Between Land And Sea (Now Accepting)

Unknown to those on land, there is an entire world under the sea. In this world, creatures that we thought only existed in myth, live. These creatures are known as mermaids, or mermen. They live in the deepest parts of the ocean never breaking through the surface and the ruler of the merpeople is King Neptune, who rules the sea along with his queen, Serenity. They have four daughters, each one as beautiful as the next. These daughters have a special gift of their own for every night, they shed their fish tails and gain human legs and are able to walk on land each night until the sun starts to rise when they must return to the sea.

There is another kingdom, on land, yet near the sea as well. This kingdom is ruled by King Stephen who rules beside his queen, Ariana. They have four handsome sons who hold a love for adventure. They live with their mother and father in their beautiful kingdom of peace and beauty without a care in the world.

However, an event led the two families to meet under accidental circumstances. Now the two kingdoms are at war with each other. King Neptune wants to see King Stephen's kingdom sink to the very bottom of the sea and King Stephen wants to see King Neptune's kingdom destroyed, and the the merpeople captured. In the midst of all this, the four princes and the four princesses have agreed that this war will only bring pain and suffering to everyone. They plot to stop the war, but they have no way of knowing that the greatest war lies in their hearts.

From birth the doctors had said the Setanta would turn out to be a promising warrior. Since he was old enough to hold a sword, Setanta was trained and molded into that promising warrior. He learned how to use every weapon given to him which made his mother and father proud. However, Setanta was taught not to condone violence unless it was the only option left and thus did not agree with his parents decision to go to war. Setanta joined his brothers and the four princesses to help stop the war, even if that meant fighting.

Setanta is noble and honorable. He puts others before himself, especially his brothers. Though he doesn‘t condone violence he won‘t think twice when his brothers become threatened. Setanta is a very quiet person however. He remains distant though he is a nice person when someone can get a conversation out of him. In battle, Setanta is known to be vicious and relentless, like a guard dog protecting it‘s master. Thus the nickname, Hound.

Being the youngest of my brothers my mother treated me like I was her only child, and my father hardly notices me. I have a unique feature that set be apart from my brothers... Well most of the human race I should say. Both my eyes are two seperate colors. One is a bright green and the other is a purple color of sorts (Almost black). I see through them like any-one else would see through their eyes.. Well I think so at-least. It's not like I have ever seen through a normal person's eyes before. Any-ways this oddity usually keeps others away because they don't know if it's a sign of evil or not. The only people that don't treat me differently for it are my brothers, and my mother.

How-ever the pressure of being treated had gotten the best of me. At the age of ten I ran away from home. And I don't mean just down the street. I ran to a different country. I almost died trying to live on my own, but I was picked up by a tribe of monks. They took me in and taught me their arts. Which to my surprise they were warrior monks. So I learned their ways of war as-well. But they are pacifists. They do not attack unless provoked. At the age of sixteen I returned home with the monks way engraved into my heart. But before I left my Master and leader of the Warrior Monks gave me the emerald I now wear around my neck. It is to remind me of who I am, and the family I was not born into, but taken into.

Now I serve my father with the utmost loyalty even if his ideals conflict with mine, but now that this unholy war has begun I must do something to change my father's mind. But I cannot get him to listen to me.. According to him I am disowned, but my mother and my people still treat me like the prince I am, and my brothers are glad I am back.

I am extremely loyal to all those I can call family, and friend. They come before any-thing else. I am also a pacifist so I have not joined the war that is going on between my father's kingdom and the kingdom of the merfolk. But I am also the quiet one. I don't talk much. Every-one seems like a stranger still. Every-thing has changed since I left so long ago.

But when the world gets rough there is always one thing I can do to make my-self feel better. That is to stare at the moon in the sky as it is mesmerizing. I'm also a bit of a romantic when night rolls around my passionate side shines brightly through my eyes.

Shaerai was born the oldest of her three sisters. As the oldest, she is the heir to the throne, or heiress in this case for her mother was unable to produce a male heir to assume the throne. Shaerai lived a very peaceful life with her mother, father, and sisters keeping them togetehr as one unit. However, when the war between the two kingdoms began, she forced herself to turn her back against her father and joined her sisters and the four princes in hopes of ending this war that would cause much pain and suffering.

Shaerai is the sensible sister. She has a very calm demeanor and is usually the one to get her sisters out of situations as calmly as possible even if there is mayhem surrounding her. However, she is also a bit absentminded, especially when something catches her interest. When she gets like this, not even a Tsunami can tear her away. She does have a bit of a rebellious side. But she will not admit this. She says that the only reason she goes along with her sisters' antics is so they could remain safe.

Hisae was the second born child out of the four princess'. Being only one year younger than her oldest sister she tagged around Shay a lot learning the ways of the world through her teachings. While she was often compared to her sister she didn't mind so much.

As the years passed she found out that she was skilled in the art of combat. With deadly accuracy she was able to defend and fight, although the feel of flesh against her weapons did not comfort her. So when an alternative was offered for the war to end she took it along with her sisters hoping that the bloodshed would cease.

Hisae is one of the quieter sister's. She listens and watches with observant eyes in order to appease her curiosity of how the world works. Despite her quiet nature she loves to talk and play with her sisters, and there have been times where she was caught doing things she wasn't supposed to...but nobody got hurt...most times. It takes a lot to anger her, but little to annoy her, and thanks to her battles instead of going into a fiery rage she falls into an icy calm. There are times when she will drift and daydream, but they don't happen as often lately.
