where did the name 'Bleach' derive from? dose it have any anime purpose? [this topic will be deleted after one day]

Actually, I read an little snippet of the November 08 Shonen Jump and they interviewed Tite Kubo. They asked him why he named it Bleach. So, not word for word, he said he originally was gonna make the characters use guns except for Rukia, so he was going to call it Snipe. But then he thought that swords were better, so Snipe wouldn't fit anymore. Then, since the shinigami wear black kimonos, he'd call it something related to that. Black would be a boring title, and the opposite, White, would also be a boring title. And finally, he called it Bleach to make the reader/viewer think of the color white.
So think bleach with guns sweatdrop

seriously i dont know how that would work? would there guns sealed be pistoles and then like some mid sized gun for Shikai and the for bankai a bazooka?

i think with the swords came Shikai and stuff idk if bleach had somewhat of i didn't story plot with the guns than they changed it to fit the swords.

Oh! And one more tidbit of info. When it was gonna be snipe, Rukia was gonna have a scythe, not a gun. They wanted her characture to be extra special. mrgreen

That does sound cool, actually. If Bleach were made by a british group, it may have done that. You've got Hellsing which had guns. Alucard is the s**t. Bleach, if done right, would have been good with guns.
