Welcome to the shred sub-forum!
This is a place specifically for those of you who have an interest in playing cleanly at high speeds and wish to share techniques and information or even trivia about their favorite shred guitar players.
I'm Dustin AKA Labyrinth Shredder, the owner of this guild and resident shred guitarist. Ask me a question about shredding technique or theory and I will try to reply in a timely fashion. Please consider your question carefully so I can answer in a way that will actually help you. I'm not here to convince you I'm the king of guitar playing, so I will attempt to keep my answers absent of any judgement, arrogance or conceit. I have been around some of the greatest guitarists in the business (oh the glory that is the shred scene in Los Agneles) and have been playing for many years, so I am hoping to share some of my ideas and experiences relating to guitar. Not really in need of advice, I'm going to school for guitar. I was wondering what you are mainly into, and if your musical taste has changed over time. I know I was huge into the shred scene, but I grew out of it, due to the lack of song structure. I do think it is great to have the ability to shred, but for me it lacks emotion.
