Slytherin Girls' Dorm.
Large, square room with many four-poster beds draped in green and silver silks. A window looks out over the lake showing that, while Slytherin Dorm is in the dungeons, it is built into the cliff, allowing a good view and some natural light.

Rose wlaked in and chose the bed closest to the window, right next to it actually, and unloaded her clothes into the large trunk the elves placed at the foot of her bed. she added some black pillows to the bed for some character, and placed various mundane items on the night stand. when she was sure the spells on her trunk were secure, allowing noone to go in it but her, she smiled as she looked out the window and down at the lake. this is gonna be a good year, i can feel it she thought to herslef

A shadow passed over the room as the door crept open, "Rose?" Bella stepped into the room as her long brown hair brushing down to the small of her back. Her eyes were glittering like emeralds through the shadows at her friend.
"Its been awhile," She tilted her head in a small smile. Sliding gracefully into the room, she choose the bed on the opposite side of the window, laying out a silk quilt across her bed. She smiled contently, setting herself on her domain as the drapes turned from a dusty green & silver to a large canvas of emerald with the slytherin house symbol on it.
"Much better!" She fell back, "I've missed you Rosy!!!! What have you been doing during your summer break?"

Riley Zabini entered the familiar dorm room she shared with three other Slytherin girls. She wondered who her dorm mates would be this year, but honestly she did not really care because it didn't matter anyways.
The dorm room was circular with four four-poster beds. The bedding and drapes where of a royal green with silver lining, and the wood was dark and rich. Riley could already see her luggage placed neatly besides one of the beds, and there where two girls already standing in the room, Rose and a girl Riley had never seen before.
"Hey girls," Riley said casually as she flopped onto her comfortable bed.

Bella lay comfortably on her bed, stretched out with a fond smile creasing against her lips. Turning ever so slightly, she opened her eyes to face the voice she did not recognize.
"Hello, I'm Isabella Cullen." She propped herself up onto her elbows, "I don't believe I met you last year! Its great to finally begin meeting new slytherins."

After sitting for a moment in the common room, Rena headed up to her dorm, and walked through the door to see that there were already three girls in the room. She pursed her lips while looking over them befor falling in towards the last available bed. "Hello," she said simply, smiling slightly-before hearing her owl's cage rattle. She laughed, moving to where the house elves had sat the bird.

Riley perched one of her eyebrows up and looked over to the girl who introduced herself as Isabella. Did this girl honestly have no clue who she was talking to? majority of people in this school knew who Riley Zabini was, and the ones who didn't were living under a rock.
"I'm Riley," She said and smiled politely. Immediately as she finished her sentence their final dorm mate arrived and went over to the last available bed. It was Rena. Riley rolled her eyes she was really hoping none of the other girls were going to have owls as pets, they were always so noisy. The bird was already flapping it wings making a ruckus.

Rena smiled at her bird, stroking it's wing as it edged up to the cage while looking around at her other dormmates. The only one she innitially recognised was Riley Zambini-who was rolling her eyes. Rena had to roll her eyes as well, having an idea that Joda was already getting on her nerves. She would have normally blown this off and just let Joda continue making a mess...but Rena would of course have to be the one to clean it up. She walked over to one of the windows with the cage-opening them both up so that Joda could fly up to the owlery and off to hunt, before turning to the other girls.
"Hi..." she repeated, while moving back to her trunk and starting to unpack her books to a shelf above her bed. "I'm Rena Xenon. I guess we'll all be rooming together this year..."

Alex crept into the dorm, unintentionally avoiding the eyes of the others in the room and being careful not to interrupt the other girls' conversations. She looked among the many beds, and found her belongings at the foot of one of them. Sitting at the foot of the bed, she rummaged through her trunk and retrieved a few items, including a music box which she placed on her nightstand. Locking the trunk, she sat up strait on the bed, looking toward the other girls curiously.
She recognized a few of them, though she hadn't known anyone well. Looking away, Alex allowed herself a small smile, deciding this year was going to be better than last.

Riley watched as another girl walked into the room. "Wow they really are cramming us together this year," She frowned unpleased with this fact. She did not like that they were given the same sized room but now fitting more people in it. It meant having less space and less privacy, which they were already lacking to begin with.
Riley sighed loudly. "You guys better not be boring, I got a lot of plans for us this year" She announced to the gang. Riley always organised dorm parties and nights of sneaking around and out of the castle. She was not ready to have anyone ruin that for her, she planned just like every other year to take her dormmates under her wing.

Alex cleared her throught, not for the sake of getting anyone's attention, simply because her trunk had been dustier than she had expected. She looked at the two long rows of several four-post beds, then gazed at the posts of her own bed. Alex wondered breifly where the rest of this years class was, then stood. "I'm terribly sorry to interrupt you...but I would like to introduce myself..." She spoke loudly, and clearly, addressing the other girls in the dorm. "My name is Alexandria Archer...Bella, Rose, I believe we met last school year, didn't we?" She smiled slightly, being more apprehensive than usual. The other girl, Riley, reminded her of another Slytherin she had met last year...though this one seemed less stuck-up. Alex liked that about her, but kept her mouth shut. Hopefully, this year would hold a little more excitement.

Rena raised an eyebrow-wondering what exactly Riley meant by that. She hopped on her bed after tumbling a few dozen worn books onto her bed, clearing off the shelf under her bed table and starting to line her books around it while the other girl introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you Alexandria," she said clearly as well, continuing to stack her books. "I'm Rena...as I said a few seconds ago..." She laughed a bit at the fact, though there really wasn't anything funny about it. "I don't suppose you go by something shorter though-like Alex...or something?" she eventually followed up.

Alex smiled more widely. "Alex is fine." she eyed the bunch of books, then paused. "Your name is Rena? You must be Slytherin's new Chaser!" The smile on her face grew to a grin as Alex stood, walking a bit closer to Rena and extending a hand to her. "Welcome to the team."

Rena was a little confused at the initial outburst from the so far quiet girl, but eventually grinned, more happy and excited that she'd actually gotton the position. "I seriously got it already?" she blurted. "I thought we had tryouts and all that other stuff... Sweet!" She crawled off her bed and shook the other girl's hand firmly. "And I'm guessing since you already know that-you must be the team captain, Alex."

Alex nodded happily. "Yes, I am. And you would have had to try out, had anyone else requested the position." Alex shook Rena's hand, and released it. "Though, we unfortunatly only have half of a team." Alex sat back on her bed, the topic of Quidditch jolting her energy significantly. "I will be playing Keeper this year. You are our Chaser....we still need candidates for Seeker and Beater...." Alex paused, then sat up strait, flushing a light pink. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to ramble..."
