So it's up to us, the veiwers, to vote for the winner of TDA. Who will you vote for? Duncan or Beth?
Personally, me being a Duncan fangirl, I'm of course going to vote for him. x3

I have to say I'm a little disappointed they're leaving this choice to their fans. I mean, it's only obvious who's going to win now. There won't be any anticipation; Duncan will win by a huge landslide.
I was assuming Beth would win because she's less popular and she doesn't reappear in TDM, but that theory has been tossed out the window due to this decision to let us vote. Don't get me wrong, I like Duncan a lot too. In fact, I was going to choose him to vote for, but now I just don't know. It doesn't really matter who I choose; Duncan will win and it would be a miracle if Beth does. A humongous and near-impossible miracle.

Beth isn't very popular amongst the fan base. And a majority of the fans prefer Duncan over Beth as well maybe any other character. I actually thought that Beth was going to win, too. It would be like the underdog rising to the top, or something like. I don't think anyone would have expected it. But then again, I didn't really expect a tie, either. I'd still like to see that happen. Maybe I should rethink my vote.

It was a tie. So they're leaving it up to the fans to vote for the winner.

Do you remember how they ended the first season? Since spoilers about Owen's victory were easy to find, they ended the American version with a vote to decide between him and Gwen. And how convenient is it that in a perfectly even 51/49 split of the votes, the original winner won, making it unnecessary to reanimate the ending?
They're probably doing a vote for this season so as not to confuse the american audience, most of which doesn't know the canadian version of ssn 1 had a scripted ending. Regardless of who they plan to use for the winner (I still vote Beth), the votes are likely to be a complete sham.

I Personally HATE Duncan, Even Though It Looks Like We'd Hang Out. Didn't Think He Should Have Gotten That Far First Season Or This Season. Beth...Well She Reminded Me Of A Lot Of Girls At My School, Which Makes Her Preety Cool. I Wish That They Made Her Go Farther 1st Season But...Im Glad She Went This Far, I Really Hope The Votes Are Rigged In Beth's Favor.

So it looks like there's an alernate ending on Cartoon Network's TDA webpage. Perhaps the voting wasn't a sham after all.
Anyway, what did you all think of the season finale?

What did I think of the season finale? Well, I can honestly say I was not expecting a number of things.
Of course the winner was obvious, but I was touched to see how happy Beth was to see her boyfriend, who is in fact real. I had a feeling she was telling the truth, but I'll admit I had doubts and concerns that she just made him up to gain popularity.
Now having the teens give them challenges was just one of the things I hadn't expected. I was amused by Harold's challenge and the ridiculous positions the two had to get into. That's all I really want to say about that because something else has grasped my attention since I saw the episode.
Now being a fan of Chris, I was overly joyed and horrified by the clips they showed of him. I found most of them adorable and hilarious (in my opinion of course) expect for one which I'm sure you can point out... Chris is bald! It shocked me and my sisters. After seeing that, we just stood there with wide eyes in absolute silence (for the three of us are all fans of Chris). We knew for days now that this very episode would expose things about Chris and it caused us a great deal of happiness... and anxiety. We were concerned about seeing things we wouldn't want to see, but never would we have guessed that! If that had not been exposed, I'm sure we would have been bouncing off the walls and screaming like the fan girls we are, but those two seconds of 'exposure' left us quiet. After the episode had ended, we went our separate ways without much said. Normally after an episode, we would be absolute giddy and loud as we talked to one another about what we had just seen. Not this time. We whispered while we tiptoed around the house. Deep down, I felt degraded like I should have been inching my way across the floor like a slug. I was deep in thought trying to process what had been revealed. My mind was reeling over the possibility that what we saw was not real, that it was just a fake clip made to humiliate him. I was recollecting everything I could remember from TDI right up to this recent episode and I searched them all for even the slightest chance that I could be right. I then grew curious and began to question how this even came to be. Oddly enough, my first thought was cancer... -gets shot- Then I questioned if he had been in some sort of horrible accident, if he was always like that, or did he rid of his real hair because it didn't appeal to him. It's possible... I suddenly thought that the number of fan girls would drop drastically for, let's face it, some girls only liked him for his looks and after that episode, I couldn't helping feeling that they'd lose interest. Not me; I liked him for more than just his looks. But I didn't come to accept what I saw; no, I'm still quite in denial. We're all in a denial so deep that we actually believe that what we saw never happened. So if you don't mind, my sisters and I will be seated on the bedroom floor with the lights out all the while chanting in eerie, possessed tones, "His precious hair... His precious hair..." Now I know this must seem a little over dramatic, but I have a tendency to become obsessively and emotionally attached to inanimate objects. And please forgive my long rant. I hope you can understand that this is a TD guild where we post our opinions and thoughts of the show. Care to discuss this with me?
EDIT: I have read on the... um... unreliable source, Wikipedia that it's possible Chris being bald is untrue, but as I stated, Wiki is... unreliable...

