Kobuya Academy has been around for many centuries, which is part of what makes it so prestigious. The classes are hard, the grounds beautiful, and the studens breathtakiing. These are things that have always been noticed about Kobuya Academy from the outside world, the things noticed with jealous eyes. However, there is something that always seems to go forgotten, something extraordinary. You see, every decade the school has an assembly in which they present 10 students - 5 boys, 5 girls - whith beautifully intricate heart-shaped lockets. They are always different pieces of accessories, whether it be a necklace, a pin, an earring, a bracelet, a ring, a hairpin, a choker, and so on. Being presented with this locket is the highest honor that you can recieve in the school. And then, after a 2 days with the locket, the 10 students start to notice something strange. They're gaining new powers, becoming more agile and quick, and they hear a voice in their heads, one thats not theirs. They soon find out that their lockets possess a spirit- a very powerful spirit -that will possess them whenever the owner chooses. The owners of the lockets, or better known as the Guardiani, soon find out that they were chosen to fight and destroy the sadistic forces of the Abiteth.
