mada jinsei nagai deshou? I'm a Neo-Pagan and have been one for a few years on and off due to some...extenuating circumstances. Now many people within the Christian community, not saying this one, but in general has had some preconceived notions that Pagans are some evil satan worshipping force of darkness bent on destroying Christianity or something like that. I've had this idea for a while, but I want you to ask any and all questions that you may have regarding Paganism. This will be sort of an educational/lecture Q&A regarding whatever questions you may have. This can range from basics to what is Paganism, What is Wicca all the way to Why are you a Pagan and What is the overall opinion of Pagans regarding Christianity. This is meant to be a respectful discussion therefore saying things like "I feel sorry for you", "You're going to hell", etc will not be tolerated. Do not get offended if I reply to your question with an answer you do not like or wish to hear. I only offer information I have researched, and researched it thoroughly. Depending on the questions I may even make a guide to the various religions that do not believe in YHVH. For information and educational purposes. I’m missing the feeling…

Which Pagan religion do you follow? What diety(ies) does that include? What are the general forms of worship / actions required in this religion?

mada jinsei nagai deshou? Right now I'm a seeker. Meaning I'm gathering information on different religions and the deities that are worshipped etc. I'm more than likely going to be an eclectic neo-pagan, because that's how my lifestyle is lol. I take in different aspects of different things and apply them to life. Worship can vary from person to person. One can offer food to their deity, perfom witchcraft, do trance dancing, etc. I’m missing the feeling…

Why are you Pagan? What provoked you to be Pagan and not another religion (for example Christianity/Islamic to name the bigger ones)?

mada jinsei nagai deshou? Because it was my calling I guess. Worshipping YHVH is not for everyone. You can't convert to Judaism exactly nor can you convert to Islam. There are certain steps you have to take in order to "convert". Judaism never seemed to be for me. Christianity definetely wasn't for me, done that 3 times in my life and never fit exactly. Islam is an interesting and seems like a beautiful religion, however it never grasped my interest exactly. I have been studied Paganism for 6-7 years on and off. I've studied some of the old legends of the Paleo-Pagan religions and studied neo-pagan religions like Wicca. Much of the legends and the people I have met that were/are Pagan offered more than Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. In a sense there is a chance to learn more and grow and not get suffocated by others stating that what you've studied is incorrect according to them. In other words, the people I met are willing to help people learn more by recommending books that have helped them. They detail their experience and why they came to their decision. They encourage others to learn more about the different various religions (Hellenism, Asatru, Kemeticism, Wicca, Dianic Witchcraft, etc). And they help recommend what to stay away from like Silver Ravenwolf. -shudders-(Which to some Christians is the equivelant to saying Billy Graham or Ted Haggard) Some of the Christians I've encountered have taught me more regarding the translations of the Bible and what the original language actually says versus the English versions, than anything. However there are those who try to encourage people to be blind about what the Bible is, and read what it literally says instead of digging deep in the meanings. I’m missing the feeling…

You've said YHVH a couple times now, what is that and does it have anything to do with YHWH?
And on a side note, it seems like the Christians you've encountered are religous, personally I am Christian and I hate religion.

mada jinsei nagai deshou? YHVH is the name of the Abrahamic God. In other words it's the name of the God you worship. Because the hebrew language doesn't use herbs. It's a hard to pronouce word that is also hard to spell, so many of us say YHVH for short. Though the English form would be Yahweh. Names for G-dExcept being a Christian means that you are apart of a religion...you can't really be irreligious and be a Christian.. I’m missing the feeling…

And "Christians" who go to church every Sunday, always do good deeds, and just accept whatever the pastor tells them as fact, are religious people who try to follow a set of rules to get into heaven. I am not religious because I don't follow any set of rules that religions have, I just put God first in my life and know that he will have me do what I need to do.

I am not religious because I don't follow any set of rules that religions have, I just put God first in my life and know that he will have me do what I need to do. No problem. I guess it's seen both ways because of how it's "pronounced" in English being Yahweh. I put pronounced in quotations because it's more of a guess than an actual pronunciation.

mada jinsei nagai deshou? I don't really know if there is an afterlife. It's the one thing that's always perplexed me all these years. I suppose you could say I believe in reincarnation. That we're reincarnated so we change the things we mess up before going to an actual afterlife. As the old addage states "If at first you don't succeed, try try again." I’m missing the feeling…

mada jinsei nagai deshou? The Rede is just that, advice. Even the word rede means advice. The Threefold law seems to be an offshoot of the Buddhist concept of karma, or the western bastardization of that. Not every pagan believes in the Rede. I don't really follow either. It's not apart of my thing. I believe that some people do get harmed regardless of your actions so it's kinda hard not to harm them intentionally or unintentionally. And being neo-pagan has nothing to do the bible or what the Bible adresses. Pagan means anyone who ISN'T Christian, Muslim or Jew. The word homosexual never appears in the original hebrew, aramaic, or greek Bibles. It was added in the 17th century by one King James. However the KJV isn't a correct translation of the original version. It's more of choosing words that sound good not an accurate translation. ie. qedesh=male prostitute not sodomite. Arsenkotis=man bed (pun) not homosexual. -.- I’m missing the feeling…

mada jinsei nagai deshou? Charms and spells are something witches do well the former I'm not sure on. To be a witch you don't really need to be a Pagan. Wicca is an orthopraxic, mysterious, fetility witch cult. I've done some studying on it, it does seem interesting but it's not my cup of tea. I’m missing the feeling…
