 Santa's Gone Missing! It is a cold and snowy day in a small Northern Canadian village. You are warming up in the local tavern, The Red Lion, having a pint of beer with your friends. Suddenly the door of the tavern swings open and in strides a small, but round figure cloaked in a large red velvet hooded cloak. You can see just the glint of possibly some spectacles and long flowing white hair under the cowl before she rushes over to the barkeep. Everyone in the bar turns to stare, however there is still a low rumble around the tavern that makes it difficult for you to hear what the woman is saying. - - - - -

Roleplay Rules 1. We will be starting at level 1. 2. Each player will be allowed 3 turns per day. If you are not on a day or miss a turn, you forfeit those turns. 3. Players do NOT have to wait for others to make their 3 turns, however it is best if you stay together as a team and use OOC chat to discuss the group's next move. 4. In this game we will not be worrying about food, rest, or travel time. To regroup with your team, use OOC chat... and to travel somewhere simply tell the DM where it is you are traveling to and you are there the next round as long as it is not obstructed. 5. Choose your character carefully though, because your special ability is only usable once per day. 6. At the start, you are allowed to choose 5 of the items on the table to put in your backpack. However as the game progresses your standard backpack can hold up to 10 items and unlimited gold. 7. When addressing the DM, use your character's icon as stated in the instructions.

The losing person must then choose an alternate. Your characters appearance and backstory is completely your own. You may post one if you like, or just keep it to the simple Character stats as I have here.
All PCs (player characters or members playing this game) must keep their intro post up-to-date. If you gain or lose items, gold, etc it must be added to your post. Consider this your Character Sheet.
Also, there is a spot to mark when you have used your special ability (as you are only allowed once per day), and when you have taken your turn for the day (3 per day): I will be keeping track of these and marking them on your character posts for you.

All magical or mystical items are noticeable by you. Gameplay Mechanics
This game will run close to D&D, however I am ignoring certain mechanics like food, rest, and travel time. As such, I am also applying the following changes into the rules. Please read carefully.
1. Most important: When you are telling the DM what move you have decided to make, use your character icons. I will be ignoring most OOC chat (any chat without this) so that you may all discuss the game freely amongst yourselves. 2. When choosing to speak to someone to find out some information, you must roll 1d20 (1 20-sided die) against your Charm stat. 3. When choosing to take an action, you must roll 1d20 against your Action stat. 4. I will modify the stats for actions that are more difficult. 5. All players get 3 turns per day. If planned out amongst yourselves, you can get a lot done with that. Each turn consists of one action or one attempt to speak with someone. 6. Fights will be completed in one roll against your Action stat to save on time. No blow by blows... sorry. 7. Traveling will take one turn as well. Simply state where you want to go to the DM as "I want to go to..." then you are there. If all players go together, then they all use one turn to do so. If someone misses their turns on that day, players can choose to leave them behind. Or you can choose to split the team for added investigation.
