada glanced back, and sighed before slipping the cigarette from her lips, and putting it out on the window seal she was leaning against.

"Fine fine...", she'd groan softly," So...Does this little s**t even know what his Persona's name..Or are we raising a puppy?"

suddenly, a grin broke out on his youthful face, and his eyes flashed golden for a moment. Nero was not one to pass up an opportunity to piss off someone he didn't get along with, and when that someone was Harada, he went into overdrive.

Leaning over, he glanced at her manga, and his grin widened. He glanced up at her, sweetening his smile in mock-interest. This was just too wonderful to pass up. Any thought of consequence was far from his sadistic mind.

"Hey Hary-chan, enjoying the read? You do know that Sara dies quite soon right? Just to make sure you don't get too attached, I'd hate for you to be disappointed" He muttered in her ear, his smile sharp as his tongue.

A sudden pause in her cigarette touching the window seal. The biker-chick appearing sophomore would pause in her actions as if Nero had said something that was akin to insulting her mother. Her expression was blank at first...then slowly the sight was obvious. She was boiling over inside...and it was obvious to see in the slowly growing--and crooked smile she had on her lips...as if she was still attempting to look congenial to the new kid....

...However her rage won the battle.

SSSSSSS...

Without even taking a moment to consider her actions, without even thinking to say anything witty, that might be thrown into their usual bickering....The cigarette in her left hand found it's self swiftly attracted to the crouch of Nero's pants. The sound of hissing slipped into the still air...The materials of his pants obviously growing in temperature...and the narrowed eyes of her expression...They would all work to bring out one simple occurrence.

Pausing in her fury, she'd glance down at his pants...She'd pull her cigarette back, and she'd lean back in her seat casually.

She'd bring the cigarette to her lips and took a drag.

"Hey Nero. Your pants are on fire."

It was as if she were commenting on the weather.

Aydin allowed himself a small, good-natured grin at the newcomer's glaring expression and silence. "Jack, I wouldn't worry about it. Surely these two can think back to a time when they knew nothing of Persona, Arcana, Shadows, or any other supernatural words that mean nothing to you so far. I assure you, you'll have a great time here, once you've become a little more used to things."

Jack nodded, grateful, and both of them turned to Chie. Aydin simply nodded, as if perhaps the gesture in itself could convey the message he sought to get across, and Jack stuck out his hand in following of Aydin's example. "Hey, Chie...nice to meet you. I wanna give this club a try, so thank you both for your confidence, I guess."

She was rather young looking, as if she still went to this school. Apparently this organization was student-run? Or was the sponsor teacher still absent? Yet another thought that left his mind as quickly as it came.

And he allowed himself to grin, both at Harada's minor scolding and Nero's...minor problem? Yeah.

Aydin stared at the cigaratte and its smoke for a moment before walking over to a desk. He knelt down and retrieved a fire hydrant, bringing it to Nero. "This still has a few uses left in it, likely. By the way, Harada...?"

He trailed off from there, and sat down in his own chair. He'd informed her of the possible penalties for starting a fire on campus in the past.

With wide eyes, Nero snatched the fire extinguisher from Aydin and tossed it at the wall in rage. It bounced across the room as he got to his feet and patted himself down. His cold green eyes swung across the room and connected with Harada, a golden tint slowly seeping into them as they narrowed.

Nero was dangerous at the best of times, often choosing to engage in a fight rather than talk his way out of a situation. Yet when enraged, he was a force of nature.

"Jeez, you wound up piece of biker-trash. Are you honestly so desperate to get my pants off that you'd burn 'em up?" a cold, harsh tone shot from behind pale, thin lips, "I mean seriously, girl, I've told you before. You're not. My. Type."

His fists were clenched, turning his knuckles white as snow, and his fingernails were digging so far into his palms it hurt. Yet he kept his hands behind his back, out of her view and away from her face. For some reason, he held back his instinct to knock that smugness out of her.

"Y'want me to blast some skull right here and now? See how you handle the big bad wolf?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 03, 2010 7:58 pm

Harada smirked, and looked up at him," I think I'm handling the 'big bad wolf' pretty good...He's standing there like an embarrassed kindergartner." She'd then laugh at his expression," The expression on your face is ******** priceless. I dunno whether to feel sorry for you, and throw you a bone or laugh my a** off."

She'd then slip the cigarette from in-between her lips, she'd causally put the cigarette out on his seat.

"Honestly if all you can do is run around swinging your ******** fists around? Y'no better then the rest of the brainless jocks around here...Only reason you got any worth otherwise is 'cause you got a Persona...and a shotty two bit piece of s**t one at that...", She'd say with that smile of hers, her cold tone reaching a new intensity of cold.

"Y'wanna hit me now, big boy? Sure y'won't hurt yourself?"

"Does this happen often?"

"You really have no idea."

"I see. When do I start taking notes?"

"A fair question indeed."
PostPosted: Sun Jan 03, 2010 8:09 pm

"M'not goin' to hit you, b***h..." he muttered, his whole body shaking, "but... stop insulting my persona... Cause he... really doesn't like it." he blinked then, and as his eyes reopened they were shining golden, full of caged anger and hate.

Lifting a shaking hand to his face, he rubbed his eyes, turning his face from Harada and murmuring under his breath. He stepped back from her, his free hand shoved into his pocket.

"Uh... excuse me a sec. I need a minute to... yeah."

He crossed the room swiftly and sat on a far window ledge, his back to the group and his hand still over his eyes.

"Right...Well then let's get down to business, and put away all the nonsense." Chie would speak up as she moved to sit on a desk. "If you would look around you...You'll notice there are the same amount of desks as there are people currently in the room. Had this been as promising a year as I had hoped for there would be tarot cards sitting on each desk.", she'd chuckle.

"However there is only one...and that one is your's. Please go to it, and pick up your tarot card. From there we will explain to you the basis, and design of the club."

--------------------

Harada watched him walk off, and sighed softly. A soft roll of her eyes, and she'd turn her attention to Chie as she spoke. A soft smirk came to her lips...She had to wonder what his tarot card was. Maybe 'The Death', or 'The Magician'....Something that sounded cool.

After all Chie had been so excited about the possibility of a new member...and hell even Aydin showed some interest...

"Hey, Kindergartner...Betcha it's 'Death.'....It'd be ironic that suck a useless looking kid would be that strong, huh?"
