Okay, so, My boy friend and I went to this "Christmas Village" thing near city hall the other day. We picked up some nifty wood-carved things. I got two different mask/faces, and one little guy that you hang on your door. He looks a little like a goblin with no lower jaw and his tongue hanging out and he's kinda like a wooden bell.

Also, my boy friend bought me a wooden 'smoker' that you put your incense in. It looks like an owl. It's pretty awesome. I'm pretty exited about it because everything (except the smoker) was really inexpensive buy they look amazing!

There is a stall of wooden carved items in our town centre too, and I keep meaning to look at what they have (there is also a fudge stall, yum!). But it is right next to where TalkTalk the mobile phone company pitch, and they prey on people there like hawks. It's awful.

Owls are really big this year. =)
But they're cute anyway, with their big bulbous eyes, and their fat little bodies.

Off topic, and I know he isn't even an owl, but who also thinks Professor Yaffle is one of the most awesome children's characters ever?

OMG! That is very adorable. smile What is he from?

My owl smoker looks like an egg with feet.

I think I'll take a picture of them at some point and share them. I'm not sure where I tucked my camera or it's cable, though. So, maybe, like, next week I'll take a pic of them.

Professor Yaffle is from an old British children's TV show called Bagpuss. I used to watch it when I was little, and so did my mum.

That's kinda cute, actually. Bagpuss makes me think of a bag full of pus and not a cat at first glance. heh Sounds cute though.

I hate that show! Seriously! Poorly animated ugly puppets talking and going to the moon and stuff and coming to life when the lights went off?! My mum used to keep here puppets in my room when I was young and I was terrified that they would come to life when the lights went out and then they would hurt me.

Man, british parentish sucks something fierce...

I dont know, their equaly as terrifiying when your small and dont understand where the world goes when the curtains are closed!

I mean, seriously. Child shows back then were insane. There was one for a while that was just... Well I dont remember but it was pretty bad, that much I know. =|

As far as I am aware, the Clangers were more felt. o.O
They weren't that insane if you look at children's shows nowadays.
