other- Derek Rich grew up in a wealthy family. His mother and father had died when Derek was young, only three years old. He had a little sister who was taken away by a distant cousin. Derek was forced to live with his grandfather, someone he hated more than anyone. He never knew that one of his parents was actually a God, and that he/she was still living. But he soon found that out at the age of fifteen, the week before his 16th birthday, that he was a demi-god. Monsters had attacked his grandfather's mansion, which in the end burnt down. His grandfather burned with the house, while he Derek ran for his life. He was found by a satyr and taken t Camp-Half Blood, a place where he should be safe.

other- Arachne had a good life until her father was murdered in front of her when she was 10, she has a brand with the initials of the man who murdered her father on the right side of her neck. She was born on the same day and same time the Titanic sank, but she was born 16 years ago and not in 1912. Her father gave her, her name because he loved greek mythology. After her father was murdered she lived behind a restaurant in the alley for a year until a centaur found her and told her what she was, the centaur took care of her ever since.
