kinetic-cataclysm Yeah, I think the only reason I'm even on the first page is because I was one of the first few to join. Hmm, we'll have to remember to mention it to His Highness when he next pops up. So technically I guess you could call it inactivity, Lazy Sundays, but I think he just doesn't have as much time as he likes to check up on us. Yeah, this is death phantasm's last day to respond, Sarge. After that, we get to decide on whether to start a new official guild, or to wait a bit longer until His Highness' or death phantasm's next appearance. Silly, I suppose, but whatever. talkingpenguinpants Well Im glad we have an Active Clan Now If you think about it we elves have a better tendancy to think things through than our human friends. We talked about making a newer clan openly, measured the good and bad. Waited for an extended time then took matters into our own hands taking a chance that the King will see our good intentions. We were civil about the whole thing and still took the King's consideration. If we were human we would have done it right away and claimed we didn't care what the King thought. I love being an Dark Elf whee kinetic-cataclysm Good Point, I think we were quite good about this whole thing. Diet Cyanide I want to join that is if you would let me? I am not really good at RPing but I supp-ose I could give it a try. As for what group I can not really decide so put me where I would be needed the most that is if I am accepted. kinetic-cataclysm Of course! We're not discriminatory here; anyone who is a dark elf can come right on in. You can just be a citizen if you can't make up your mind. Rp-ing is entirely optional. Most of us don't, but if you wnat to, go right ahead! As an example, Rose is quite eloquent and adept at rping and getting her point across nicely. Diet Cyanide Yeah I know RPing is about telling a story but that is my weak point. I am horrible at telling a story but I suppose I will improve over time. I am just going to start off really badly at that aspect of RPing. Anyway cool then I will start off as a citizen and see where it goes from there. I am actaully excited about RPinf for the first time whee Just realised a mistake that I never spotted from my prevoius post. Even if they do not take it they way most people do if someone is being an arse. It would give people a bad impression of me. Anyway I get it with the RP. Lazy Sundays caught up in the tune, she sudenly snaps out of it, startled from penguin talking she drops her mug on the ground spilling tea all over the flooroh! im so sorry penguin guess i also zoned out thenshe kneels down and starts to mop up the tea using a clothso sorry, guess i will be making some more tea thenshe lets out a nervous laugh, embarised that she spilled tea everywhere Lazy Sundays she finishes cleaning up the mess, she looks over in penguins directionso, how do you like your tea, whi.....she notices that once again penguin has spaced outoh, ahhwell, guess its just tea for one thenshe starts to hum again, but this time she trys not to get absorbed into the unknowen tune Lazy Sundays she fineshes making the tea, and walks over to her new found favorite spot in the left corner of the lounge and sits down with her legs tucked underneath her to the rightquietly to her self she contimplatespenguins right, it defently is relaxing here Lazy Sundays finishing her tea, she stands up and goes over to wash her mug, one again she takes up that unknowen tune and starts to hum softlyafter doing that, she walks back over to the couch and lies down on it, and starts to take a light nap((so, how's everyone been?)) She then closed the fridge and searched the blue book for Hungry Dameon Pizza Parlor. Diet Cyanide Here ears start to twitch as she wakes up all of a sudden and jumps to her feetDid I hear someone mention they where ordering some pizzaShe said gleefullyAfter pasta pizza is my favourite^^She pauses as she finally realised that it is not SundayOh errr..... sorry I thought you where Sunday. ...Rose, like many others, made the transition from the main hall, where she had been for a while and others had made their appearances, into the new lounge. "Greetings, all. I wonder when this room appeared, or if it's always been here, and none of us noticed it until now...?" her voice trailed off, musingly, as she moved toward the benches.
...She stopped halfway there, though, noticing a new Elf in the room. "Pardon me, miss, I did not notice you," she said to Cyanide with a small head nod. "I am Rose M'naerion. It is a pleasure to meet you." The ever-present smile upon her lips was warm and welcoming, inviting the new member to introduce herself, as Rose had just now.
