*~ The Story ~*
Luke(wolf Hubon) and Tala (Anibon) leave the forest becuase they were curious, and also because they were lonely. They end up being stalked by Kale(Who's NOT a vampire) who works for Gray, someone who's trying to track down and study Anibons and Hubons.

*~ The Races ~*
Anibons are people who are born bonded to an animal. This bond is formed by being born at the same moment, and is an actual sharing of their souls. This is reenforced by a blood transfer. A cut it sliced on teh wrist of both, and the wrists are pressed together. This ritual is preformed by the mother of the Anibon.
The animal bonded to an Anibon is known as a Hubon. The Hubon and Anibon are raised together by their mothers, and at age 5 they are set off from their parents to live and survive on their own. They protect each other.
The anibon and Hubon share abilities. A Hubon can speak in the languages native to the Anibon, and the visa versa. An Anibon can have natural heightened senses or abilites from the Hubon, such as hearing or smell with wolves, or climbing with monkeys. Those bonded to birds can even fly for a short amount of time.
The Hubon and Anibon travel completely alone- except for with each other. It is very rare for them to leave the forest they were left in, and if they do, it's even rarer for them to interact with others. It's completely unheard of for a Hubon or Anibon to mate with or marry someone non-bonded.

Tala sighed, and glanced down at Luke. Then she smiled. "We're actually leaving, huh? No backing out now." She shifted her pack, holding every item she in her possesion, higher up on her back, and stared at that last step. The last step, the one that woud cross over from the forest to the meadow. The trees weren't very thick where they were, barely still a forest, but it marked the edge of where they had ever gone before. Tala glanced up, staring at the path. It took a lot of courage, but she started walking. Tala's earrings- a gift from a mother she hadn't seen in years, swung lightly from her earlobes. Across her right wrist was a slashing scar, left from the bloodbond. They cut to purposely scar, to provide an everlasting bond. She wore a covering over it now. Not because she was ashamed of what she was, but to keep others from noticing it and singling her out.
Gray sighed, and rubbed his temples. His home, such a little thing, though he could have better, sat in completel order around him. His 'worker' would be out traveling, searching for a raec many didn't believe existed. And how was he to know if it really did? And if his worker found them, how would he know? "Goddamnit. So many complications to something that should be so simple."

Golen eyes peered out of the darkened forest as Luke stood right at Tala's side. He was weary of leaving the home they'd both known for this long and he looked up at her and nodded slightly to her words. He could talk, just didn't choose to at the moment.
Their connection made it easy for him to be able to talk and speak with her as if he was another human being and it made it so much easier to warn of where and what kind of danger was coming towards them. Kale had been wondering around the forest for about a week and had finally caught onto the trail of a young woman and wolf. His intense eyes peered silently across the meadow, waiting for a sign of them, he'd been predicting their passing for a few days now.

Tala glanced down at Luke, and smiled softly. She paused a moment to bend down and lightly kiss the top of his forehead. "Thank you. I know we're mainly doing this because of me. " She stood up, slipping back into her strong demeanor, and took a few steps forward. She had an itching sense of being watched, and she didn't often ignore her instincts, but she did now. After all, it didn't matter who was watching. She walked down the path, squinting a bit at how bright the sun was when there wasn't any leaves for it to filter through. Her boots made soft clicking sounds as she walked on the padded down dirt that was the path. She knew there was a town to days travel away from here. After all, she'd spoken with travelers in the forest, and taken maps from the dead bodies of those who pissed off mother nature or the animals. Taht's also how she had two bags of money sitting on her belt, a water skin, and a good deal of the stuff in the pack. The dagger clicking against her thigh and the crossbow- her main weapon - resting on her back, next to the pack, were and always had been hers though. Given by her mother. That myserious woman who's face's details had long since faded from her mind. She was just a shadowy figure with outspread arms and a crying face, now.
((. . . . I really type a lot when hyper, huh?))

Luke's ears laid back and he gave a content murr feeling Tala's lips on his forehead. His tail wagged slightly feeling the sensation. He re-opened his eyes when she stood back up and he nodded to her.
'Never a problem.'
He said to her and he padded quietly besides her. His ears perked up so he could hear all that was around them, wanting to make sure they were safe and nothing was coming for her.

Tala blinked a bit, her own ears and nose searching. Of course, that wasn't obvious, like it would be with Luke. She'd had a prickling sensation of being followed, but no evidence to back it up. so she merely ignored it and kept going.
And now they were on a path where they would be visible to nearly anyone who wished to see them. Maybe that would calm her down.

Luke stood still a moment, searching the surroundings, he had the feeling of being followed and he didn't like it. He padded right besides Tala, enjoying being there with her, as he always did, he was just a bit more alert than he normally was.

((Aw come on, nothing from Kale? xd I don' really have anything to do. .. *BS's it. *))
Tala kept walking, amazed at the odd sensation of being able to see all the way out. Of there being only a few trees. She remembered the many years that had passed since she and Luke had been left alone in the forest at age 5. Alone beyond each other. Tala glanced behind her, her skin still crawling. Unable to help it, she shifted her crossbow to rest in the front, where she could easily grab it. "Luke, you feel it too?"

Luke nodded to her and gazed around silently, his ears perked up as he listened.
Kale's deep blue eyes watched them silently, he knew well that the wolf knew he was there, though he wasn't sure that the girl really knew for certain though. He kept hidden for a bit and gazed at them silently.

Tala walked. That summed up the rest of her day. Only thig to be added to that would be 'Tala walked next to Luke'. They walked on the whole day. Tala eventually stopped, and went off the path, down a hill, and started to set up camp. Camp was a small fire, a blanket, and her pack working as a pillow. She pulled out some dried rabbit meat for her and Luke to eat, they'd eaten it for lunch as well. She kept an eye out for others, that prickling sense still there. There was someone watching them. And they'd only watch for so long. When they stopped watching and started approuching, Tala wanted to be ready.

Kale gazed and followed Tala and Luke all day. He slowed down when they were eating and he slipped out of the tree he'd been watching the two from and slammed to the ground and groaned, rolling onto his side, groaning as he held his side, attempting to be quiet and hope he was unheard.

Tala jumped to her feet, her blanket falling on the ground. She pulled out her crossbow, holding it close to herself. She moved over, and aimed it at him. She just stared at him a moment, silent, then muttered. "Knew we were being watched. " she spoke up. "Why're you watching us?"

Luke was right at Tala's side and growled low at the man on the ground.
Kale fought to catch his breath, "Why are you wondering around alone?" He asked, rather than answering her question.
