We call it a battle system... but what it really is, is a way to determine who wins a challenge. Example: Hel wants to smack Yiska, but Yiska wants to dodge (probably anyway... lol).
What happens is when Hel goes to smack him she does her post as normal when it comes to formating and typing but... somewhere it changes. Dundundun...
We are adding a dice roll for anything that the person might resist or want to resist... Such as using powers on others or trying to attack other players in character physically, mentally or socially... however your power works.
So here is how we do this. The change is rolling a 20 Sided Die when you make your post.
1-4 Utter Failure/Total Suckage
5-9 Glancing Blow/Barely Hits
10-14 Decent Success
15-18 Great Success/Near Perfect
19-20 Critical Success/Perfect
I know... D20 is all D&D... but we aren't worrying about stats here. Just worrying about levels of success. An example will be posted.
