well, I for sure do not in flick pain upon myself. I believe that solves nothing.
None of my friends really have noticed before until this year, but I guess with in all of my friends when drama and stuff takes place I am always calm. Sides are always said to be picked but I am always excluded. I do not try but drama is juts to stupid.
If I can help it, I try to not have anything negative in my life. I too have the whole friends, family, school and everything else problems.
For me thinking of all the positive things, even if they are all small, and concentrating on them helps. I suggest try talking to one of your closest friends or writing about it. I use to have problems with my bf then I started to just write them down only for me to read it made me feel much better.
The guild is one of my most favorite things in my life. Its like a second life style to run away to (like dreaming) Even tho I am not great at writing, It is one of the main reasons for me starting this guild. I wanted a place to post.
Um . . . IDK what else to say I already felt like a have been rambling for way to long

I try "drowning" myself w/music blaring through my headphones. Let the music take me away from reality for a time. Same thing with role playing. I love it when I can role play especially with my brother Drath. For a time I can ignore the real world and be in my own lil fantasy world.

Taking yoga, kick boxing, self defense, karate things like that help out. Plus it will help to focus your mind more. I took self defense class when I was in middle school. I got 2 be more focused and was doing better in school. Probably should have taken it during High School. Might have been a better student but *shrugs* oh well.

I normally go and play guitar for a while. Or drown in music. I like to go on myspace or any chat type thing, and rant to my friends.

I usually end up grabbing a book. And if that doesn't help, I grab my favorite pen and a pad and start writing things down... Poems, ideas or books, and sometimes ever what's bothering me. And if I write down what's bothering me, I put it in a folder and when it's filled, I go through and read them and then go burn it all.

Working out until exhaustion. Swimming until exhaustion.
The more energy you exert, the better it feels. And then, the endorphins kick in and you get addicted to something that's actually healthy.
And when/where accessible, sex, sailing and single-malt. No drugs and rock n' roll for me.

Talk to people who actually listen and write down you're thoughts. Every once and a while, letting your emotions pour out while you're alone can help. Crying'll make you feel much better. And screaming does too. Don't tell things to people who say things about you behind your back, they'll just gossip about you later. DONT TELL YOUR FAMILY! It never really helps, parents always try to blame it on you. And siblings only change the subject or tell your parents. This is just what I've learned, none are actual facts.

I never really get stressed. I just find it hard to let anything bother me.
I have a friend who gets seriously bad stress just cos she works too hard: stress headaches & illnesses, she had a huge migraine which lasted for several days and she kept coughing up blood.
And I have another friend who has been diagnosed as clinically depressed: cuts herself, suicidal tendencies. She's seeing a counsellor and just started on antidepressants and, they aren't working yet, but I'm hoping they will.
So what I'm trying to say is that we all have different types of stress and ways to deal with them. See a therapist or take up smoking or something. And exercise, exercise, exercise! And if the self-harming helps... then don't be in a rush to stop and thus let yourself get more stressed.
