Yes you read it write. Our Church going former guitarist Brian-formally known as "Head"-Welch sang Korn's song 'Blind'.

I don't know about any of you, but I'm PISSED. And that's putting it mildly.
Did he not say that he didn't want to be part of the band? That the bands message was "Negative"? Then why in the ******** is he singing a Korn song?
Seems a bit hypocritical hm?
I'm not sure if my anger is misplaced. Maybe I'm looking at the the wrong way? Maybe I don't have all the facts? Maybe I'm just being a b***h?
I don't know, but what I do know is that I'm very very very angry.
What does everyone else think about this? Am I right to be angry? I honestly don't know, that's why I need someones opinion on this issue. Thank you.

Here is the link to this HORRID slandering of our beloved Korn song Blind:

Yeah, it pissed me off when I saw it too. He's been doing it for a while and there was a point where I was 100% convinced that Head was trying to appeal to the ignorant "old school KoRn fans" (sorry, but I really do hate people who say they love old school KoRn and hate new KoRn - I don't see those kind of people as fans. I also got a shitty comment on one of my YouTube videos this morning about JD singing Got Money. They said real KoRn fans and real music lovers would hate anything done by Lil Wayne, as if implying I wasn't a real music lover or fan. What an idiot. I downrated and marked his comment as Spam. ******** jackass. ANYWAYS, BACK ON TOPIC---) ....let's see, where was I? Oh, yes - ignorant "old school KoRn fans". In fact, there was a point he persisted in tapping into that particular fan base and ended up dominating KoRnSpace and everybody kept sucking his Holy d**k on every word he had to say and they were all turning on JD. It was absolute brainwashed s**t and that's why I try to insist that members here in Children of the KoRn get all of their facts from either KoRn Central or KoRn Underground. :/

Enjoy this old thread about Head and all of his sheep.

Wasn't this apart of the reason why he left KoRn in the first place? It's relation to the use of Drugs and Alcohol? It's upsetting and anger's me as well. If he wanted to get away from it all why do something like this? If he's willing to embrace a KoRn classic...then why can't he go back to the band?

Zee, I COMPLETELY agree! I love old korn and new korn! I grew up with old korn, and I evolved with the new korn, so I have a deep love form them both! biggrin
I hate it when people say they love old korn then say they hate new korn, It's so hypocritical and stupid. It get's under my skin and makes me wanna strangle 'em!
But anyway-Back to the point, Brian is such a dumb ********. What little respect I had left for him disappeared when I saw that video.

To the Goddess I give my heart

o.O All I have to say is he will never sound like Jonathan Davis and his voice is what got me hooked on KoRn I don't know why but his voice always makes me feel better....I think that is why I loved Queen of the Damned so much but the soundtrack came out and it was depressing cause they had other people singing the songs he sang in the move -__-.....I love all of KoRn's music even the new stuff....KoRn is actually the only thing that kept me sane through quite a few hard times in my life(and even still now I don't know what I would do without their music...).....he left the band because he didn't like the message it sent but now he is singing a song and he added the little crappy amazing grace line at the end.....which was awful for me since I'm not christian....o.O I mean seriously.....ugh....I don't know what to think....

Wellthat video was odd to me and all but I love old KoRn and new KoRn as well. But the things about new korn that really pissed me off was love & luxary because Jonathan talks crap about Head and Head is the one who made the creepy sounds and awesome and raw guitar. To me that wasnt neccisary. I mainly listen to the older music cause its heavier and so yea. HEAD COME BACK!

There are so many ways...

Controversy with former band members

In September 2009, Korn guitarist Munky, in an interview with Altitude TV, alleged that the band had denied a request by Welch to rejoin the outfit. In the interview, Munky claimed:

"Brian ('Head' Welch) actually contacted us recently and wanted to come back to the band. And it was not the right time... for us. We're doing well, and it's kind of like... It's kind of like if you divorced your wife and she went on and she stayed successful and her career flourished, and you go back and [say], 'My gosh, she's still hot.' 'Baby, can we get back together?' 'Wait a minute... All the stuff's been divided, and it's like...' I don't see it happening right now. It's not gonna happen right now."

Shortly after, Welch responded to the statement via his Myspace, denying the claims:

"I recently learned of an interview that Munky gave where he said that I came to Korn and asked to be taken back in the band. That's definitely not a complete and accurate picture. The full truth is that for about a year, ever since Jonathan publicly said he wanted me back in Korn, Korn's managers have been requesting my manager to work on getting me back into Korn. The calls were initiated by Korn's managers, not my manager. I shut the door on their requests many, many times over the last several months, through my manager. However, Fieldy personally called me during Korn's last tour in Europe and we talked as friends for a long time. He also told me if I ever wanted to rejoin Korn, or open for Korn as a solo artist, the door was always open. Since Fieldy is sober now and a christian like me, I thought it may be a good idea to visit with Fieldy, a friend of mine, to see what he was up to and what it was all about. I had a great time re-connecting with Fieldy. I mainly went to his house to connect with an old friend. The Korn stuff we talked about was secondary, but It was discussed. Fieldy thought that Jonathan, Munky, and I should all meet AS FRIENDS; re-connect; and maybe discuss the possibilities. Both Jonathan and Munky refused that meeting. I learned a lot visiting with Fieldy. I learned that I love and miss my friends, but the visit confirmed to me that I have a different calling in life than to reconnect musically/professionally. As far as Munky's comment that "everything has been divided already" that is also not accurate. In fact, from January 2005 when I left, and for the next 4 years, Korn failed to pay to me royalties that were due me on records that I did with them. However, I don't believe this was done intentionally. We are trying to be patient and work with their management to get the financial issues resolved so that "everything can be divided as we agreed long ago in our contracts." I am optimistic that we can resolve it as friends. I continue to wish nothing but the best for Korn, and that includes all of my friends there--Fieldy, Jonathan and Munky."

Weeks later, in reference to Korn's early albums, Jonathan stated in an interview with pulseoftheradio that:

"Davis said that the essence of Korn is intact. "I'll lay it down to you right now: all the writing was done by Fieldy and Munky," he said. Head [ex-guitarist brian welch] wasn't really there for any of it, because he was so jacked up on drugs and worrying about other things. So the core of Korn is there. Davis also mentioned David saying; "David [silveria, ex-drummer] was there to write beats, but he wasn't really there. And adding Ray [luzier] as the drummer — he loves playing drums and he plays just like David did. We're excited that we found someone that fits that mold. So I think we got the three that's the core of what Korn is."

a heart can break...

DarkRose, I'd like to thank you for posting this.
It has given me a new insight on what is going on.

But it still doesn't change the fact that I've lost respect for Head.
I'm sorry,
But once you've lost my respect it's damn near impossible to get it back.
I'm just not a forgiving person.
