~Anna Sophia~
“My transformation was phenomenal! I can't believe this! I have wings!” I turn around and look at myself from all the angles I can view myself from. I 'aw' at my wings, the suit I have on. The suit is a cute little dress, all black and shimmery, with an adorable, medium-sized, pearl white bow on the v-neck. My shoes are these killer black boots that are thigh high and so comfortable, and wings that are as clear as water, but as dark as the night.
“Whoa! I am, like, so cute! I never knew I could do this.” I look out over the Grand Canyon, smiling and floating in the air.
What had caused my transformation, I don't know. It just happened. I was walking near the edge of the trail path, when all of a sudden, I slipped and started plummeting to the bottom. In a trance, I didn't realize I was falling until my hand hit a sharp object and started bleeding. In that moment I called out, “Salvame!” Salvame is Spanish for 'save me'. Then, I saw all this shimmery light and my body moved on its' own, and changed into these clothes.
Realizing that I am in the form of the supernatural or magical form, which ever, I fly under a ledge.
I came to the Grand Canyon for some alone time. At school, things were getting crazy, and since I have a whole week to myself, with no homework in the way(thank goodness), I'm going to relax all week.
Sirens were sounding, people were screaming out to me, asking if I was alive.
“Oh no. They're going to find out about this,” my voice quivering with worry.
-Heidi-
“Huh. Why are the life savers coming?” I asked myself, thinking out loud. Looking around, I notice that people are huddling around the edge of the trail path. My feet near the edge of the trail path that no one is looking from, and my eyes see something interesting. A shimmery light-thing zooms under a ledge, what is that?
Quick as a cheetah, I run to my cabin. Rummaging through my bag full of my necessities, I find what I'm looking for.
Silently, I whisper, “Goddess of fire, give me your power!” In a split second, my clothes change into something different, a crimson red top that reveals my belly button and is strapless, an orange red pair of shorts that are five inches above the knee, and these outrageous ankle boots that are plain black and matte. A necklace is around my neck that has the word, fire, inscribe on it. I have no wings, but I can still fly.
At the very moment I snap my fingers, I'm at the bottom of the place people were looking at earlier. The people above me will not see me since I'm invisible, though not invisible to the supernatural. Flying towards the ledge that the shimmery light-thing went under, I feel an immense power nearby.
“What is this energy I feel?” Finally, I see what I'm feeling. A fairy, mostly in black.
“Who are you? Fairy in black, answer me!” I call out. Her eyes meet mine. Worry and happiness are in those dark, frightened eyes.
~Anna Sophia~
My mouth opens, but no words come out. Her eyes, they're so determined and frightening. What should I do?
“Well? What are you waiting for?” Annoyance in her voice, she flies towards me, though, she's still about 2 yards away. I better not fly out into the clearing or people will see what I've become.
“I'm Anna. Who are you, might I ask?” I wanted to sound unafraid, but what could I do? I'm new to this stuff.
She flew closer to me and softened up a bit. “My name's Heidi. Don't worry Anna, I won't hurt you. I just get a little annoyed with slow responses.” Then, she smiled this genuine smile. How was I to trust her?
“Heidi, you know people will see you,” I inform her.
“No, not really. You see, I can hide myself from human eyes, but I can't hide myself from the beings of the supernatural. The way to hide yourself from the humans is forget about the humans and only worry about your surroundings excluding the humans. Do you get this?” She raised an eyebrow, awaiting my reply.
“Yes, I understand. And how do I know if I'm invisible?” I asked.
“You'll feel unnoticeable,” she replied.
I thought of only my surroundings and not about the humans. What was really surprising was that it was really easy. Once I felt the feeling of being unnoticed, I flew out into the open and no one saw me.
“Yes! I did it! Now what?” Heidi was nowhere to be found.
-Heidi-
“Roar!” I jump from behind Anna. She shrieks this ear splitting scream that throws me off balance.
“Geez! What was that for?” Anna sounded irritated.
“Sorry Anna. Just having a little fun.” As soon as I say this, a monster, or what I think is a monster, pops out of nowhere.
“Roar to you too ladies! Ha ha ha ha! You two will be my lunch for today!” The creature looks like, well, something horrible. It's all crystal-like with two dark green eyes. It doesn't look like a female or male, and the body is all clear, excluding the eyes. The body looks feminine, but the muscles look like those of a male. What could it be?
“You'll never eat us, you big lousy monster!” yelled Anna to the monster. The monster in reply, shot an arrow of crystal at her. My response to the crystal arrow, I ejected myself off the ground powerfully and pushed Anna out of the way. We both landed on the grounded with nothing but a few scrapes on our backs.
“Thanks, Heidi.” We got up and faced our opponent.
Our opponent chortled a little. “Ha! You won't be able to defeat me!” and this time, the monster vanished.
“Where could it have gone?” thought Anna out loud.
Then, out of nowhere, it appeared behind us and hit us so hard that we were launched at the rocks in front of us. The result from the impact of my body hitting the rocks so hard was that I got a dagger-like rock shoved up my right wrist. All this blood was pouring out and the affliction is too much to bear. A scream escapes my lips.
~Anna Sophia~
Oh, no! “Heidi! What's wrong!? Tell me!” I try to get up, but I can't. I crawl towards Heidi. Blood is every where. Oh, no. Oh, my goodness. What was I to do? My head is getting dizzy.
“Agh! This hurts! Get the rock out of me, Anna! Now!” demanded Heidi.
