Nyx was waiting in the cabin for Arachne and Derek to arrive.
Arachne walked into the cabin and saw Nyx, she ran ran up to her and hugged her. "Mom, I'm so glad I finally get to meet you," Arachne smiled at her. Nyx hugged Arachne back.
"I'm glad to meet you to," they let go of each other. "I heard what happened to your father, he'd want you to be happy,"
"I know," Arachne sighed.
"So, where's Derek?" Nyx asked.
"He should be here soon." Arachne smiled at her mom.

Derek walked in, not expecting his mother to be standing there waiting for them. He put his bag on the floor and walked over to Nyx and Arachne.

"Hello Derek," Nyx smiled at him. "I'm just here to welcome you both then I have to leave soon," she hugged Derek. "I heard what happened to your father."

"Um, hi." Derek still wasn't sure how he should feel about seeing his mother for the first time. He'd wanted to meet her for years, but only to yell at her for not telling him who she was and why she left. Of course that was before he found out he was a half-blood.

Nyx let go of Derek. "Do not be nervous of meeting me and I'm sorry that I left you guys but you should know, it's not easy being goddess of night."

Nyx smiled at Derek and Arachne. "I'll visit you whenever you call my name." With that she left the cabin.
Arachne looked at Derek. "Man is mom ever busy."

Derek nodded. "Yea I guess, but you'd think she could at least spend more than five minutes with two of her kids." Derek shrugged and hopped onto an empty bunk.

Arachne layed down on an empty bed. "Yeah, so what do you want to do?"

"I don't know." Derek shrugged. "We could go check out the Camp, or we could just stay here and rest."

"I'd much better check out the camp at night," Arachne had a bored expression on her face and she could smell it was going to rain. "Plus it's about to rain."

Derek sighed. "This camp's going to be so boring." He muttered and stared at the cabin ceiling.
