Is Bob Avakian misleading potential allies?
Yes, he is nothing but a detriment
Not really, he's just a cultist, pure and simple
He is yes/no, but he aids by firing people up.
He's a puppet to the government acting out to destroy public opinion of communism further

Bob Avakian's Revolution Talk

Yeah... not to sound like a noob, but I just watched all of the Revolution Talk by Bob Avakian over the last several days. He rose alot of good points, and he really helped me strike home at the center of America's bleeding heart of bigotry, cruelty, and oppression. Now, I think he may exagerate some things, and further he may repeat himself like 10 times to where you start to lose focus of where he's going with his speech, but he rose alot of good ideas, topics, answered alot of questions about revolution... that it IS something necessary, that you can't make laws and turn society into a socialism over time in a peaceful manner. That we will have to take arms and go to the streets, possibly in a full scale civil war.

That once our revolution has failed/succeeded, and we've continued to reform and make another revolt, again and again until we liberate ourselves not only in America, but across the world, we will then have to face the whiplash of other imperialist nations, such as England and Europe. That we must bring liberation to their workers, too. Now, I don't agree on all of his points. I do agree that racism in our society is very real, and very crooked. I see cops treating black people like garbage and it makes me sick to have served as a cog in the Military death machine towards the world.

I met a man outside my apartment today, Larry... he's an old black codger, served in the Army in the early 70s and lost his entire brotherhood to service in Vietnam. He's good people. We talked about bigotry and oppression, about the need to tear the "devil" from people's minds and to instill in all humanity a central "good", which though he meant it religiously, I meant it philisophically. There is a lot of hatred, of apathy, in people's hearts. They want to earn what is theirs and ******** all else. Protect their family and ******** you. But some of us are perfectly content with ruling over others, with treating others with this sense of degradation and subservitude. These people are not born with this vanity, this need to oppress, they learn these actions based on the system of oppression we live in, in society. They know these things are wrong, they must. It can't honestly feel good for them to do this, can it?

Well, I'll post more later so I don't go on forever, like Bob Avakian does XD

Let me know, fellow MCS members, is Bob the coming of the Vanguard party? is Bob just another wacked out American commie trying desperately to build that vanguard party? or, I suppose, is Bob misguided and over the top dramatizing things? I'm curious what you're viewpoints on him may be.

Yeah, to be honest. I'm starting to see they're an empty cultist mindset, set not on revolution of the proleteriat, of their liberation, so much as it is an old man's appeal to young impressionable minds seeking communism, such as mind, I've just recently been bourne to communism as a practice, though I've held many similar ideals to Lenin and Marx since I was a boy. I'm starting to think that it's possible that they're just another petty bourgeoisie class promoting organization, that wants to appear more communist than they really are. But with how little they actually divulge, it's hard to tell.

This "Whiplash" you speak of only happens if we revolt with violence. If we give them no enemy or no face to attack, they can do nothing but watch as their power fades.

Peaceful revolts and simple stand downs have been quelled often in our country's past. Look no further than the Ford company, their workers demanding a union and refusing to work... Capitalist's answer? Call in the national guard and gun them down.

The RCP are... not that good.
Kotka linked this on them, but I'd also like to point to the following articles:
From 2004 'Revolutionary in Name Only'
From 2005 'The RCP and the Cult of Chairman Bob.'
From 2007 about the RCP tailing the Democrats.

These articles might be a little too full of history and might be a little too full on for some of our newer members, but they're worth a read. Whether you agree with the Sparts or not, you cannot help but see that the RCP is... failure.

Why not also add Carnegie, except he decided to hire his own private army.

And how about history's most talked about president, Rutherford B. Hayes? He sent the army to put down a railroad strike against slave wages and dangerous working conditions.

Do you not listen? We demand nothing. We simply quit, and let their economy fall.

If we just quit they will use force to put us back in line.

You can call for people to quit. Go ahead. And while you're appealing to the pacifists, we'll get the support of people who aren't passive, and who want to actually change s**t, and are willing to do something about it, and not simply count time, not simply put everything off with 'we only have the support of 40% of the workers, we'll be isolated' or 'yes, we have the support of 90% of the workers, but we have no one else! We'll be isolated!'

You can go and appeal to those people. We'll appeal to the workers.
You can say 'don't make demands' and have the workers ignore you because they have demands that need to be realised for their very life. We will go to the workers and tell them about the correct wayy to raise their demands. We will tell them to actually raise their demands in a way that will get results, in a way that will lead to greater class consciousness and greater support for the revolutionary party.

You will be left in the mud.

Do not demand, do not ask, and you will not receive. If you ask, and demand, and have no reason to be turned down other than capitalist greed, and you are turned down, workers will see the inhumanity of it and rise with you making the voice louder.

Of course, all this does is lead the capitalist to either grant you a small victory in name that blinds you to the fact they're stealing more from you, or they'll outright kill as many of you as they can until you're "put in your place"... The latter could only lead to a rebellion, and hopefully a revolution.
A cog in the American death machine....

That's why communists need to fight for leadership in the unions, so that they can actually fight for meaningful gains.

Indeed, the small worker's union s**t is almost always given like a "decoy" victory, so that more can be robbed from you when you think you've won something.
It's a vicious cycle where asking gets you nowhere, and demands can cause some serious issues, but demand enough and you'll get what you want or you'll get force directed at you... then you become victorious or die in a "revolt", the tragedy being if you die you're branded a traitor and a terrorist.

Isolated with 86% or so of the population? Think about it, please.

No... No. Their demands will be met when the time comes. They don't need to beg for scraps from the group they are dismantling and disowning.
