|| .Club Envy. || .Modern Day Vampire RP. || A modern day, vampire dark role play.
Modern day New York City, the city that never sleeps. It's always been assumed this is because of people working odd hours and the party goers at night. That is only because the Vampires who roam the streets are very careful who they tell about their secret.
Almost as secret as the vampires is a haven for them; Club Envy. The night club is run by a powerful and influential vampire named Dekell Dutockale.

The Club
To the unknowing eye of a mere mortal this club looks rather normal with a few extra features added on, but to a vampire or other creature of the like they will be able to see that this place is a haven for their kind. Most of the staff are not human, weapons are checked at the door, and anyone inside the walls gain the protection of Dekell himself.
The club is open twenty-four hours, seven days a week.
The main floor is open to all and possibly the most interesting floor as some nights hold different entertainment then others. Some nights this floor is used as a dance floor with live bands, other nights a Cabaret-style show is the main feature, and once every few months a musical or play is produced.
The Pit, which is located under the main floor is always playing dark music for all to dance to. It's a little more exclusive than the first floor, but not by too much.
Then there is the VIP section located on the second floor. A heavily guarded staircase leads up to a very classy area where vampires can feed and mingle freely. Here is one of the few places a creature may relax in their true form. The only mortals allowed up to this level must be escorted, or very well trusted by the staff.
Lay out images to be added soon

Rules 1. Follow the TOS and Guild rules. 2. Your character, at all times, must be careful to not let the world know his/her kind exists. 3. Your character must have flaws and weaknesses to keep things fair. 4. No Twilight vampires. 5. Your character can not bring weapons into the club. There is a coat check that will check weapons as well. 6. While other races are welcome, this is an RP mostly about Vampires and humans. 7. If you play a human there is a high chance that you have no idea about Vampires or anything of the sort. The first few humans in play will not know about these races. 8. Each player will be allowed two characters at a time. I recommend that you make one and save the other one for down the line. 9. There is a chance your character may die, but you will always have the chance to allow them to live. Also, if your character dies here I have no qualms with rehashing them for other RPs. 10. The rules of no god moding or power gaming heavily apply here. 11. Please do not look for loop holes in the rules. Any cases of this will be addressed and dealt with. (This role play died because of that once, so I thank you for your understanding.) New Rule: 12. If you are playing a vampire aim to make them young. Ideally less then one hundred. 200-300 is good for an older vampire. To play a vampire any older than this send me a PM first and we can talk about it. Thanks. biggrin

Non-Human Profiles Username:Leid Character Name:Dekell Dutockale Age:Closing in on 1900 years old, very old even by Vampire standards. Appears late twenties to mid thirties. Gender:Male Race: Head Vampire of his Bloodline Powers: Dekell's bloodline is open to a wide variety of powers of all kinds. Dekell has trained for countless years to nearly master manipulation of the mind and scenes. Most mortals easily succumb to his powers and other vampires can fall prey if they aren't careful. Some of Dekell's other powers include speed, strength, resilience, and a mild tolerance of sunlight. Weaknesses:While Dekell's bloodline has adapted to be strong predators they have many set backs. While they can have the light of the sun touch their skin they must be very careful. Exposure of the high noon sun causes burning quickly, and a clear day is to be avoided. On a cloudy day or later in the evening exposure can last for a few hours with out discomfort, however, on a clear day after about an hour burning can occur rapidly. The high noon sun causes burning in a short matter of minutes.
This clan can fall victim to the compulsive need to count objects scattered before them and untie knots, but with years of training these compulsions can be subdued. Mirrors reflect their true reflection; a visage of a rotting corpse, unless a high level spell is cast on the mirror. Young vampires have trouble entering a home unwelcomed, and as they gain power they can enter unwelcomed but their powers are severely weakened.
Holy objects of all religions that recognize warding of evil cause anything from discomforts to severe burns. Buildings of this nature cause the vampires of this clan weakness and make them so for quite some time afterward.
All wounds can be healed over times, but a wound to the heart or to the brain can not be recovered. Decapitation of both figure heads of this blood line, then burying each head at a cross roads will nearly decimate the clan. While not commonly prone to a frenzied state, these vampires can fall victim to 'infections' in their blood. Curing the frenzy is hard and only important members of the family will be tended to, others will be killed. Personality:Dekell commonly tries to make people his friend and if he can not do this through the usual means he will use his powers of illusion to alter the feelings of his target. Gifts of all kinds are his crutch to keeping friends when he feels a relationship may grow weak. Overly friendly to all he still keeps people at arms reach. It's hard to figure out what breaks down that boundary, but once it is down that friendliness becomes all the more real. Bio:Dekell's story is a long one, starting ages ago in a small village where he was a hunter. Upon happing by the amulet that gave him the position of Father of his clan his life changed. He went from a shy and sweet young man to a business savvy and cold hearted tycoon. Recently he has found an odd balance between the two. Living for so long has brought him much wealth. With this wealth he owns one home across seas and a near perfect replica here in the States, as well as this club. Photo: Feast your eyes...____________________________________ Username:Leid Character Name:Johnathan Dutockale Age:A few hundred years. While not very old for a vampire, still older than most. Appears mid to late teens. Gender:Male Race: Vampire Powers: Johnathan's power is mostly untrained. The natural resistance, strength, and speed of his bloodline are not wasted on him. He specializes in defying gravity, but only with aid of a surface he can adhere himself to, making himself unseen, and gravity manipulation of other objects. It's hard to say if his ability to read others auras is a true power or part of his psychosis. Weaknesses:Johnathan has all of the same weaknesses as his father, however, he also always suffered from schizophrenia and paranoia. While the vampiric blood and years of at-home therapy have calmed these conditions they are still present in his mind. Personality:Johnathan is very frightened of most people and can slowly become used to them and grow to even like them. Much of the time he comes across a very childish, hiding behind his father and speaking in that very small voice of his. After Johnathan has become comfortable with someone he can be very friendly and jovial. Bio:Born the eldest son of a pair of working class citizens in the 1800s Johnathan suffered from mental disorders that caused him to see things that weren't there. His parents did their best, and did more than others felt they should have bothered with. At the time is wasn't cruel to consider a lobotomy or even kill him out of mercy, however, his parents couldn't bring themselves to do so.
