Description -
Steampunk isn't just a fashion statement, it's a way of living. With the new year, let's explore something new. Instead of making you start running everything on steam, I'm going to hold a contest exploring the steampunk life style by their fashion. Fashion in the form of an avatar contest.

Create a steampunk Avatar for yourself!
It can be slightly more Victorian, or tweaked in some way to be able to use your own items, or buy new ones on a budget.
[This is an Avatar contest, not a tektek contest, meaning actually equip the items instead of entering a tektek of an avatar.]

Prize -
Winner will recive avi art of their entered avatar.
More prizes may be given depending on the number of entrants.

Contest Rules -
Create a steampunk avatar, not a tektek.
Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Voting will begin on Thursday, December 31, 2009 and a winner will be announced on Monday, January 4, 2010, with the close of the event.

ah, well, i looked at a bunch of pictures of what constitutes
as steampunk, and basically equipped items that were brown,
black, or tan, or that had intricate designs, like my hat.
goggles and fishnets also seemed common. i assembled this with spending
a small amount of 7,ooo gold, on the gloves and skirt.

well, i've basically got on the goggles and i'm pretty victorian-ish, as far as the hair goes and the dress barely makes it, i'd say.
The urn is kinda just cuz it matched, same for the eyes.
I really can't explain the shoes. they're just rad >.>;;

I tried to stick to a basic color scheme with some victorian-ish, western, ans mis-matched pieces.
Basically whatever I could find in my inventroy.
You can't really tell, but I have a frilly shirt equipped, and along with the more punk like bullet belt, that pretty much idealizes the style of steampunk.
And although you can't see it, I added a fancy black bow to the back of the jacket : D
