PROBLEM!

i recently researched ancient japanese folklore on foxes and realized that the Kitsune are actually supposed to be the servants of the Inari (i was totally backwards! stressed ) so, i need to either stick with story #1 and screw up japanese folklore (and risk having japanese folklore critics angry at me)or revise the storyline and go with story #2. PLEASE TELL ME WHICH ONE I SHOULD WRITE!

Story #1
~there is a royal family of kitsune (fox spirits)
~Kitsune
-powerful beings that possess extreemely powerful magic
-tails 1-9 represent power (9 is the most powerful)
-(grandfather has 9 tails, father has 8, son has 7 (he is gifted),
youngest daughter has 3, main char. has 0 tails)
~main char. has 0 tails (very clumsy) and is considered a disgrace
-her younger sister gets betrothed to her crush b/c she is
stronger/more talented (more likely to produce stronger bloodline)
~main char. meets the son of an Inari (human servants to the kitsune)
~Inari
-human servants to the kitsune
-can use magic but can only get as powerful as a 0-tailed kitsune (main
char.)
~the Inari boy's magic is extreemly powerful for his race (hides his long ears with his long hair and abnormally long canines by rarely smiling or speaking)
~they both go on a journey to find a powerful wizard kami so that they can fix their problems (she gain magic, he lose his)
~Kami
-kami are wise and ancient spirits that oversee the lands of the kitsune.
-they make the Devine Order of the Kami and enforce it
-their most enforced law is against interracial love (must preserv
bloodlines of say the kitsune so they can only marry other kitsune)
~the two main chars. fall in love (forbidden)

Story #2
~there is a royal family of Inari (not kitsune sweatdrop )
~Inari-powerful beings that possess extreeemely powerful magic
~main char. is a kitsune-a clan of foxes that also posses great magic.
-they can reach a maximum of 9 tails (the strongest)
-a tenth tail lies dormant beneath a seal that the Inari put on the Kitsune to keep the foxes from becoming stronger than themselves
~tails 1-9 represent power (9 is the most powerful)
-(grandfather has 9 tails, father has 8, son has 7 (he is gifted),
youngest daughter has 3, main char. has 0 tails)
~main char. has 0 tails (very clumsy) and is considered a disgrace
~the kitsune serve as servants and guardians to the Inari
~guardians are important because they are the only ones who can fight off the nogitsune-fallen desendants of foxes (evil)
~main Char. is not given to an inari to serve or guard (has 0 tails)
-is a disgrace to her family, runs away in the night
~meanwhile, the prince of the Inari is not given a guardian by the Kami
-his father instructs him to go on a journey to the north to the kami temple and ask for a guardian (this is an important mission, cannot be heir to the throne without a guardian and he is the only son to the king)
~the Inari boy's magic is extreemly powerful for his age(hides his long ears with his long hair and abnormally long canines by rarely smiling or speaking)
~they both go on a journey to find a powerful wizard kami so that they can fix their problems (she gain one to protect, he gain protection)
-they meet up on their journey and are forced to travel together (hate each other's guts

surprised what is this "Dark Armageddon" of which you speak? I would like to read it some day (the title is quite intresting ;D)

btw, which one do you think i should develop??? they are both similar, but they separate stoylines