After becoming a teen Johnathan met Dekell and after a few years Johnathan found his way into Dekell's heart. After a long talk with the Johnathan's parents Dekell adopted the young boy, and only a short time after that Johnathan learned what Dekell was and begged to become his sired son as he feared dying more than living, scared that the demons inside him would make him suffer even more in Hell. Photo: Catch a glimpse.______________________________________________ Username:Assassin_EntreriCharacter Name:Asakerth D'TorroAge:Nearing 2000 years. Appears late 20's to early 30'sGender:MaleRace: Gypsy Vampire Clan; LeaderPowers: Able to shift forms to whatever he wants to as well as bend the shadows to his will. He is also a master of illusions. Able to remove his heart and place it in hiding.Weaknesses:Cannot cross running water and manages to pass it off as never learning to swim. He also cannot stand sunlight at all. However, his clan suffers from a bad compulsion to commit a crime of some sort, be it stealing or graffiti. Asakerth has to fight this compulsion nearly every hour to avoid landing in trouble with other Clan Leaders. If someone finds his heart and puts a stake through it, he becomes paralyzed and an easy target to decapitate. A Rosewood stake, however, will out right kill him. Personality:Asakerth knows when to be silly and knows when not to be. He enjoys a good prank and is laidback unless provoked to anger. Its then his temper flares. Asakerth is friendly...unless your his next snack!Bio:Asakerth and his Clan were all originally a band of Gypsies who roamed the land and even called "Nomads" in some places. However, after helping a odd man out and giving him a place to rest, the man paid their kindness by 'cursing' them. He was a vampire and as such, turned them into one. While many of Clan view it as such, Asakerth and a few do not.Photo: What he appears as but this is his True Form___________________________________ Username:Lena_Jay_Ren
Character Name:Aya ketsueki
Age:189 appears to be only 18
Gender:Female Race: Vampire
Powers: Her power is not something you see from day to day. She has what you call ice fire, a very icy blue fire with black tips that freezes everything it touches. She cannot control ice but she can control this freezing side of fire.
Weaknesses:Aya cannot stand the heat. If she gets close to something hot, her blood starts to boil and will find an exit to, draining her to her last drop of blood. She can stand sunlight but only from a distant dark place though she cannot stand before it. She is strongest when the moon is full so therefore her weakest point would be the new moon.
Personality:Aya has a laid back kind of personality. Her anger isn't that to trifle with but she does know how to control herself and keep her emotions locked from all others. She has a somewhat cold attitude, always dark and seeing the bad of things, but to her, the bad is good. For her when others hope the rainy day will become sunny, she's rather it rain for eternity. Instead of water, she'd wish for blood. She is into the dark beauty of things rather than the fun colorful joys humans seem to desire.
Bio:Aya's name before she changed was Kareen, unknown last name. She knows little of her family and how she was before she changed, just that she was born into a normal family but she was completely different. She always felt like she didn't belong and that her parents weren't really her parents. Her mother and father always looked down on her, wishing she was someone else, her 'non-friends' always looked at her with slight fear as they walked by her. She kept to herself and even after she changed, she still kept to herself most of the time. She was walking home one day right before the night completely filled the earth. there wasn't much light outside and the sun was down below the horizon. She had no clue what happened, just pain all over, especially on her back and neck. It so happens that what happened was she was attacked by a creature of myth who put deep gashes in her back as he dragged her into an ally and tore her throat. The man is unknown, but what was known of him is that he never left his victims alive. She was a mistake and forever will be.
