Personality: She is a very shy woman, often keeping to herself and leaving others to do as they please. This is rumored to have developed because of other children poking fun at her expense while she was alive. She has a very kind heart however, always trying to help those who she thinks need it, even if they disagree. All of this she seems to do without many words, coming in to help then leaving just as quickly as she came. Its is rumored that she can have a funny side, but her shyness has kept her from proving this one way or the other. Despite all of this, she does have times when her temper explodes and she becomes tough as nails. Not a person to be messed with when she is like this.
Likes: Mio likes tea, and the members of the Soul Society.
Dislikes: Hallows and those who would hurt other shinigami.
Appearance: Relatively short as compared to many other people as she only stands about 5’1” tall without the aid of shoes. She is skinny as most people describe her, looking like she didn’t get enough to eat when she was growing despite her background and being fed well. Fair skin tones cover her body, giving the small woman a beautiful outward appearance and gentle blue eyes add to her appearance, having a naturally soft look to them. Long brown hair reaches down to the base of her back and is usually allowed to hang free of ties. Mio tends to wear the kimono in a slightly different manner then most. Her left arm is free from the black leaving only the white of the outfit exposed. This unused part hangs freely behind her, held there simply because the rest of the kimono is in place.
Special Items: She constantly wears a necklace with the symbol of a lion at its end. The chain is tightly woven silver and the lion charm is also cast in silver. Under her belt she carries small bombs and a small collection of fire starting material. She also carries a fan hidden in her right sleeve.
Skills: Huge amounts of spiritual pressure giving her large amounts of strength. Stealthy Steps. Flamewave. Explosives.

Spirit Description: The spirit of the blade is a huge lion whose mane and tail tip are ablaze. His body is flame yellow and the mane is red, sometimes drawing the yellow from his body into the red. From his head grow two large golden bull horns, and his eyes are pools of molten red. Oushi Raion is seven feet tall and appears around Mio when she uses bankai, usually standing behind her, and follows her sword swings, his huge paws swiping with each swing and hitting with explosive force. The heat he gives off is unbearable to everyone around Mio though it doesn't affect Mio herself.
Shikai Description: The whole of the sword is about as tall as Mio from pommel to tip. The tsuka is still covered in the red ribbon from the first form, only it has become forked at the tip as if torn slightly. The tsuba has grown into a set of clawed hooks, four pointing toward the sword and four smaller ones curving back toward the tsuka. The blade itself consists of nine forward curving blades with the two at the tip curving up slightly, giving them a fanned out look. This is used for slicing up her foes and causing serious damage when used as a thrusting weapon. When used slicing the fanned blades at the tip allow her to cut through most anything. The sword is tinted an orange color and the tsuba is golden yellow.
Shikai Abilities: 1: "Heat the Air!" Flame wave. When she slashes the air around the blade become super heated and spread along the air super heating as it goes to inflict burning damage as well as the cutting damage. She can control the direction of the flame by moving the blade.
2: "Burn the Ground!" Mio thrusts her blade into the earth, super heating it along a straight path and melting the earth, or whatever material is being stood on, until it melts away into a molten material. Little control over the direction, only goes straight with a slight curve if she moves the blade.
3: "Disperse the Water!" Using the Flamewave ability she casts the blades flame into the nearest water source. The extreme heat collides with the water and causes it to form a super heated gas, searing anyone unlucky enough to be near the attack.
Bankai Description: The sword has become much taller then Mio, being an amazing 6'5" from pommel to tip. The blade is as wide, if not wider, then Mio, meaning she can use the width as a shield from attacks. The Tsukamaki is still red only the end has become a red tassel. The tsuba looks like two long golden bull horns that have encased the base of the blade. The fuchi is covered in a thick golden mane from which the tsuba horns appear to grow from. The long, thick blade has three backwards angled points along the Ha of the sword and one backward curving blade along the Mune. These are used for grabbing and cutting through grabbed body parts. Toward the tip of the sword, the blade takes the shape similar to a star or explosion. Two points run vertical, sprouting up and down from the blade. Two more are angled out like half and X, pointing out from the first two points. The last point sticks straight out from the other points, running out along like the rest of the blade. The sword itself is tinted red.
Bankai Appearance: When she goes into Bankai, Mio gains a lions mane headdress that is ablaze like the spirit of her blade. She also obtains golden shoulder pads that look like lions paws that grip her shoulders.
Bankai Abilities: Only "Heat the Air!" carries over into Bankai.
1: "Destroy the Enemy!" Anything thing the sword cuts she forces large amounts of energy into, making it overflow to the point where whatever was cut explodes. Even a single point can cause a body part to explode. A full slash can cause buildings to explode. She can control when she wants something to blow up, which is great for surprise attacks when the surrounding trees start to explode around an enemy.
2: "Surround the Blade!" Mio calls balls of red energy around the large sword, each one charged to explode when they come in contact with something that isn't Mio or Oushi Raion. They spin and twist around the blade, never staying in one place and making them harder to get around.

History: Mio was born into a lower class family, but they were of the traveling circus which meant a steady income for what it was worth. This meant she wasn't always treated kindly and was usually made fun of by other children, even those who were poorer then her. From a young age the circus set her to work, doing heavy lifting and aiding in the set up of the circus where ever they were. They also taught her some aerobatics so she might fill in when someone got sick. As she got older her family gave her lessons in many aspects of life, but the one she took to the best was swordsmanship. During this point in her life she began to get out more, talking to other people that weren’t members of the circus she traveled with whom she had come to know as family and getting a sense for life outside the one she lead. When she became an adult she spent time giving what she had to people who needed it more then her, helping out homeless children and people who asked her respectfully for help. She always did this with a gentle smile and little words before returning back to the circus. This made her popular among the people in the towns she had visited. Even with this generosity, there would always be people who were just full of hate, and would take it out on the people no one would miss.
One day, while visiting a bigger town then they usually did, the young Mio went out to explore the town before the show and maybe help out the local homeless. While out, she was ambushed by some thugs who were just looking for money and anything else of value she might have had. They took what little she had, then killed her and left her to rot outside. Sticking to the place of her death, Mio continued her help even in death however she could. Most of her acts consisted of lashing out against bandits and the people who had killed her, making these her only acts of violence in her whole life, which she didn’t count because she was dead. After what seemed like ages of wandering the village, she was found by a Soul Reaper who was there to tackle a hallow that sprung up as of recently. Thinking that the boy was a ghost too, she had struck up a friendly conversation with him before he suggested she go to the Soul Society. Asking as to what this place was, he took a few moments to explain before shipping her off without another word. Mio was dropped into a poorer district of the Soul Society, with houses practically run into the ground and the poor all over. So far death wasn't too different from life. Eventually however she came upon the center of the soul society, the soul reaper academy. Where she decided to enroll and continue her habit of helping others.

While sitting in her room creating her bombs she was visited by Kori, an arrancar who sat and had a chat with her as well as demonstrating a new form of bomb to Mio. After a time Matsuyama, the captain of Squad Eight, entered and informed Mio she had to make Kori leave. Before he departed Kori gave to her a rose with the power to open a garganta just as arrancar did and was only attuned to her power (Giving her access to the Hueco Mundo subforum and its "Las Noches" thread). Using it she visited Kori once more and continued their conversation. He informed her of a man named AJ Hattori and asked if she would help in bringing him down.