((I noticed that I was mentioned earlier as "quite eloquent and adept at rping and getting her point across nicely." I just wanted to say thank you, Vamp, for holding me in such high esteem, though this skill has not come as easily as one might think. It is thanks to a guild that is sadly no more, and about two years spent there, visiting the OOC forum quite rarely. Rose did not reply to the question of 'coffee or no coffee,' as she was too involved in her book to even here it. She was still sitting at the table, and if any wanted to speak to her, they would likely only get a response if they were to use her name directly or if they were to put something between her and the book, she was so focused.
((Yes, I am still going after a coocoon, though it doesn't really matter what gen. When I made the questbar, first was simply the cheapest. Rose looked over, not having returned to her book just yet. "Tea, if you please. Earl Grey if we have it, with milk and two sugars." Rose was, if anything, a traditionalist. She loved tea, though if she needed the caffeine, she would drink coffee, but loaded with milk and sugar. "And thank you for accepting me, Vamp," she commented, turning once more to her fellow citizen.

Rose awoke suddenly to find an empty room where a nearly full one had previously been. She stood, gathered her things and dumped out the now cold and stale tea, and left the room.

Man what did I do last night. All I remember is drinking some of Sundays coffee but that is it.She got to her feet to find that there was no one in the room no longer. How long had I been asleep. She said to herself. She walk towards the door the paused for a moment.Wait as everyone is out and I do not know my way about outside maybe I should wait here She thought to herself.talkingpenguinpants Waltzing into the empty lounge Pen collasped on the couch. She muttered"Grand Opening of Pen's Pub...thursday...across the street...to the Clan Lounge...zzzZZZzzz." Pen fell asleep on the couch due to the refinishing of the old tavern. Diet Cyanide There was a faint cry of pain comming from behind the door. Ooowww. Penguin didn't notice that when she came in that she was in front of the door as she came in. Ouchie,She said whilst staggering to a chair whilst holding here nose. That hurt you know. She said as she sat down. kinetic-cataclysm Vamp strolled into the room and paused, seeing Pen dead to the world and Cyanide holding a her nose Ouch, what happened? She walked over to Cyanide and sat in a chair next to her. Rose walked gracefully into the room once more, a question on her mind. She quickly found Vamp, as it was at she which the question was aimed. "Vamp, do you know how much gold it would cost to make a subforum? I know that in the guild system, it was twenty-five hundreds, but given that the making of the guild was free, perhaps this is, as well...?" Rose's soft, lilting voice trailed off at the end of her last question, leaving unsaid that she wanted to make a forum specifically for role playing, in stead of just having littered threads thrown all around. The earlier one starts on organizing these things, she found, the easier it was later on.page 20

kinetic-cataclysm Vamp looked up at Rose from her chair "As far as I know, it doesn't cost anything to start a thread. I started an rp thread in the clan already for anyone, and so did Pen, and I do not think it cost her anything." Vamp turned to Pen, snoozing on the couch, and poked her, hoping she would wake up some time soon. After no response after a couple of seconds Vamp shrugged, and turned back around to Rose. "Ah well, you should ask her when she wakes up if it cost her anything. If it does, I can start it for you for free and then you can take off with it as you like." Diet Cyanide Cyanide just sat there feeling very plesed with herself that she just got accepted into the clan. Right I am going to go and change my clothes now.(Hey that is a point where are we supposed to wash?^^ Anyway just assume that there is a room and I just went there to wash and change clothes) Diet Cyanide She opens the door carefully(To make sure no one is behind it) and walks into the room. So what do you guys think of my new clothes? I like my new look a lot myself^^talkingpenguinpants Pen started to wake blinking to getting use to the light and streching her awking limbs. " What new *yawn* clothes?" she turned around on the couch to see Diet Cyanide in the doorway. " You look very nice but happened to your nose?" Pen yawned again and sat up right seeing the Clan had returned. "Whats up everyone?"
Pen blinked a little more and straighten herself out. Diet Cyanide Well I was behnd the door as you came in. And my nose caught the door as I was crushed behind it. She turned around and stood up to strech and then focused her attention to Rose and Vamp "Hey guys." Then with with thud Pen landed on the couch again. Diet Cyanide Well there is no need to worry as I am tougher than I look^^ talkingpenguinpants "Good thing then", Pen got up and went to the coat rack. "I know I had a coat here." She shuffled through the coats. "Oh here it is" She got her Laceback Jacket and went back to the group. "I'm going to get some pizza. Who wants some?" Diet Cyanide I do I do. Rose stood and looked towards the newcomer with disdain, straightening her back and squaring her shoulders. "The ceiling," she said in the common tongue in answer. Then, in the language of the elves, her people, she asked, "What is a human doing here? This is supposed to be a refuge for us, away from the other races."
((Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the other races, but Rose does. She's had a troubled few decades.))talkingpenguinpants Pen smiled, "Rose it might be possible that this cow was an Elf." Pen headed out the door before Rose could counter. " I'll be back later guys" th ii mble rose
"He be a cow now, but I sense no elven aura from him," she said softly, knowing that Pen's hearing was as good as her own. She was still speaking in the elven tongue, all regards for decency or manners abandoned when relating with humans. They had not been kind to her in the past, though she had done nothing to harm anyone of them. At that time, anyway.talkingpenguinpants Rose was correct. Pen did hear her in their natve tongue. Pen thought about what Rose said and thought about her experience. "Humans have no place in elven affairs. They fail to see our logic of calm reasoning. However..." Pen had come in contact with humans that made her believe in the human race. Still "What can I do..."Returning to the lounge with the Pizza she sensed the tension was still apparent in the room. Pen placed the pizza putting pussure on peter piper picking poppy peppers. Say that ten times fast. Really, Pen put the pizzas on the table then took a slice and leaned on the counter. Diet Cyanide Oooo pizza yummy. Cyanide took a slice and took a bite out of it. Now that is what I call pizza. Taste ten times better than that human rubbish. She said remembering the human that barged in. Yeah I sense that you do not like humans that much Rose? I do not blame you one bit. page 21

Lazy Sundays Sunday walks casually into the room looking a little embarrassedumm, hi guys. i think i got lost on the way to the clanthe she notices dedederox and her face changes to that of someone spotting rubbish on the ground what is that doing here? its not one of the ones i used to be with...Sunday walks around dedederoxnope not one of the ones i was withcan we throw it out at all? or use good manners and just ignore it?then she spots the pizza that pen brought inooo! pizza. mind if i take a slice?((been inactive due to work, sorry :s. Sunday dislikes most humans now due to the fact of the previous clan she was in, there's very few she will actually trust now.)) Rose watched as the Thing walked out under her own influence. She didn't relax, however, when it had left, and she still spoke in Elvish. "Those of you who are in the army may want to post guards," she said, her voice deceivingly calm. "Not for us, of course, but for those who may wander in. I cannot guarantee the safety of the next human to set foot in our rooms." Though she herself had not yet chosen which faction of the kingdom to join, she had no lack of ideas for what they should be doing with their time.Diet Cyanide Cyanide stopped what she was doing and took notice. I guess you really do hate humans a lot huh. Ah well it might aswell be me doing the guarding She to heed of what Rose had to say as she had a feeling that there is more to this Elf than meets the eye. She then asked Rose. Are you ok you seemed more angry than most other Elves would be at the presence of a human?th ii mble rose
Rose turned her head slowly to look at Cyanide, then sighed. "When I was young, I spent time with the Humans," she said quietly, her voice filled with a melancholic blend of hurt, frustration, and disappointment. "Though my family warned me about them, I didn't listen--who does at that age? I haven't seen my family since I left them, but leave I did, and I realized all too late the grave mistake I had made." Rose paused as she moved over to sit, her strong but narrow shoulders slumping, her pointed ears drooping. "I didn't know then the magicks that I know now, and I didn't know the dangers of the Human world. So naive, I was, I spoke with any that I met who showed the least bit of interest in me; be that interest stemmed from the fact that I was female, or that I was an Elf--as I could not yet disguise myself at will, it was apparent to all who laid eyes upon me that I was not human--or some combination of the two; or the simple wish to have a friend. One of those folk, a big man with arms like the branches of a tree, was a slaver." She had to stop there for a moment, remembering all too well that time and the fear she had felt at the auctions. She tensed once again, this time trying not to let the tears that glittered in her eyes fall. When she could speak again, she seemed to look older, more worn than before. She was in her prime, not even two-hundred years of age yet, but she looked as if she might as well be a thousand. "To make a long, uncomfortable story short, this man took me to an auction, and I was sold. I won't go into the events that happened after my master," she spat the word like poison, "brought me back to his house, but rest assured, they alone would have been enough to validate my hatred of the Human race."