Photo: Aya____________________________________________________ Username:IGmangachick Character Name:Kali Acer Age:136, appears to be in her mid teens. Gender:Female Race: Vampire Powers: Kali has the lacking ability to, for lack of a better term, kill things. She doesn’t do so by natural means, it’s almost as if her touch sucks the life out of it, but for some reason she’s only capable of using it on plants, anything that breaths and is made of flesh is somehow immune to it. While the plants disintegrate to black dust, people tend to be unharmed. She considers it a useless gift, though it serves well to eliminate food supplies with a simple tap. Weaknesses: Her minimal powers are a weakness themselves, and her poor handle of a weapon is far from being a strength by any means. Her common problem is far from these though. Despite her tendency to kill plants and force a minimal food supply on people, she easily grows ill at the sight of dead people. She has a tendency to suffer an incapability with any form of technology. Anything from a table light to a television causes trouble for her and can do as little as fall to as much as explode when she is in proximity to it. In order to keep it from causing too many problems for her, she uses a redirecting technique to route any of that destruction into a cheap micro chip she carries around in her pocket. It’s not a gift, it’s what she considers a curse. Personality:Kali is a rambunctious, rather obnoxious teen. She prefers to bother her elders with bitter jokes and is not afraid to promote her outlandish ideals in front of numerous humans. She is frequently considered sarcastic in her comments and has a loose tongue when it comes to keeping secrets. She personally applies to the belief that she’s better than most, even when she lacks restraint and necessary skill in many matters. All in all, she’s very much a child in both speech and action. Bio:Kali doesn’t have much of a past, she prefers to keep it that way. While her troublesome personality has gotten her into many loopholes and dug her a few too many trenches, her immortality tended to pull her out of the pit. As far as family goes there’s not too much she can recall, vampires fight, drink, and lie to stay alive and she’d been lying to herself since day one so being convinced of the inexistence of adults in the world wasn’t a difficult endeavor. She spent many years traveling, refusing to stay in one place for an extended period of time because of her difficulty keeping secrets. It wasn’t until she found the free haven of Club Envy that she realized she could, in fact, remain silent for a number of years simultaneously. Photo: Take a bite._________________________________________ Username:The Prototype Alex Mercer Character Name:Sorin Veidt Age:23 Gender:Male Race: Weredragon Powers: Like all good dragons of myth Sorin can breath fire though this gift can be used in any form that he takes including the human one. Though the fire is larger and more potent when he is in one of his more dragon-like forms. Also like the dragons of myth in his lesser form and final form he is capable of flight, and if pushed he can fly at amazingly high speeds. He also retains razor sharp claws that can cut through steel like a hot knife through butter, sickeningly sharp teeth capable of rending through flesh and crushing bone easily. Then of course lastly he retains a large tail that can also crush bones into powder and smash through concrete.
He is extremely strong, likely stronger then other were-creatures and most vampires as well, he is also quick and agile on par with other creatures of myth. His reflexes are amazing, lightning fast even one of his other most amazing traits in fact.
Sorin is also highly resistant to mental attack, in fact in some cases when the person attempting mental tampering is not prepared it will rebound upon the user. This can be an important ally especially dealing with individuals who like to gain the upper hand by being able to read one's thoughts. However it isn't entirely impossible to break through but it will take a large amount of mental effort and stamina to do so with good result.
Finally, as the rumors amongst vampires would tell, Sorin is capable of summoning pure undiluted sunlight even in the darkest of nights. However this power takes a toll that will shorten his lifespan, and of course it also takes a good amount of mental effort. The effort required to produce this ability to that sort of extreme could be compared to having a brain hemorrhage. Weaknesses: First of all, like a reptile Sorin has a intolerance for the cold, the colder the night the slower and more sluggish he is. Sorin often does not go out during really cold nights unless he absolutely has to, he is rather careful about where he goes also. He usually stays at home when it's snowing or raining, and if he goes out at night he is normally wearing two to three layers of clothing. He enjoys it being warmer and is more often more active during the day but he does go out at night to enjoy the night life which is actually unlike his kin. During the day however he works his job so he doesn't get to enjoy the little things during the day other then the warm sun.
Sorin, unlike most lycanthropic creatures, is not allergic to silver and is instead severely allergic to gold anything thing with gold can burn his flesh. Even when transformed gold can harm him, however gold bullets and weapons are hard to come by so it isn't often he is gravely injured.
Sorin's other weakness is that his forms are frighteningly large, especially his full form, it can get rather hard to maneuver in a city such as New York. However in his favor when he goes through his forms he causes a Delirium in humans which causes them to run in fear and forget what they saw. This effect however sometimes can effect vampires as well, so transforming in front of people can sometimes be bad for friend and foe alike.
More of a flaw then a weakness is, that others of the Lycanthrope heritage fear and dislike his kind, and are often distrustful toward them seeing them as a bad omen. Very often Vampires also do not like his kind through it is more of an intense fear then an actual dislike because stories tell of Weredragons being able to summon up sunlight at their command even during a starry moonless night. As well as breathing fire like dragons of myth, which is pretty damaging for most vampires or anything else for that matter. Personality:Sorin is a very quiet and reserved person, he can almost be considered shy because how he keeps away from confrontation. Though nothing could be further from the truth, in fact he isn't afraid of confrontation, on the contrary he is actually simply afraid of hurting too many people. Sorin thinks of himself as a monster and as a monster he knows that he can hurt people, but he doesn't want to hurt people as a monster like him should. He just wants to have a normal life like every other human being, but the sad fact is that he is NOT human. So he has to make due and be as close to HIS normal as he can be, he works hard and would party hard if he could.
