The Other Animated Movies Thread Everyone loves Disney, but what about the other animated movies out there? What about Anastasia, An American Tale, or Sprited Away? This thread is all about the non-Disney animated movies~* Anyone is welcome to review the movie and post their opinion on it. I'll put it under the "Reviews" section. Okay, feel free to post!

MOVIE OF THE MONTH Balto Basically a story about a shunned dog-wolf hybrid who attempts to lead a sled team to transport medicine needed to cure diphtheria despite the prejudices (and abrasive behaviour) of his peers.

I remember An American Tail~! I used to like those movies, I haven't watched them in forever. I even had an American Tail game XP
But I think my favourite non-disney movie would be either Cats Don't Dance or Quest for Camelot. At least those are two movies that I can remember that I like. They were the most recent ones I've watched XP But I really do like them a lot. Oh, I also like Swan Princess, first one the most.

Ooh! I love Cats Don't Dance! And Quest for Camelot is okay too. But my favorite non-Disney movie from my childhood has to be The Iron Giant. I hated it as a kid, but now I've come to realize it's a really great movie!
Anyway... About the subject... An American Tail isn't bad, but it somehow didn't really hit me as a good movie either. I mean, something about the bad guy... He just wasn't really evil, he was just a swindler and a jerk. But I love the song Somewhere Out There! But yeah, I wasn't so into it.

Yeah, that's really the crowning moment of An American Tail, that song.

Yes, Somewhere Out There is the crowning moment of An American Tail. I love An American Tail to death (I'm not quite sure why, myself - probably due to Tony) but I have to admit that even though it was amusing, the second movie was a waste of time. My favorite Don Bluth movie - and possibly favorite of all time - was and will always be The Pebble and the Penguin. I don't care of how much people loathed it, it was the movie that people would put on to shut me up and therefore I watched it at least a hundred times. xd I also love Cats Don't Dance, the Swan Princess, and the Land Before Time. Not the million sequels to the Land Before Time, though.

Ebil and I were having an elaborate conversation about The Pebble and the Penguin the other day...

I think I like up to the third movie of the Land Before Time. I'm not too sure though, I haven't watched them in about seven years.

Let me just say I am a huge anastasia fan but also, we're forgetting Thumbelina! I was so afraid of it as a kid but I watch it all the time now! And Jodi Benson (ariel) does Themubelina's voice smile

Princess-Splatt Ive never actually watched or heard of that film. It's a cute movie and there's even a sequel to go with it. It's something I remember watching as a kid, so I have fond memories of it.
