I just finished making the background image:

Pip Girl 3000!

Took the Xenotech Expert image and edited it slightly, some in the expression, plus the hair. Conveniently posed arms meant I didn't have to figure out trying to add a bosom.

Then I added some dark gradients to the edges and a highlight in the upper left corner to add the illusion of depth, some smudges, plus some "noise" and some parallel bars to better simulate an old-fashioned screen.

*probably the biggest dork in the guild* biggrin

Well, I'm overall pretty low-tech. My cell phone? It uh, can make phone calls. That's it. The only reason I *have* a cell phone is because the parents added me to their plan and gave me a phone. The contract ends next month; I'm hoping to be able to send it back to them and get my own plan.

I want a rotary cell phone. biggrin

I haven't gotten the sound effects yet for my lappy. I have a lot more modding to do, the background you see there is kind of a rough-draft, because I want to adjust it so that the icons are part of the layout. But since the lappy isn't very powerful, I'm wanting to do most of the gruntwork on my desktop, so that I can just send things directly to the lappy as necessary. whee

Would you believe that I can't find any pip-boy sound effect waves on the internet? gonk!