He enjoys things that most people his age would, like parties, women, and the like however he just doesn't get to do it as often as he'd like. Considering he is what he is he constantly has to be on the look out for other lycanthropes and anything else that may just want to kill him. He is deeply troubled by this, he feels like none of what he is is his fault, it wasn't like he WANTED to be like this. He was simply born this way and there just wasn't anything the poor child could have done about it honestly. Though most of his enemies would say he could eat a gold bullet whenever he wanted and change it pretty quick. Bio:Sorin was born a human as a good chunk of the lycanthrope population usually is, however he was not human unlike most of them. Just human form, which is actually quite curious since most Weredragon's are born as small reptiles. Sorin's parents weren't often around and he never understood why growing up, they actually hoped he may turn out normal. . .They were wrong. . .On Sorin's first day of high school your average bully decided to mess with one of the freshmen, well it ended up being his last mistake. Sorin transformed for the first time and swallowed him whole but the delirium caused by his transformation made everyone forget.
He ran away from home and moved out to New York, he was homeless at first, and was scrounging around for what he could. He was also having to dodge the other creature out there, the ones that don't like his kind and away from the protection of his parents he had to learn to fight fast. But it was getting hard and harder especially if they would attack in the middle of the night. He eventually had no choice except to find a party that feared him and offer them at truce in exchange for protection from the others. So he went to Club Envy, and speak to Dekell Dutockale and hope for the best, everyone in the world of night creatures knew of him. Photo:What is on the outside. . .It is coming out! No more running. . .___________________________________________ Username:Mad Hatters Revenge Character Name:Shyndoah Dutockale Age:A little over 2,000 years old, though to humans she seems barely over twenty five. Gender:Female Race: Head vampire in her clan Powers: Much like that awful man she shares power with, Shyndoah minor powers are of strength, speed, mild tolerance of sunlight and resilience. What makes her so ‘scary’, even to some of her bloodline, is the ability to like astral project. She can send an image of herself out maybe 100 feet max, unless it's to Dekell, then it can be across the world. She also possesses strong telepathic speech, making it easy for her to appear as if she’s somewhere she really isn’t. When she wants to, and of course has enough energy to do so, she has the ability to make her touch feel warm, even burning depending on how she feels about who she’s touching. To top off the lovely cake of nightmares she possesses, she can make shadows bend, twist, swirl, move as if they were really creatures rising from the abyss. Humans find her irresistible, men and women alike are drawn to her appearance, her voice, with the desire to touch her, to make her happy. What is sad for them is that many only end up as food, as toys for her to break into pieces. Many have been driven insane when she speaks in their mind, appears in two places at once, and has shadows seem to reach for them. A hard to story to believe if you’re human, vampires though, knew her abilities all too well. Weaknesses: While her bloodline can have the light of the sun touch their skin they must be very careful.
Many in the clan are still victims to the compulsive need to count objects scattered before them and untie knots, as much as she wishes she'd trained herself to overcome, she still can't resist doing so.
One would wonder if a human was a believer in faith, if they would have an immunity to them. She couldn’t tell you, she gave up her faith so long ago there’s no question that holy objects make her want to vomit when she’s near them, contact with them would drive insane.
She has her fingers crossed that her fellow leader will fall victim, and despite her ‘best’ efforts, she’ll have no choice but to put him down.
Personality:While Syhndoah is one of the best comrades you can have, becoming one that can trust her is becoming nearly impossible as time goes on. Now, her main focus is to play, not just with humans but vampires as well. Seduction is her most prized possession, and she never seems to stop flirting, even when insulting someone. Like any mother though, once you are sired by her, you are forever her child, no matter how many centuries you live to recall, you will remain a cub that she will protect at all costs. No one threatens her family without paying the price, and even though she despises him, she would give some aid to Dekell if another bloodline ever came and threatened him. If it were just him at risk, she‘d probably resist the call to help, but most threats to a head member are an attempt to take over a bloodline, and that she can not allow. It is clear to many vampires, that the warmth she holds for her family, she once possessed for everyone. Centuries ago, humans whispered tales that she was Aphrodite blessing them with her love, she did nothing but use her powers to bring lovers to her bed, bring lovers to each other, to hold and kiss, and only enjoy the sensation that physical contact can bring. Now, she is a walking nightmare to many, and to those who are unaware of what she can do, a simple puzzle they feel the urge to solve. Once wanting nothing but the pleasures of loving arms, she now craves only to break those that are not close to her, the last child she sired, was because they did not flinch at her anger, only waited patiently for her to calm before continuing their attempt to win her heart. Bio:Long ago her story began, a simple, caring girl in a small village, and when a group of warriors passed through and asked for places to stay, she fell in love with their leader, and like any young girls dream come true, he fell in love with her. It didn‘t take long before he showed her his true nature, and despite how terrified she was that he would then kill her, she found herself more terrified of loosing him. So when he explained that the mother of their clan had recently been slain, and their travels were to replace her, she didn‘t hesitate to agree to join him for eternity. Having the amulet placed on her was the biggest blessing she‘d ever experienced in her life. They spend centuries happy together, siring children, acting like they were a normal, happy family. Then, many of his children were accused of witchcraft, they were new vampires, too weak from hunger to break free, and they had been unable to reach them on time. The deaths of his children changed him, and within the year, he slipped out while she slept, and let the sun take his life, ripping her own heart to pieces when she felt her tie to him break. This new man she‘s suppose to care about, is not worthy in her eyes. He stumbled upon the amulet, and before she even had time to mourn her lose, someone had taken her lovers place. Since that day, she‘s stayed away for long periods of time, only showing up when she wishes to torment him, her heart never warming to him, or even his children. Photo: ShyndoahLena_Jay_RenCharacter Name:Kailen ReinAge:A couple hundred and a couple decades roaming and the last couple decades in relatively one place all adding up to a few hundred years. Her appearance however is seventeen.Gender:FemaleRace: