ABOUT ZEKE.

He is EZEKIEL SWEETING.
He is FORTY THREE.
He is BRITISH.
He is MALE.

He is the child of HELEN SWEETING and GENERAL WILLIAM SWEETING.
He married MADGALENE SWEETING nee GRAY, DECEASED.

He has HISTORY.
Ezekiel was born on a November day on a military base in the Andes Mountains. As a boy, he idolized his father, often pretending that he too was a soldier. He gave his mother fits by hiding in the rainforest at only five years of age, painting his face with mud and performing ‘recon missions’ with the birds. He learned to barter with the natives in fluent Spanish, how to treat poisonous snake bites, and how to recognize a jaguar’s presence by smell. Declared by his father as a ’good little soldier,’ he formed his own badges from rocks leaves.

Nine years after the birth of his son, General Sweeting was stationed in Britain, the family’s home country. Due to restrictions at the base, Helen and young Ezekiel were to live in the isolated village of Saltaire, approximately two hours from the general. Left in the sole care of a nervous and timid mother, Ezekiel grew up quickly, learning that above all else, he was to care for her. Money was never scarce, and the general kept his family well provided for. By the time war began brewing, General Sweeting had the secured to funds to enroll his son in the Military Academy of Ireland. Though he worried for his mother’s mental health were she to be left alone, the then fourteen year old Ezekiel placed his trust in his father, and left Saltaire for a military life.

At the Academy, Ezekiel excelled, achieving top rankings through sheer determination. He graduated at age seventeen and was deployed to Cuba, from where his battalion was to strike at the hostile nation of America. He remained actively in battle for over a decade, taking leave only when it was required. He took great pride in his work, and as he rose through the ranks, commanded his men with a fair but heavy hand.

Shortly after Ezekiel’s twenty third birthday, he received word that his father had been killed in battle. For a time, he returned to Britain to comfort his mother. During this time, he became acquainted with the daughter of the local baker, Magdalene Gray, and quickly fell in love with her. The two married, but their time together was not long. Ezekiel returned to the war, and she traveled to Ireland to stay with her brother. Seven years later, on the day that he was promoted to the rank of brigadier, a capitalist insurgency swept through the city of Dublin. Magdalene was killed, and was buried by her parents behind their bakery in Saltaire.

As the war came to an end and he himself returned home, he found that Mr. Gray had died of old age, and had left Ezekiel in possession of the town bakery. Having never baked in his life, he spent a period of time learning from Mrs. Gray, and was given the flat above the kitchen to live in.

The fortune he accumulated during the war is now hidden behind clock faces, sewn into his pillows, or buried under floorboards. He maintains said fortune by running a small gambling racket and loan sharking.

He has PERSONALITY.
Ezekiel is a laid back man. Having spent his life in the military, he is now ready for a life of relative peace and quiet. Though he loved his wife, he no longer mourns her, and has moved on with his life. He does not express emotions well, and though he is quite friendly, often comes off as gruff and coarse. He regrets nothing about being a soldier, and has opted to keep his scars as war trophies, as his father did before him. Through battle, he learned to be wary of capitalists, and has difficulty finding pity for them.

Oooh, I love the history, and your character seems sweet and interesting. I suppose what I'm curious about though is his occupation -or is he retired-? Is he a baker? What does he spend most of his time doing right now? (Though I see how he hides his wealth)- Is there anyone in his life right now -he seems pretty alone, its a shame he had no children, his wive seemed lovely-

Just little picky stuff like that, maybe expand on his personality a tad bit. Kinda like..Little stuff, like is he social or a recluse, how does he spend most of his time?

Otherwise I adore him! Wanna plaaay with him!
