The ending of the game can either make it or break it. So I was wondering what everyone least favorite or favorite game ending are. My number one least favorite was the ending for Final Fantasy VIII it was so sad you didn't know if Squall was alive or dead.

To tell the truth I can never figure out the very first ending of A Witch's Tale. In the game a Witch's Tale there are two endings the first one and a second one, or to be more precise a "nightmare" ending and a "peaceful" ending. In the first ending or rather the "nightmare" ending Liddell defeats the Eld Witch with the rune magic than she is told that's exactly what happened 1000 years ago to Alice and how Queen Alice's servants are calling Liddell their queen... and she wakes up to see Kitty( her roommate/classmate) standing over her saying that Babayaga smacked her rather hard and how Liddell shouldn't skip class anymore. Liddell kinda agrees, says she'll go back to class tomorrow, and suddenly Kitty points out the White Rabbit which shocks Liddel... cause apparently it wasn't a dream especially the next scene of Loue talking to Alice saying that Liddell was stronger than they thought she was.

I've always loved FFX's ending. It's a giant FU to the romantic plot. I was like wait what? Huh? Got to love it.

this is a bit of an oldie but the ending of the game Illusion of Gaia made no sense to me whatsoever.

But then that game was very badly translated so a lot of the story in game didnt make sense either. The line "Maybe it belongs to riverson" when you suddenly hear a banging sound in the underground tunnel comes to mind. There are many other examples

I loved the game though so I didn't let this ruin it for me. but still I would like to play a better translated version

I have to say, I absolutely hated the ending for the original Super Mario Bros.

You know, the one that was bundled on the same cartridge as Duck Hunt? Anyone else remember the ending to that one? OMG!

"Too Human" ending for me sucked hard.
"metal Gear solid 4" it just completed the series for me.

I could be wrong but I'm certain Squall lived at the end of FF8. My favorite endings would be the Balloon ride ending of Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest 8 ending. I hate when they make you have to sit through a long list of credits to view the ending, I don't mind if they scroll during the ending but keep them out of the picture and have the ending picture be larger than the credit scroll. Let me get lost in the ending.

I love the game Tombi (Tomba in some countries), and can play it within 4 hours now, since I finished it so often. But the ending always bothers me. I can solve all puzzles and quests I want, but there's always one left... I also know there is a secret place in the game that I've never reached, since my old PS1 once skipped the CD and showed a new town >.<

The ending from Drakengard 2 (Drag on Dragoon 2) is hilarious though. It's like "Oh, you finished the game? Hah! We got'cha there baby! Now start over on a higher difficulty to unlock the next part of the ending!" sweatdrop

I also like the Tekken games for having each their ending for the characters heart

One of my favorite game endings is Earthbound because after the credits finish rolling Ness is once again woken up to someone pounding on the door and it's... Picky Pokey/Porky's younger brother he tells Ness that a letter for him from Pokey was sent to his house, and in the letter Pokey tells Ness that he will return one day in the future to finish him off. Another one of my favorites though it's kinda sad is Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure ending where several days after Parin breaks the spell on the cursed dragon Tokaron the portal between the Monster World and the Human world has begun to close making Parin have to leave all her friends behind otherwise she'll be trapped in the Monster World forever, and it's touching because Pino doesn't want her to go though she must.

Final Fantasy Tactics ending was awesome, and very open ended, as it leaves some ambiguous openings as to whether or not Ramza, his crew, and Alma actually survived the explosion, or whether or not Delita actually ended up killing Ovelia or not (since Olan specifically stated in the cutscene before it that he made it look like an accident).

I beaten A Witch's Tale a couple of times last night and I still don't get the first ending was it a dream within a dream or just an illusion? Truthfully I don't think I'll ever understand the first ending of the game where in contrast I understand the second ending perfectly.

I thought that the ending to My World My Way was pretty interesting since princess Elise rejects the adventurer with a level 99 in handsomeness whom she had been trying to impress throughout the game in the end by saying that he's boring and that she had a lot more fun by traveling alone.

I think that the ending goes something like this... After saving the past Will and Kara return to their own time and to being ordinary everyday kids.