VampirePowers: There are some things that come already in the package of being a vampire. A couple would be of course strength and speed, however after the change, a few things in the mind change as well and she has developed something more than just the natural powers most get when becoming a vampire. She found out she had a natural ability with animals around her. She can speak to them as they can speak to her and with one touch of one animal, she can turn into it, but only for a certain amount of time. She may ask an animal to help her, but it doesn't always mean it will do her bidding. With training, perhaps she can morph longer and actually control those who she talks to, but that would take some time.Weaknesses:Sadly, one of her weaknesses is the sun. She loved the sun wen she was growing up but once she change the sun became a deadly enemy. She also cannot manipulate others, which can be trouble when she needs to feed. She has in fact came close to uncovering her race a couple times. Another weakness would be the fact that she can't eat, well.. nothing other than blood anyway. Oddly enough, most vampires can eat human food but it does nothing for them, for her, if she eats regular food, it makes her sick and moments later she will be puking up blood.Personality:She is full of contradictions. She is pretty straight forward with what she wants to say and yet she holds back, not sure if she should say it. She will think something but not do it, imagine it even but it won't happen. She is soft at hard but tries to show her strength.Bio:She was born the youngest in her family, but right off the bat the was put to work. Her family, the Osgood's, were hard working farmers in the mid 1800's. They didn't get much pay though they worked from dawn until dusk everyday except Sunday. Their life was simple and happy. She had two brothers and three sisters, so including her parents, it was hard to get food every night, but they did eat. The first to go was of course her oldest brother. He had some problems of his own and ended up getting 'adopted' by her parent's consent to another man. He seemed happy. Though little Kailen was only five then, she still worried about her older brother. Even though he had his problems, she did look up to him. He hung on throughout the day when most others wouldn't and she liked that most about him. He would visit here and there and Kailen would make sure she had the chance to at least say hello, but most of the time she was put to work just like the others. The farm was doing better after her brother left, but they were still poor. Her biggest joy in life was when her brother came home to visit and she saw how well he was doing, but... after a while.. He just stopped coming. The farm was getting worse; the plants were dying, the animals were getting sick, and soon her whole family was coughing up blood. Her mother was first. She was younger than her father but she had more work in her bones than he did, therefore she was also weaker. Her last moments were tragic. After that, they seemed to count down from there form her father to her other brother to her sisters. She got sick once as well, but oddly she made it through. Either way, it was terrible and though she alone tried to save the farm, everything just kept dying. The whole village was a catastrophe. She was seventeen at the time. It ended like that, her whole family dying. Some out of country men came and burned the place down. They didn't want the disease to spread. She was the only one left. She of course escaped the fire, or she wouldn't be alive at the moment, but she still didn't escape the disease. Only a few days after she ran from the flamed village, the sickness hit her. She was on her way to one of the surrounding villages a few days away. She hoped to gather peace there and a better life of work and hopefully joy. She still had a day to go, but now she couldn't move. She laid on the ground by a tree, blood running down her chin, dark thoughts running through her head. I'm going to die. We are all dead, me with them.. "Do you want to live?" She didn't realize a man was speaking to her, that he was there in front of her. He shook her and forced her gaze up. He was pale with piercing green eyes. His hair was a deep black. He was like no other. She never saw anyone like him, well except for that man who took her brother away. They had similarities that she couldn't comprehend. "Do you wish to live child!" She gave a small nod, the agreement. The one thing she can never turn back on. He leaned forward, stuck fangs in her throat and all went black.
The initial change was harmful, but what hurt most is the knowledge of what she was afterward. She never thought such things existed and when she went hysteric, the man who created her gave a small laugh. For the first fifty years she stayed by his side, though he was sadistically insane, she had nowhere else to go, no one to go to, and being as she was, she had no clue what to do with her life. She was lucky enough to be with him though. He wasn't truly a bad person, they traveled a lot, a kill here and there on the way, but killing wasn't so bad when you had the strength and will to and he gave her a new life, let her change her name, her personality even if she wished. She was free to do just about whatever, but still, there were differences between them. Her personality didn't change much. She didn't like moving around too much, but was ecstatic about moving from place to place. Complete opposites, but what could she do? In the end, he would have left her anyway. Dusk was coming and she slept in a shallow cave. He just up and left, leaving a note behind. She was in New York, alone, with no one to guide her. Now she just has to find a way to make her own life.Photo: Kailen

Human Profiles Username:Lady Elizabeth Greyfox Character Name:Davinh Marie Ried Age:21 Gender:Female Race: Human Personality:Curious as Alice, and every bit as prone to disregarding good advice. She's a bit of a rebel and finds that her new age helps in getting her into trouble. College is there for laughs and being able to be certified to ******** up your car and put it back together, she doesn't take anything too seriously there. With a grin in place, it's hard to see the vulnerability under her lean shell. Bio:When Davinh was young, she was in an accident that took everything, including her memory, away from her. She grew up in the care of a couple who couldn't have children of their own. When she was twelve, her mother died of ovarian cancer that advanced too quickly. Now she helps her father in his auto shop while becoming certified herself. To unwind, she does all sorts of crazy things, from cliff diving to illegal street racing. Photo: Davinh___________________________________ Username: xDaishox Character Name: Max Ryder Age: Twenty-three Gender: Male Race: Human Personality: Max is one of those people who live during the night. His scene is in clubs and in the red light district. He's pretty apathetic to most things and goes along with most of everything, giving him a constant air of nonchalance. Sometimes he can be a bit of a playboy, but only because no one seems to hold his interest for long. A habit he ended picking up from his home in the suburbs was his fascination in observing people and trying and figure out what they're really like, perhaps what they do during the day, or what kind of trouble they could be having in their life. This is usually only ever mentally however, and more often than not he's wrong.
