So I am in Creative writing and we had to write sort of a found poem, except, using words and phrases from our short story that we wrote. For those of you who don't know what a found poem is: It's a poem that takes words, phrases, and such and rearranging them into a poem form. Sometimes you actually get some really neat stuff, ANYWAYS, I decided to post my found poem I wrote. I am unsure if the title I gave it suits it, but I am not too worried about that.
The Beginning and End
We’ll see ourselves
Toward the end of the corridor.
Where the faded olive green door-
The cold, solid, faded olive green door-
Collecting dust and dirt will greet us.
With no one in sight
The sun will beat down
On the dirt and field.
Your shoes scuffing through mounds of dirt,
No one in sight,
We’ll see ourselves,
At that lovely piano sitting in the corner.
Don’t be late,
To have the last word in.
They are just frozen,
And it’s only pitch black beyond here.
-If you all decide to make a found poem from your favorite lyrics, stories, or whatever it may be. Feel free to post em' here!