There was no doubt in my mind of who the winner would be. I'm happy that Duncan won, but I woudn't have been upset if Beth had won, either. I would have been happy with Beth as the winner, too.
I wasn't really surprised that Beth was telling the truth about her boyfriend. I thought it was kind of predictable how he was unveiled at the end. I figured that they were going to reveal his existence sooner or later. I must say, though, it was a very cute and endearing ending for Beth. :]
To tell the truth, I hadn't expected the other teens to come up with the challenges, either. I had actually expected Chris to be there the whole time to give the tie breaker. I was really amused by Harold's challenge. It reminded me of a Japanese game show. It was funny how Beth and Duncan had to contort their bodies, too. I also enjoyed how Izzy made them both break dance.
Bridgette wasn't lying when she said I'd never be able to look at Chris the same way again. I actually loved the never before seen clips of him. It made me giggle. But I seriously gasped when I saw that he was bald. It was a shock seeing as how he talks about his hair so much. I wonder if this is just a one time gag or if they'll make this an ongoing joke. Like, if they'll mention him being bald in the next season with all of the contestants making fun of him.
I find it rather depressing that the number in fan girls would decrease simply because Chris is bald. I mean, he's still awesome even if he's bald. Just pretend that his wig is his real hair. But my guess is that those fangirls who lose interest in him will probably forget about it and go back to loving him again. And of course, I'm sure that there are fan girls out there who will love Chris no matter what. :3
I must say, I like how you put so much thought into Chris' going bald. I hadn't even thought of the possibilities. Though after reading all of your theories, I came up with a couple of my own. What if Chris pulled a Britney Spears and shaved his head because he doesn't like the way it feels when people touch his head. Or it could just simply be a genetic thing. Like, male baldness runs in his family or something.

Oh yes, Bridgette was most definitely telling the truth. I've been wondering a lot about this 'baldness' of his. Truthfully, I'm hoping they don't show it ever again. I don't mind hearing about it as in the teens poke fun at him about it, so long as I never have to lay eyes upon it... Not trying to be mean, but there are some things I just can't handle seeing... Like people flipping their eyelids. I can't stand that. I'm getting side tracked. Back to my theories. Since we watched the episode on such a small screen (18 inches at most), I can't be certain if I saw everything right. From the little knowledge I have on shaved heads, I would assume that shaved would look something like Heather's head with the fuzz. Chris didn't have that, but that doesn't completely throw out the possibility that he shaved it off. I mean, I don't know much about hair.
I do have this one teacher who has this, um... 'hair problem'. I don't know what you would call it, but whenever she gets stressed, her hair thins very badly. At one point, she just shaved it all off and started wearing wigs. I'm just mentioning this to be a theory.
Since you've mentioned it, my one sister did joke about Chris's father being bald... We know nothing of his family, so we wouldn't know for sure. Maybe it could be genetic.
Or maybe it was pulled off of Britney Spears, but I can't imagine why. Personally, I don't view her to be a very good influence, but the makers of the show did do a lot of spoofs of celebrities.
I assumed it was cancer first because that's usually what comes to mind when I see baldness. I doubt Chris would have cancer, but how can one be absolutely sure?
On top of it all, it could explain why he's so protective of his hair... in fear of it falling off...
Then there's all the things that discourage me to believe he's really bald. Why would he use hair gel if he wears a wig? Makes no sense to me. Feel free to argue otherwise. I would have expected the darn thing to fall off at least once during one of these seasons! Like when they threw him in the lake... I'd say more, but I'm having a brain fart. Thinking too much.
Yeah, I guess fan girls will go on liking him. As for me, I'm going to be in a shocked stage for a while, but I still love him and I'll get over it. I'm just hoping there will be more evidence in the future as to prove whether this is real or not.