One of his biggest passions is for music. He loves to sing and be up on a stage, stealing the spotlight whenever possible. Also, something he doesn't tend to do it much since he's on his own, but every now and then a night of intoxication through alcohol is right up his alley. Max can't stand to be in the presence of people with too many worries or people that are too uptight - they often tend to ruin his mood. He also hates it when it rains.
One thing that he finds completely absurd are all mythical things. Ghosts, werewolves, vampires - you name it, he thinks it's all just a bunch of fairytales and folklore. Bio: Max left his parents as soon as he could, wanting to be independent. He had originally come from a boring suburban town, which drove him half mad simply for the fact that he knew he belonged in a big city. After moving to New York City in search of opportunities, Max got a solid job with good pay singing every weeknight at a bar, but he's looking to further his career in music and make it big with his band. Recently though the main guitarist left his band, and their drummer has been having family issues. For some extra money he sometimes gambles and sometimes goes for a job as a host of some sort. He's not necessarily on bad terms with his parents, but he doesn't often talk to them. His reasoning is that they don't support him. They'd expected him to go to school and graduate form university, so when he'd moved to New York instead, they were disappointed to say the least. He also finds them too boring to even bother to hang around. Photo:Can You Hear Me Now?__________________________________________ Username: IRRATIONALnumbers Character Name: Lucine Halle Moore Age: Twenty Gender: Female Race: Human Personality: She's sickeningly charming. Lucy has a way with words and a sharp tongue. She's not physically violent, but she has a tendency to lash out on occassion. A sore loser, she'll always manage a smile. Her mannerisms are always strange and her train of thought isn't hard to read. Her expressions can easily tell you how she's feeling. She's stubborn and would deny insecurity in a heart beat unless it might some how lead to her garnering some dominance over another. Calm, and cool, people like her more for her level headed way of thinking, but her intriguingly adventurous nature. She is the sort of person able to say one thing and do another. Lucy's a hypocrit, and rejects her own advice. Her thrill-seeking nature gets her into trouble a lot of the time but she doesn't care, to her, thrills are worth taking dangerous risks. Bio: Lucine is from out of town, but she often tries to go out and venture in towns other than her own. One place isn't enough her, it never had been. She was kicked out of her home the day she turned eighteen. Her parents had been tired of her know-it-all attitude. Besides that, she rarely stayed there anyway. She was the girl who would spend every day at another friends house, going out and partying until she found herself lying awake at home and on her bed. She hadn't had the best of friends, but they were good to her. She'd take the fall for them some times, and they would do the same. No one took advantage of her, suprising, considering she'd a horrid flirt, and that had left her with a naive trust and a careless opinion of humanity. She was never fearful to take risks, she might even go cliff jumping if you bet her enough. Well, maybe not that, but you probably get the point, she's wild. Photo: Check, check, check me out. I'm diving off the deep end. __________________________ Username: Ph.nxCharacter Name: Lyssa Ezra VoAge: twenty oneGender: femaleRace: HumanPersonality: Lyssa can be your best friend or your worst nightmare. She has been known to be a bit of a spitfire, often getting into fights with other girls at school when she was younger. Often one to throw punches before asking questions, its not too hard to light her fuse and watch her ignite. She likes to block out anything that questions her reality and so she is a firm non-believer in anything supernatural. Lyssa dislikes most people at first impressions, but can warm up a little towards someone if they are persistent and at least try to be on her good side. Bio:Lyssa was born the oldest of the Vo girls. Thus expectation for her was paramount. There was never any slack, and all the rules were a little harder for her. Of course, this made her rebellious. It made her want to do things her own way, it made her dislike her younger sisters for having it easier. In fact, Lyssa really would have been far happier an only child. As the years went on she became closer with her sisters, especially when tragedy struck her.
When Lyssa was eighteen, she got knocked up. Yes, her casual fling with a local married man caused her to get a bun in the oven. Of course demanding that he divorce his wife and marry her, leave his childless marriage and come be a family with her ended in tears. When she had a miscarriage at 6 months it was devastating for her. She would never live down the humility of the situation, she lost the man she thought she loved, and lost his unwanted child. It ruined her for a good year.
