In order to best serve contests, we here at A.R.K. have set up a set of rules and guidelines specifically for contests. Here they are:
1. We will allow privately held contests. the person holding the contest needs to PM the captain or vice captain 24 hours prior to the contest post being submitted.
2.there is a private contest tax! if you would like to hold a contest here, we request a onation to the guild mule of at least ten gold if the item or cash prize is value at more than 10k. if it is under, we ask a donation of 5 gold, but if the item is valued under 1k there is no donation nessecary.
3. each private contest must provide in the PM a description of the contest, and a pre-draft of the main post to ensure that it is a fair contest. this must be submitted to the captain directly.
4.you must be able to pay up! if you cannot provide a certain prize you have promised in a contest, you should have not posted the contestin the first place.[/yellow]
5. all contests must follow gaia's TOS an our general rules: keep profanity to a minimum, save the drama for your mama, etc...
6. A.R.K. held contests are accessible by A.R.K. members ONLY. joining A.R.K. is free, and quick, so there is no reason to not become a member. HOWEVER, you must be a member for 48 hours PRIOR to the contests opening!
7. members who do not claim thier prize within 48 hours are considered to be donating it to A.R.K., and the item will be auctioned off for gold to help needy gaians.
8.if you have an idea for a contest, but do not wish to hold it yourself, PM it to the captain. IF you choose to do this, your are giving your idea freely to A.R.K., wether we choose to do it or not, and you cannot hold the same contest at the equivalent time A.R.K. may hold the idea. to make sure we do not confuse contest submissions and contest ideas, follow the rules in the second post below.

YOU may not hold an identical contest as someone else at the same exact time for the same period of time. whoever posted first will be allowed to carry on and the latter contest will be suspended temporarily until the first contest is cuncluded or 1 week after begun, whichever is first.
10. if you take cash for "ticket" in a raffle style contest, A.R.K. holds no responsibility over the outcome of your contest. you will be asked once after the contest to donate some of your earnings, but it is not mandatory. you must give back all gold if you choose to suspend or abandon the contest. if you do not, we will notify Gaia Admin of your actions and hand you over to them for judgement.