Her story--or what she would tell of it--done, Rose fell silent, seething silently. She would calm down soon, but she simply wasn't ready to let go of the wrongs that the humans had done to her just yet. She had spoken quite a lot in one sitting, more than she had in a good long while, and as the anger subsided, she was beginning to feel rather self-conscious.Diet Cyanide She was shocked at the horrifying story that Rose told. I....I..... I ..... I am really really sorry I mentioned it I didn't mean to bring all the horrible memories back. She is not normally moved by other peoples stories but Roses story knocked her back. She didn't know how some humans could be so cruel. She then thought to herself that she must not got over emotional here and she turned to Rose patted her on the shoulder and said with a comfoting look. Don't worry you have got all of us to look out for you now. So do not fret so much^^. Anyway I am off to do my guarding duty as you requested so you can just relax for a while. Cyanide really did feel guilty about bringing some painful memories back for Rose as she started to open the door and close it behind herself. As she got to thinking whilst on guard she made a pact with herself that if she ever came accross or found out the whereabouts of this slaver she was going to make him pay for the heinous crime he committed against Rose. Diet Cyanide She poked her head through the door. And do not think I have forgotten about my stolen bit of pizza topping Sundays. I will get your pizza topping when you least expected it^^death phantasam Have u made the new clan yet? I suggest that you do because I don't think harognoth will be coming back and if he does it won't be any time soon so you can either make a new clan or we can go our separete ways. kinetic-cataclysm Yeah, I'm sorry death phantasm, but we simply became too impatient. I'm currently monitoring the new clan we made right now. Rose followed her out the door so she could continue speaking with Cyanide. "There is no need to find the slaver, Cyanide," she said, "and you needn't worry about me; I have long since killed all who had anything to do with my captivity." Rose's eyes were cold as she spoke, a stark contrast to her usual warm, kind confidence.
((Death Phantasm, are you saying that Harognoth won't be coming back at all?))Diet Cyanide How did you know exactly what I was thinking? She said wide eyed in amazement. I didn't say a word talkingpenguinpants Pen stood up. The whole time she was deep in thought taking in everything. Rose story was moving, unfortunely we can't fix the damage left by others. However being around 500, Pen has witness the humans at their worse and best. Pen knew Rose might have elimnated the problem but not have healed her wounded heart. Let Rose heal for one more day, today we must deal with an absent King.
"Ok then, surely the King has good faith in us. We have survived this long so what should be our next action?" Page 22

Lazy Sundays ((hey sorry, some things have popped up so i wont be online for a bit (hopefully only like a week or so) ill try to get back on asap, until then my brother will be on my account doing daily chance and such for me, if i do post and i haven't said i'm back it will be him :s sorry everyone sad )) ((p.s. make sure he doesnt do anything against the gaia/guld tos please D smile ) Diet Cyanide (Well that sucks that you are not going to be on Gaia for a little while. But at least hopefully you will not be gone for too long.) kinetic-cataclysm Vamp looked up from the chair she had been sitting in from earlier. She had just been listening to the various converstions, feeling no urge to contribute. She stood up and wandered across the room to stand next to Pen "You're right Pen, I feel bad for Rose, but she has dealt with it for years by herself so far. For now, we need to think of what to do about Harognoth. If His Higness isn't going to be back, what do we do? We can go on without him as we've been doing so far, but it would be very wrong of us I think to renounce him entirely. This clan was his brainchild after all, it's becuase of him I've met you all. I think this calls for an entirely different manner of action than the clan situation, and we all need to talk about it extensively and think it through thoroughly before we consider doing anything. Diet Cyanide Cyanide could hear a conversation going on inside the lounge. Ah damn it I am probably missing out on something interesting. She said to herself. She then had this feeling that she was being watched. She looked around but couldn't see anything. But yet she still had this nagging feeling that she was been watched. Rose looked at Cyanide, wondering if she should explain her ability to the clan. Shaking her head slightly, she decided that if she was going to be in this kingdom, she might as well bare her secrets. "I am a telepath," she said softly. "It is rather hard to not hear