Still with a couple issues when it comes to her past, she left her parents house in the small town in Texas she moved to the big city...all the way across the country, New York. Here she started a job as a retail assistant and runs the town at night still dealing with her issues by self medicating with alcohol. Photo: In The Mirror

Despite not really enjoying the snow's intrusiveness when he needed to go out Dekell rather liked the winter months. When there wasn't snow to reflect the harsh rays the days were easier to tolerate, and night came sooner. Today there was snow, which laid heavy on the ground, even making the nights a bit brighter, bouncing the moonlight back. The days, while cold, were a bit warmer then one would assume simply because of the snow. Still, Dekell took the precaution of not leaving is home until the sun started it's way down from it's high point in the sky.
Dekell usually turned in at the wee hours of the morning and rose just after noon warmed his house. He went through his routing of checking on his son, then showering. Today was no different. A mild panic attack on his son's part did make Dekell bring his son along to the club today.
In the back, where the dressing rooms and offices were on the first floor Dekell sat Johnathan in his very own office. The youthful looking vampire slid down into his father's chair and settled into for a day of cruising the internet. Dekell went out into the club on the main floor, making his rounds of checking up on every little thing.

Here's a lullaby to close your eyes... 『❀』 ...It was always you that I despised. Vivienne sighed as she walked down the sidewalk. She was coming from school. Her head was pounding and she thought that a nice nap would do. Unfortunately, once she got home she had to shower and get ready to head out with friends. Maybe the shower would do her well though. She could take a nice hot one to thaw out from the cold and then she could blow-dry her long red hair to make it all shiny and straight like her friend Nadia liked it. She wondered where they intended to go tonight. She was sure there'd be lots of loud music and dancing. She liked that part about going out. She'd pass on the getting smashed though. She drank a little, but she wasn't a particular fan of the taste of alcohol. She let herself in to her apartment, fumbling with the keys because of her cold, numb fingers. It was getting dark now and it made her glad. She functioned better at night for some reason. "Oh come on." She muttered as she grasped the key between bare fingers. She couldn't get the lock to turn all the way. "Need help?" The familiar voice of her neighbor two apartments over caught her attention. She smiled at him and shook her head, feeling a pang of anger. "No, I've got it." She said as she looked back at the lock. "Thanks though." She added, maybe a little too quickly. With a little more coaxing, she finally got the lock to go and she slipped inside. She sighed as the door shut behind her. She threw her keys on the table beside the door and her bag on the couch. "Home sweet home..." She muttered as she walked further into the apartment. Time for a shower. She headed into her bathroom and started the water. She made sure it was good and hot before she undressed and stepped in. She let the hot water thaw her out. It was freezing outside. There was snow all over the place as well. She wondered when that was going to melt away. It was warmer than you'd expect outside, despite the snow on the ground. She still hated it though. As soon as she was good and cleaned up, she stepped out of the shower, turning it off and wrapping a towel around her. She then plugged up the hair dryer and turned it on. She began working with her hair. It was a nuisance, but it was worth it with the end results. Next it was off to her bedroom where she picked out some clothes to wear and put them on. She then did her makeup up nice and pulled her hair into a French twist. Now all she had to do was wait for Nadia to call and say they were on their way to get her.

~Aya~With a slight shine in her icy sapphire eyes, Aya was on the move, her lacy black umbrella in hand and over her head to protect her from the very last rays of light. As usual she wore her leather pants and a tight but also loose midnight blue shirt, her long wavy black hair sitting lightly on her shoulders.
It was around this time that she would take a stroll down some ominous ally way and figure out what to do. There isn't a whole lot for a vampire to do at night, well except when you get creative. She could go from house to house and drain every drop of blood until her stomach was bulged. She could walk to a small corner store and slaughter everyone then laugh as the blood drips from her fingers. She could even walk up to an unknown man, kick him where the sun doesn't shine, then walk off, but but that wasn't her. Yes, that is in the nature of the vampire, a killer, a blood drinker, but just because something is in your nature doesn't mean you have to act like some psycho murderer that you see everyday on the news. She was more sophisticated, at least she would hope. Point is, she doesn't go house to house killing humans, instead, she usually heads to the woods on the far outskirts of town and chase down some deer. She loved to chase the wilderness. Much more fun than chasing a slow human.
Today however, she happen to find herself at a club. She's heard the name and that it also caters to her kind, but has never really passed by it. So on a whim, she turns her foot and heads for the awaiting door.

Young Johnathan sat at his father's computer in the office on the first floor. He could feel the energy of the monsters around them. True he was one himself, and it scared him, his own energy would flare and receede and frighten the poor boy at times. It had been so long that time and care had helped him control his outbursts to the fear. He had trouble talking to people in person, being face to face with someone was a little much for Johnathan to handle all the time. So, while on the computer, he navigated himself to a chat room and managed to talk there for a while. He did have one or two that he'd frequent, but sometimes he'd become adventurous and hunt for a new one. This was the case tonight. He typed into a search engine some keywords, clicked around and then came across one. He logged in with one of his older screen names from two years prior, he entered the chatroom as, "Jack_be_nimble".
