2. Did not invent glitter.
3. Does not bring the rain.
4. Did not invent music.
5. Is not the supreme ruler of Mars.
6. only played the Goblin King. He's not a real life king of the goblins.
7. Nor is he an actual alien.
8. does not bring the snow.
9. is not a real duke. (Even if he does kind of look like the Duke of Windsor.)
10. Did not actually discover life on Mars.

Well.. Um,
Angela Bowie would differ on number 7.
And he didn't invent glitter, but by god he invented glam.

Also, the point of this thread is to bring up what you wish or just about believe is true about David Bowie, while disclaiming that they are actually real facts. And darn straight, he did.

Also, the point of this thread is to bring up what you wish or just about believe is true about David Bowie, while disclaiming that they are actually real facts. And darn straight, he did. Angie thinks he's an alien. And apparently good at exorcisms. I, like Neil Gaiman, believe that David Bowie is the fallen angel Lucifer. I also believe that there's about a 85 percent chance that he's put it in Mick Jagger.

David Bowie did not invent glam rock. Marc Bolan did with his band T.Rex. When Marc went out on stage with glitter dabbed under his eyes on his cheeks, that's when glam came to be. Bowie came a bit afterward and furthered the glam rock movement. Bowie certainly invented what a theatrical stage performance was though.
Just thought I'd say.
