Seth Norton stood on the pinnacle of Dubai's, and possibly the world's, most exclusive hotel. The wind played with his robes, which undulated like the weeds at the bottom of a pond. "Can you see him?" Esrath hissed. Seth drew his wand and tapped the side of his head. "Oculus Verum," he whispered. His vision crystallized, blacked out entirely, then drew back into focus. The world as he saw it was a maelstrom of glowing runes, describing in infinite detail the scope of his vision.
"Yes," Seth hissed triumphantly. "I can see him." A predatory smile spread across his face as he withdrew a tiny broomstick from his robes. "Engorgio." He mounted the broom, Esrath withdrawing into his collar. The wind ushered him off into the night.

Lord Reshop stood at the window of his penthouse suite, the most powerful wizard in the East. His designer robes clung to his body, fitted and imbued with protective enchantments that were present as a hum just below the range of hearing. He spoke in a harsh rasp as he turned.

"Irony, Seth, that after all these years of being hunted, you show up at my doorstep of your own free will. Avada kedavra!" He leveled his wand, shooting a brilliant streak of emerald light across the room.

"Avis," Seth replied calmly. His wand emitted a bang, and several birds burst from the end, blocking the Killing Curse in a spray of feathers. "Quite frankly, I'm amazed no one's figured that one out. But then again, you were just one of Voldemort's pet dogs until he died. Quite a name you've made for yourself with his little slush fund." Seth gestured to the grotesquely elaborate room. "But once a cut-price murderer, always a cut-price murderer. Tell your little play group I'm done running. Expulso!"

The general area around Reshop detonated, propelling him through the panoramic window and into the Stygian night. Over the cacophony of splintering glass, the distinctive pop of a Disapperation reached Seth's ears. He took a flying leap out of the window and mounted his broom, diving to careen through the city, curses streaking past him, and adversaries closing in.
