To the other threads I saw there.
Autistic people arent stupid. and I'm glad you made a thread about it.
also. Autistic people are really awesome unique and fun. can be difficult but its worthwhile to be firneds with them.
people tend to dislike things they dont understand. Which is very unfortunate. Some people have autism worse then others but that doesnt really change the fact that they are still people.
I've been best friends with my Friend since I was 8. I'm almost 18. No Major fights. some difficulties. I'm overprotective of her. She is really awesome and creative. at first when I became friends with her of course it was difficult to understand why she was the way she was. but her mom told me. and now I can understand it. Now her family is basically a second one to me. I really like the way autistic kids work and I get extremely pissed off when people like, put it down. They most likely have atleast one if not more things that are extremely good at. example: my friend is really good at science.
what about you guys? any friends that may be autistic? any experiences? If Karla reads this then YOU ARE AMAZING!

My brother is severely autistic and we were told he would never talk, walk, or sign. I taught him how to walk and sign. Never taught him how to sign love. He signed to me that he loves me. We are also working on sounding out words. He can spell his name, where he lives, and knows his phone number.

But still, they are awesome

My best friend's little brother is severly autistic. He shouldn't be able to talk. My friend and I taught him though. He's now 2 1/2 years old.