“But how? I don't know how without it hurting more.” Hyperventilating and panicking is not a good combination.
“Just do it! Work fast, now! I don't care if it hurts afterward, all I want is the rock out of my wrist. Agh!” Another scream came from her.
“Oh, no you don't!” and the creature started throwing these huge ice balls. One hit my left arm and it hurt so much. Pain kept on throbbing and I didn't want to move it.
'Remember, think with your head,' I thought. I imagined the ice balls going into a different direction. Only a few seconds until I heard the direction of the ice balls being diverted.
“Yes!” Now to fix her wrist. Carefully, I lifted her wrist with my left hand and examined it, though I wasn't careful enough because I could hear Heidi wince and groan at the pain. I just had to remove the rock and clean it off.
“Ha! You won't be able to escape. Your powers are weak against me!” and with that being said, the monster was headed right at us.
“Oh, no you won't! Not if I can help them!” something yelled out, and a roar soon followed. Soon as I looked around with curious eyes, I found what had spoken. It was a bobcat, light brown and utterly beautiful. It was sitting on a boulder twice as big as me. It's tail was bobbing slowly back and forth.
“You will certainly not hurt these innocent creatures, for I will stop your evil doing,” and faster than the speed of light, it pounced at the monster, but the monster made a swing at the bobcat. The bobcat was quick enough to dodge the monsters' counterattack.
“Hurry! Save your friend, Anna.” it called out to me.
“Right,” I murmured. I carefully lifted Heidi's wrist and started pulling it out slowly.
“Agh. Anna, do you think you could just pull it out fast? It's worse having to wait for it to be out of my body.” Heidi asked tiredly.
“Sure.” Hesitantly, I got a grip on the rock, and with all my force I pulled it out of her wrist. The fight against the bobcat and the monster was still on, and it seemed like the monster was winning. This is not good. If the monster wins, we're monster food for sure.
-Heidi-
The pain is unbearable! Oh, my freaking gosh! It hurts!
“Ah! Anna, it hurts!” I screamed at her.
“Isn't there anything I can do to help? What about taking the pain away with my thoughts? Would that work?” she replied, unsure.
“No, trust me. Ugh, I wish, but the problem with that is that the one who is trying to heal another actually gets the same pain. You just get the same pain without healing the other. Agh, get me some water and fast, but first help our new friend, and have him fetch me the water instead. He's faster, anyways.” Wow, even with the pain throbbing a whole lot more painfully, I can still say long responses.
“Okay,” and she turned towards the fight, “see ya, Heidi,” and with that, she jumped up high and rapidly onto the monster.
“Bobcat, I'll take over, but get some agua for my friend, Heidi, down there. Help her clean off the blood from her skin,” she commanded the bobcat, and off the bobcat went. I tried to turn my body around but the pain worsened in my wrist. All I could do for now was watch.
~Anna Sophia~
I didn't know I could move so fast. Swiftly, I moved around the monster, kicking, punching, and what not at it.
“Think with your head, Anna! Do it, or we're toast!” Heidi yelled from below. My head was forming an image of a sword, a fire-like sword. My eyes started seeing a glimpse of a bright red figure in front of me, I kept thinking of the sword I needed.
“Gr! You won't beat me!” and again, the monster started charging at me. I dodged behind it, and quicker this time, I imagined the sword visible and graspable. It appeared and was right at my right hand finger tips. Just as I was grabbing hold of the sword, the monster was right behind me.
“I've got you now!” the monster proclaimed.
“Nuh uh!” and I swung the sword to my right using both hands powerfully and sliced off the monsters left arm. Anger was in its eyes and the pain was getting to it.
“You cut my arm off!” it yelled at me like a little child. I smiled a devious smile of victory. The monster started flailing its arm at me and tried hitting me. I dodged its tedious attacks over and over again.
Once I was really tired of its useless attempts at capturing me for its dinner, I ran behind it lickety-split and stabbed it with the sword right at the center of its back. Instantaneously, the monster started melting because of the heat the sword was emitting. In a matter of seconds, the monster was gone, and so was the sword.
-Heidi-
Yes! She did it! Oh, here comes the bobcat, finally.
“I'm back Heidi, and with the water,” and he placed down a bucket of water right where my wrist was lying all this time.
“Thanks bobcat.” I replied, and I gave him a smile of thankfulness. Anna was running up to me, and it looked like she was tired. She has to be, from fighting the monster all by herself. I'm so proud of her.
“Heidi, I finished it off. Now let's get you fixed up,” and she got hold of my arms and helped me sit in a position where it didn't hurt.
I also injured a few bones, but with the advantage of healing a little quicker than normal human beings, I didn't have to worry about anything. Though, it's the pain that irritates me.
Anna ripped off a little bit of cloth off of her dress and used it to clean off the blood that stained my skin. She worked slowly so she wouldn't make it hurt more.
After a few minutes, she was finished and again, she ripped off a a little piece of cloth off her dress and tied it around my wrist that was injured. I got up and stretched a little, careful not to push myself and hurt myself even more.
“Ah, well, how about we go now. I feel better already!” I exclaimed. Anna nodded weakly and smiled a little, and then yawned after she smiled.
“I'll see you two someday again. Bye bye, Anna and Heidi” and off the bobcat went.
“Bye Mr. Bobcat!” declared Anna.
“Yes, bye Mr. Bobcat.” I murmured. “Well, let's go then, Anna.” And off we went home after a long and adventurous day.