the thoughts of those around me, especially with Elves, as I'm more in tune with my own race." She fell silent once more, though, contemplating what could possibly happen in the absence of their king.talkingpenguinpants Pen nodded agreeing with Vamp. "Well I like to move that our esteemed King keeps his title and position." She paused looking about the room. " I will also like to move that we Elves govern ourselves in a parliment style." She paused again this time Pen looked out in space as if reading the words she said. "Which means we act democratically but don't wait for the King's approval. When he feels there is a need he can intervene. This way if he doesn't come back we can deal with the problems of the Kingdom." Pen stood in the middle of the room to see if anyone agreed. Lazy Sundays umm, hi? i was told to post here to let this clan know that I'm Sunday's brother.. i have contact with her in case you want to ask her anything, but apart from that she told me to not tell people where she is. so ahhh yeah, that's basically it. -Dave Diet Cyanide She listened to what Rose had to say. So you could hear the thoughts of anyone like even me right now? She tried hard not to think of anything but this of course lead her to think. She then came to a sudden realisation that she was outside guarding the entrance when the door could easily of been locked from the inside. She burst in through the door. You guys knew that the door could of been locked didn't you? She said with an annoyed look on her face. Besides I had an eerie feeling that something was watching me out there. It was kind of creepy.(Rose I assumed that you where inside the lounge still whilst telepathically communicating to me as I was outside. As for when I was trying not to think and ended up thinking what that is I will let you decide. Oh and remember whilst I was outside I could only hear muffled voices from Vamp and Pen. So I did not hear your speech Pen.) talkingpenguinpants Startled by the outburst Pen turned to Cyanide. "Then why did you volunteer to be the guard?" Pen laughed she didn't mean to make Cyanide embrassed but for her to relax. Pen faced Cyanide and with a smile she spoke, " To lock the door we lock new members out. Now I know some aren't as leanant with humans as I but one cow who recieved a very cold welcome is no reason to get up in arms about." Pen then waved her hand as if she was some doorman to welcome in Cyanide. Lazy Sundays was talking to sun, she said i had to make a leave for her 'rp'? im just quoting what she told me:
Sundays face suddenly changed to a blank face and her voice changed to mono tonei'll be back in a week or so everyonewith that she walked out the door without even looking at anyone's face or a second look into the roomoh and she says hi Diet Cyanide Oh. She said with an look of embarassed look on her face. Whoops careless me. Should of thought that one through a bit more. She said with a nervous laugh as she turned to go back outside. That went very well should thogh sarcastically. The next time you think Cyanide do the opposite she thought to herself as she closed to door behind herself. She then saw Sundays walk out with a blank exrpession on her face. Hey Sundays where are you going? She asked but got no reply as Sundays walked off. Well that was weird. She thought to herself. kinetic-cataclysm Vamp opened the door to speak to Cyanide, an amused expression on her face. "She's on autopilot for now. Anyway, Cyanide you need to be in on this. I don't think you've met His Highness yet, but regardless, he is our King. The summary of Pen and I's conversation was that Harognoth, the King, should keep his position even though he rarely shows up to govern us, and that we should for the meantime govern ourselves through a Parliament, or democratically. However, Harognoth has the power as the King to intervene on issues. The majority of time we can govern ourselves without always waiting for his approval, which is pretty much what we've been doing thus far." Vamp then walked across the room from the door to sit down in a chair a few feet away from Pen. She brought her knees up to balance a thick book, and she zoned out from any further conversation for a while. Diet Cyanide Right got that loud and clear Vamp^^ She was not please as she wanted to meet the king. But she hid her dipleasure well from Vamp. She then sighe and said to herself Oh well one day maybe. talkingpenguinpants "Well I guess no one has a problem with that solution." Pen paused and waited for a response. "Ok then" Pen cleaned up the kitchen from the pizza she had brought. " I need some shut eye so I'm heading back to the pub. See ya guys later." Pen walked out with her head down brooding something... Diet Cyanide Cyanide noticed that something was wrong as Pen passed by her. Are you feeling ok Pen? She said. You know it is dark out and there is dangers about so you shouldn't travel alone.
