((Okay. I saw this epic movie called 'Death Race' and I just got that stupid plotbunny inspiration bug thing. It's a race [possibly for prisoners trying to win their freedom. >.>] where the only way you can win is to stay alive long enough to do so. The cars and bikes are armored and equipped with guns, missiles, smoke valves.. and other things that make big booms. XD If you're afraid of dying, don't join; that's probably what will happen. Sort of AU-ish, but not really that much.))
Gabriel tightened his gloves on his hands as he glanced over at the rest of his pit crew. Most of them were criminals like him, but they were briliant criminals nonetheless. He ran his tongue over his lips to help calm his nerves as they adjusted the weapons that his bike was loaded with, then checked the armour. He hoped it would last.

Ma-sharu paced irritably outside the bars, not believing his son was actually compeiting in this...death sentence.
Luci sighed quietly, carrying Jaki as she and Phoenix watched him pace, growling in the wolves natie tongue.

One of the men looked up at him. "You okay?" he asked. Gabriel nodded.
"Yeah, Coach, just a little nervous," he said weakly, swallowing. The man grinned.
"First round's always the worst," he said, a bit too cheerfully. "Just try not to die."
Gabriel nodded again. "Yeah. That's the general idea."

"That's not pleasent..."She muttered.
Phoenix sighed quietly, her eyes slightly glazed over.

Gabriel glanced up as one of the other teams passed them. He growled quietly at Nanook, who growled back and zipped up his leather jacket. From what glance he'd caught at the lining, Gabriel judged it to be fireproof as well.
((The other charries can join in the race too. XD))

Gabriel glanced up when a few guards walked to them, heavily armed.
"Prisoner 11420," he recited off of a clipboard, "You have a visitor."
Gabriel let out a sigh and turned off the welding torch, then followed the guards to the set of iron bars that separated the garages from the outside world. He blinked when he reached the iron.
"D-Dad?"

Luci put Jaki down and hopped onto Ma-sharu's back, covering his mouth before he could start shouting. "Calm down man!"She barked.
Jaki blinked while Phoenix stared worriedly at Gabriel.

"What the hell Gabriel?! HOw could you even get involved with something like this?! Are you f**king insane?!" Ma-sharu hissed, hurt obvious in his eyes.
Luci growled and clamed both her hands over his mouth.

Gabriel held back a sigh. He reached through the bars far enough to tug on the hem of Ma-sharu's shirt, then jerked his head to the side and paced away from them parallel to the bars. He stopped a bit of a ways away and held one of the bars with one hand and put the other on his hip as he waited for his father, not impatiently but not patiently either.

Gabriel met his eyes evenly, a spark of determination that made him resemble his father to a degree that was almost scary.
"Dad, I'm not going to spend a life sentence locked in a cage because of a misunderstanding," he hissed, keeping his voice low so that not even Phoenix's sharp cat ears could hear him. "They offered me a way out, and I'm taking it."
