Strengths: She is very spirtual. She has great reflexs and is very fast. She also has great swordman skills.
Weaknesses: She a sucker for love and she is deeply depressed. Her feelings get hurt very easily.Sometimes the shadows get to powerful that she can't control them.

History: She was born on October 31 at exactly 3 a.m. on the fall solstice. She was born of a Seer mother and a demon father. It was against the rules for something so pure to marry something so evil.That the spirts punish her mother by putting a curse on Amaya. She is curse with the burden of watching and caring for the shadows. Besides being curse, Amaya has also fallen in love in her past years of her life. But her happiness was ended when her true love Washi, was murdered. Amaya has sworn revenged on his killer. She also picked up the job of assinations she uses the shadows to kill. She is also being watched by Kaji who wants her for his own evil purposes.

Appearance: She has golden brown skin and beautiful garnet eyes. She has long flowing black hair that when the moonlight shines on it glitters.

Personality: She speaks her mind and is very spunky. But deep inside she is always crying.

"I'll go through first."
Kai stepped through the hole in reality, traveling thousands of miles with his one step.
When the government had told him that he had been selected as one of the few protectors to the Government Representative, he had been thrilled. Not many were so graciously endowed such honor...
Kai looked around. On the traveling side of the travel portal, one could not see clearly the other side.
It was too dark here...
Kai began to turn around and opened his mouth to tell his comrades that something was wrong with the portal, when one of the shadows jumped up at him.
Kai slashed at it wildly, but his common steel blade went through the shadow with no effect.
"Get him back! Back through the portal, now!"
Kai closed his eyes, squinting so as to crush his eyes.
Black and white images jumped before his eyes, and Toma quickly danced through the steps of focusing and unfocusing.
Finally, he was able to focus a white flame image into his head.
Fire leap onto his sword. He sought out the small shadow-creature.
It had just killed a guard.
Kai pointed his hand outwards, aimed, and shot a small stream of blue-fire at the abomination.
It turned around, and charged twoards him. It had felt that.
Kai slashed, and the shadow split in halve to the intense light the fire offered in this dark little world.
More shadows were coming, though. He could see some things moving in the distance.
Then again, it was hard to judge distance in the dark. They could be right on him for all he knew.
"Get him back! Ba--"
The portal closed, leaving only Kai's sword as a source of light.

"So I better start you off with something easy." He smiled and stretched out his hand. As he did that he muttered something and a dark floe of energy came out of his palm. Slowly in shaped into a sphere and became clear. It seemed to be showing him life outside the castle. "Hmmm..seems we have an intruder. Why don't you take care of him so I can see how well you fight." With that he snapped his fingers and in a blink of an eye Amaya was teleported outside the castle walls to the place the intruder had come through.

His sword had failed him three hours earlier.
It had been two since he had strayed from the main congregation of... of survivors.
Kai wouldn't admit it to himself, but he was scared.
He had the best nightvision the government had seen in a while, but it everything still seemed impossible to him. It was as if the darkness wasn't merely resting upon the planet. It was as if it was... attacking reality.
"Who are you?" The voice seemed to come from all directions.
Kai crouched down.
Yet...
The voice sounded defensely, girly, weak and unimposing...
"I could ask you the same."

Kai could feel the shadows around him. Circling him...
He might be able to light up the sword again...
Maybe.
"Amaya. That's a nice name."
Had to buy time.
You didn't have someone walk casually up to you and ask your name in a world like this. Not genuinly. She didn't really care why he was here...
She was going to capture him... torture him... transform him... kill him... or try some other sinister means to ruin his existence.
"Amaya... I believe that that means night rain?"
Maybe in a place like this it simply meant rain.
"My name is Kai."
No point lying. Words wouldn't save him.
The shadows were swarming. Kai was sure that Amaya was the only thing holding them back...
"Truth told... I don't know why I'm here. Bit lost..."
That explaination may have been the truth, but it wasn't enough. He knew that the shadows would leap at any moment...

Kai stood still.
The girl seemed unstable...
He might be getting out of here alive.
Kai slowly stood up. He knew that he looked relaxed, but in truth he was ready to cut limbs off anythign that came near him.
"You okay?" Kai dared edging closer to the strange Amaya.