Dekell on the otherhand was making his rounds, talking to a few people here and there, chatting with workers and patrons alike. He made people feel welcome was an invisable caress of his will on their minds. Using magic was a good way to keep the money coming in. He never forced someone's idea of the place to change, but incouraged them to be in a good mood. Psychology could do the rest.
Outside Aya might just feel a soft beckoning as she neared the club. Would she want to dance? Would she want to figure out what this place was about? Perhaps her curiousity would stir, urging her on. As she entered, if she entered, she'd be met by a metal detector and a pair of bouncers. One was muscle bound, the other a bit more average, but both held an intimidating vibe around them. If she could tell, neither was human. As people passed through the metal detector the bouncers would give them a once over before letting them in, passing handheld dectectors over anyone who beeped. A few people ahead of Aya would be let in after beeping just fine, but one would be stopped.
"Turn out your pockets," The larger bouncer said in a stern voice.
"Uhh... I..." The young man stammered for a moment. That's when the second bouncer stepped forward. Anyone who could feel the magic crackling through the air would know he was doing something. Talking to his mind? Forcing his will? What he was doing wouldn't be clear at this point. However, soon he spoke.
"Please check all hazardous items at the coat check," he said pointing to an alcove where a pair of young women sat talking to each other, behind them a room with coats and shelves. The bouncer continued, "All that you need will be supplied. Thank you." And with that, of his own accord, the young man walked over, pulling a knife out of his pocket and checked it like it was a coat with the two women, one writing it down in a large book, taking his name and giving him a number, the other moving to some place in the large closet of a room, to put it away safely.
Next would be Aya's turn to pass through the metal detector.

Here's a lullaby to close your eyes... 『❀』 ...It was always you that I despised. Vivienne grinned when her cell phone played 21st Century Breakdown. It was Nadia calling to tell her to meet her at the curb. She threw on some heels and grabbed her purse and keys. This was going to be an okay night at least. She'd unwind, dance, have a few drinks, laugh with her friends, it'd be like high school only a little classier. She headed out, making sure to lock her door, and skipped down to the curb where she could see Nadia pulling up in her 1967 Cadillac Convertible. She loved that car, and had always threatened that one day she was going to steal it. Nadia kept her happy by letting her drive it. This time though, she didn't let her. She had some new boyfriend in the passenger seat. Oh the evil ways her friend hooked men. "Who's this bottom feeder?" She teased lightly with a smile as she climbed in behind them. She always had to giggle when she saw the leopard print pillow in the back, an ode to To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar. It was the movie that had inspired her friend to get this car. "This, my dear, is Daniel Jordan." She said with a smile. "He's a med student." Nadia's green eyes were sparkling with mischievousness. She was being Nadia then, there was no doubt about it. "Ah, nice to meet you, Daniel Jordan." She stuck her hand out to him and her tongue out at Nadia. Nadia only winked and threw the car into drive again. This was going to prove to be an interesting night. After assuring her it was 'just Daniel' they began to talk. Apparently they'd met the same way Nadia met all of her "victims," as she liked to call them. He'd damn near been run over by her. Whenever Nadia wanted a boy toy for a while, you were sure to hear this story. She claimed it was the perfect way to meet a guy; play their knight in shining armor. It always made Vi roll her eyes. Vivienne was more than relieved when they made it to the club. "Envy? I've heard of this place. Why here?" She asked as she stretched her legs and looked around. They hadn't ever been there before. "Daniel said it's a great place to go, right handsome?" Nadia replied, grinning at Daniel. Oh this was going to be a swell night. She'd probably have to call a cab to get home... again. She shook her head as they headed for the door.

~Aya~ Curiosity sparked Aya's mind the night and moment she heard of the club, but the beckoning in her mind made her even more curious. Who would want her to enter so much? No, she wasn't going here to spark all her curiousness of this club she so happened to hear about, nor was she coming here to dance and chat and flirt with any guy who walked by. Yes all those things sound interesting and amusing but she was more curious on why her mind was now even more curious, why there seemed to be an intriguing probing in her mind.
She was next in line and as she walked up to the metal detectors she brought a picket knife out of her back pocket and held it between the two large bouncers.
"This what you're looking for..?"
She gave one shrug, not really minding if they took it form her. It wasn't like she needed it anyway.

The two bouncers chuckled and smiled at the casual display. Not frequently it was that easy for them. The bigger one spoke.
"Yeah. Go to the coat check, they'll hang on to it there for you. When your done head on in." He said with a big smile gesturing to where the last person was guided to.
If she went she'd be greeted by two women one who would take the pocket knife and put it away, the other that would ask her her name, write it down, then tell her a number, which she also jotted down and handed over. She then added, "Usually you don't need the number, it just helps us find it quicker if you are in a hurry."
Other then that she'd get in just fine. Once she came in she'd be greeted by very interesting music. It sounded like modern day gypsies. Up on the stage three girls sang, and one more danced. Their band was two more a guy and a girl. People danced and enjoyed themselves. There was a small seating section of tables and a bar where you could order drinks or some select food items. Passed the dance floor was a set of guarded stairs leading up, then there was a staircase heading down on a far wall.
Dekell had weaved his way through the dancing throng to talk with someone back at the stairs leading up.
