Near the outskirts of Karakura town, deep in the forest area, commotion could be heard. The time of day was near 10:30PM, so the sun had long settled and the moon loomed down on the tall trees. The scattered lighting scrambled the shadow, leaving other areas partially lit while others were hidden in the darkness. Nothing more than stirring woodland creatures should have been there, but that was hardly the case. At the moment, there was only one visible being, hacking away at creatures that were entirely too small to be hit with a katana. The man appeared to be a shinigami, but a hollow at the same time. It was safe to assume that he was indeed a vizard, but much more gruesome looking.

Only a fool would approach...

As this man made his way deeper into the forest, on unsteady legs, another man watched from atop a stiff branch. In a crouched position, he observed the vizard-like man, narrowing his eyes as the being walked underneath the branch. Without hesitation, he fell from the branch, heading toward the ground headfirst. By the time he was close to the surface, his legs tucked in toward his chest. From there, he gripped the tops of his knees and proceeded to flip forward.

Thud

He landed on both feet, standing upright...

He was now face to face with the hollowfied shinigami, nothing more than about 8 feet away.

Yuji stood firm, immediately confirming his assumption. This shinigami was indeed being devoured by an inner hollow, a strong one. He watched as the man went through his motions, pretty much a brick wall of unmovable nerve. He had no intention on attacking, but he would do all he had in order to remain unscathed by this monstrous presence. It wasn't like he had walked into the situation with no prior knowledge, so at this point, it was just a matter of making his move. When the monstrosity continued to approach, Yuji's lips curved into a faint smirk. It wasn't that he was being cocky, it was just the fact that he knew what needed to be done. Not only did he know this, but he also had the capability to sooth and guide Fefnir into peace. Yuji had every intention on using this to his advantage.

"I see, you're having a tough time battling this hollow, are you?", said Yuji, ignoring the words of the demon that rested within Fefnir's. Again he proceeded to speak directly to the one being consumed, as if there was no third party involved.

"You have the power, boy. You are fully capable of defeating your inner demons. Hear me...", said Yuji. Unexpectedly, out of the corner of his eye, Yuji caught whim of the sword slash before Fefnir was ready to follow through with the attack. Out of instinct, with his lightning fast reflexes, Yuji went for the hilt of his own katana. With his right hand, he reached over toward his right hip, gripping the hilt of his prized Katsuki Urichi. The initial unsheathing of the sword brought forth a gust of fierce wind, whipping the plants and leaves on the trees into a natural frenzy. He yanked the blade over to the right side of his body, tossing it over to his left hand. With excessive force, he thrust Katsuki up toward Fernir's blade. In succession, Katsuki made contact with Fefnir's zanpakutou.

Seemingly undisturbed by the colossal effects of the two swords making contact, Yuji waited as the sparks and wild spirit energy made their roundabouts. In fact, the force from the swords connecting drove Yuji's feet into a crater. Apparently, the ground gave way before Yuji did. So there he stood, in a mild indentation while holding up his defense. His eyes narrowed when the commotion ceased. "Fefnir, wake up. I can help you! Take control... I can't help you unless you try to help yourself."
