What is this sub forum all about you say? Well since im the type of person to see how things are made instead of reading patterns, i thought that i would make a sub forum on links to videos to see how different things to knit. i get too confused on reading the many different patterns for different things. so if any of you would like to video record yourself making anything, please feel free to add them here. youtube, photobucket or anywhere you put your video links here. Below is an example of what i mean.

Knitting is actually very simple, unless you want to do more advanced stuff. All it is is knit and purl. As soon as I learned purls and yarn-overs, I really took off. xD I'll post links to how I learned when I find them!
You have to start simple, like hats, scarves and things like that. ^-^

yea. but im more of seeing how something is made. like when i fist started knitting. i got really lost reading the instructions. so i went online and found how to do it, and i got the hang of it. so i learn by seeing. i get really impatient if i read it, lol. but yea, please post all kinds of videos. it would be awesome for my to learn to knit different things. so far, all im doing is a baby blanket for my future nephew or niece. and im using a garter stitch, along with a scarf using the same stitch.

I'm exactly the same way!! My mom actually gave me a book to teach me to knit, that's how she learned. And I just didn't understand it... It was all outline-y drawings and stuff too... I'm sure I'll understand it now that I know how to cast on/off, knit, purl, yarn over, K#together, cable, and all that good stuff ^^
