Yeah. I woke up the other day when my brother who just got back from japan (air force) tells me that grandma is in the hospital and that we'll be visiting her that day. I go back to sleep, an hour later, jon comes back to my room telling me I need to bring go to the vet cause there is a lot of blood in his poop. I go to leave, dad tells me he'll drop me off cause he's on his way to the doctor anyway. The vet gives me some medicine and tells me to wait a few hours and google should have been ok, I leave google home alone with dad thinking dad would watch him. I go to visit grandma, and we believe her memory is going cause she couldnt remember why she was there (she was there for a p***y scratch that was eating her from the inside out, she thought she was there cause she couldnt walk well) and she thought she was there for 3 days already, it had only been 11 hours. When mom saw her later, grandma didn't even remember me being there. Turns out dads medicine is practically Vicodin so he was totally passed out while I was gone. We come home (jon was with me while I was out) my kitchen floor is covered in blood. Turns out google couldn't hold it in and wound up having bloody accidents all around the house. I start crying, I'm completely confused not knowing what to do besides getting google to the hospital. I tried to wake up dad but his medicine left him so dazed and confused, he didn't really even know where he was. Mom comes home and takes google to the hospital. He was there for the night and then in the morning the whole family was told we might wind up having to put him down. I cried all day. Just as we were about to get ready to pick up my sister from the air port (who was in south carolina for the marines) and put google to sleep, the vet called and told us to bring him to the 24 hour animal hospital a few miles away. Now they're pretty sure google can live through this. We saw him today. I added a pic at the bottom of him and mommy. They still aren't sure whats wrong, but he's doing so much better. Then we went to see grandma again, You wouldn't believe all the times she forgot I was there or all the times she couldnt remember what was wrong with her. It was heart breaking. She cant walk or stand very well, so we had to get the doctors to put her back in her bed when we showed up. She had been sitting on a chair eating lunch. She needs to get surgery really badly. And we dont think either of them will be home for christmas. Pray for a miracle.

You're in my thoughts, Justine. I know exactly what you're going through (unfortunately). Your poor doggie, I really hope he gets better. I really, really do. No need for both of us to loose beloved pets this year. ;-; I'm sorry about your Grandma, too. I know EXACTLY how that is. That's how my grandma got before they diagnosed her with dementia, I really hope that's not the case for you guys though.
It may get pretty rough from here, but keep us updated. Okay? I'm praying for a Christmas miracle for you. <3333

The specialist was slowed down because of the blizzard we had last night, but the vet said we might be able to being Google home tomorrow. She believe's he has whats called a Liver Shunt They could operate, but the survival rate is too risky, so they are just going to give us a lot of medicine and google will have to be on a very strict diet. And grandma is doing better, I haven't been visiting EVERY DAY like mom wants me too mainly because for whatever reason, I get dizzy and nauseous in hospitals. She seems to think that no one knows Jon is home because no one had mentioned him in conversation, so she sent all my cousins and aunts and uncles over to see him today. @ Mezo - I'm sorry about your kitty. Did you bury her? @ Clancy - I'm afraid to completely stop visiting her. She'd blow up my phone bill D:

His sore throat turned into an ear infection, and even though they gave him medicine for it, they gave him that cough medicine to help with the pain. I figured that out this morning when I woke up. I have the same sore throat now. And my ears are already hurting me. Mom's afraid my ear drums will blow out again. Last time that happened I was damn near deaf for 3 months. I still have hearing loss. Man this month just gets worse and worse.

That's terrible. ////3 Those people never had pets, I take it.
And yes, we buried her. But then my dad started stomping on her grave... it was just a bad night...

why would you dad stomp on her grave!? Thats awful D:<
Google is coming home today. They say they can't do anything for him besides give him medicine. He's stopped pooping blood, but really he could die any day now.

He's the one that caused her to die... he shot her, the vet couldn't do anything and we had to put her down. Then we brought her back to bury her and he flipped out. ;-;
Awwww, your poor Google. //3 I really hope he'll start getting better. <333

Since my life is just SO IMPORTANT (lol@sarcasm)
****Update time*****
Basically, both my grandma and my dog made it through christmas and they are doing a lot better. But we were told neither will probably see next christmas. I get to spend the next few months watching Google slowly waste away, but thankfully he's not in pain now that he's done pooping blood. I'm not completely informed on whats wrong with him because I dont understand most things doctors say, but I know his body isn't processing protien like it should, so he's on a strict diet that doesn't really give him what he needs to live a long full life. but its the only thing he can have without him having another episode.
Grandma got her surgery, but she was diagnosed with some heart problem and she's not getting enough oxygen. They put her in a home to get better, but they dont think she'll be better in time to live on her own again. Not because of the surgery, she's just falling apart in so many ways.
And to top it off I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to get blood work done. My doctor thinks my thyroid is ******** up. And while I'm there she's going to check me for things like diabetes. She said she doesn't think I have it, but its good to check anyway cause of the family history and stuff, and with my getting constant headaches, she said it couldn't hurt to check. AND she wants me to tell her about my more recent panic attacks, have they gotten better or worse, how many I have in such and such time on average, and then she'll decide if I need meds for that too. FML
But on the bright side, I got my driving permit and my ear pierced. Oh yeah, 2010 is gonna be a BLAST rolleyes

Homes screw up elderly people really quick. Seriously, my grandma was pretty much fine until she fell and we had to put her in a home for a bit. She never got out... She was only there for a few days. ;-;
Uggh, hate doctors though. They either talk out their a** or if they are right it's only bad things. @_@
