~Story~

In the city of Ramshi, crime is around every corner of every street. There isn’t a day where a car isn’t broken into, a wallet isn’t stolen, a personal item hasn’t gone missing, or even worse, a murdered body hasn’t been discovered. Of course, what else would one expect from a city run by demons, monsters, and the mythical beasts alike. The streets are crawling with cutthroats and bloodthirsty beasts. Officers have a difficult time as it is upholding the law while keeping any humans in the vicinity safe. Any crime reported to them could take weeks, perhaps even months to be processed and taken care of efficiently. That’s where the elusive and ever so tiny detectives agency comes into play. The Shades of Peace Detectives Agency, more commonly referred to as the S.P.D.A. deals a critical blow to any wrong doers while solving mysteries that the officers of the law fail to perform. The name is only given to those who are not afraid to silence even the ruthless of criminals into a deep slumber from which they may never awaken in order to keep the city at peace. The agents themselves are highly skilled at what they do to maintain the effectiveness, if not the honor, of their somewhat known agency. It is essential that crimes are solved and the matter with the clients settled within a few days time. Rarely does a case go unsolved for more than a week. All this is done to ensure that the S.P.D.A. stays hidden from the very eyes of the people they hunt as they solve the mysteries in Ramshi.

Extra about the Story:
The idea was inspired by another detective roleplay by the name of a gaian i cannot remember, but will research the name of later today >.> in a guild that is no longer active where all the roleplays were deleted.

~Character Profiles~

Gaian Name: Aura_Tenchi
Character Name: Shila Miamoto
Gender: Female
Actual Age: Unknown
Appearance Age: 21
Race: Lycan (superior form of a werewolf)
Appearance: Shila
wolf form
Personality: Shila is a kind-hearted girl who enjoys nothing more than the peace, tranquility, and quality time spent with her friends. She tends to be the quiet type, sometimes analyzing the situation for multiple possibilities and outcomes before choosing a course of action. Well, that is to say, this is her personality when she doesn’t snap. Although Shila tends to appear to be the type of girl any man would like to protect, the moment things get out of hand, her personality changes to a loud-mouth, demanding, and violent type. She will by no means hesitate to fire off a few rounds of her dual pistols at an ally to get them to follow orders.
History: Shila’s parents are out of country. When they felt she reached an appropriate age to take care of herself, they abandoned the girl along with her sister. There were few times they got together on holidays to make sure there children weren’t dead, but other than that, they show little to no compassion on how the girl’s led their lives, which would easily explain the tension that can easily be felt around the family when there is a reunion. Before then, Shila felt close to her father, as opposed to her mother, whom her sister felt close to. She envied his power and strength, of which she would one day inherit. When she was abandoned, she craved to get stronger to protect her younger sister. That was when she became fascinated with law enforcement. Unfortunately, due to her sudden changes in personality, it wasn’t an option she could take. It was then that she set eyes on a small detective agency. The agency, willing to accept almost any help due to it being so small and low on workers at the time, eagerly hired the girl and trained her to better handle the situations around her, as well as improve her aim with a gun. It came to no surprise that after a few years, the girl had exceptional aim and could then wield two pistols.
Weapon: Dual pistols
Powers/Abilities: Enhanced strength, reflexes, agility, and durability. In her wolf form, Shila has heightened senses and excellent tracking skills due to her sensative sence of smell.
Likes: meat, her little sister, and the full moon.
Dislikes: arrogant and cocky men, silver, and anyone who threatens her little sister.
Theme Songs: Headstrong- Trapt
Famous Last Words- My Chemical Romance
Little Wonders- Rob Thomas
Other: Shila was ably to push back her hatred towards vampires enough to work within the same organization as them; however, she by no means hides her dislike for them when partnered with them.

Gaian Name: Super-Wasabi-Man
Character Name: Devar
Gender: Male
Actual Age: Unknown
Appearance Age: None
Race: Biomechanical/Arcane Technology.
Appearance:
human
machine
Personality: Devar, when human, was compassionate, comforting and virtuous, as well as powerful, awe-inspiring and courageous. He could take command of any situation and complete any given task with efficiency. He was also humble, gracious and respectful. In his present state, Devar’s personality is one of a respectful servant, intent on fulfilling his duty. He will voice his opinion if it is asked. If it is not, he will continue with commands and instructions without question. He has no physical expression, but will express his emotions and feelings, verbally, on the rare occasion that he feels it necessary. Through the countless years of his mechanical existence, his emotions have become calloused.
History: Devar, once held the position of “High General of the 6th Legion” in the armies of a country now long forgotten. He fell in battle, run through by a lance. His life was lost, but scientists teamed with a handful of mages somehow preserved his heart and brain – and placed them within a mechanical body. This body was not run by electricity or fuel, but instead by a self-replenishing “essence” of arcane energy, implanted directly into his heart. Every 10 years, he “shuts down” and rests, absorbing solar energy directly from the sun and the weaker energy from the moon, replenishing his internal power source. The machine that was now Devar, held all of his experience, his training, his judgement and expert combat tactics. He became a tool, a weapon – a weapon that was “inherited” by each nation as the previous fell. With each nation and society that inherited Devar, he was refitted, taken apart and pieced back together with various upgrades. 13 years before now, Devar’s “Owners” at the time were killed, and he has roamed the dangerous streets of Ramshi since then, searching for a new owner, a new mission and a purpose.
Weapon: Sword and Shield.
Powers/Abilities: Flight (60 minute sustain). Enhanced strength. Enhanced speed. Robotic eyes fit with various sensors and magnification modifications. Increased learning ability.
Likes: Success, People, Logical reasoning and instruction, polishing his armor.
Dislikes: Failure, injustice, illogical reasoning and instruction, mud.
Theme Songs: "Chrono Cross ~Scars of Time~"
Other: He wears a large cloak with a hood, dark and tattered, to avoid drawing attention to himself. He has become more of a machine then a man at this point, but deep inside, he wants to be human once more.

Gaian Name: Zeine
Character Name: Aizen Mericks
Gender: Male
Actual Age: 87
Appearance Age: 25
Race: Genetically Altered Human
Appearance: Aizen
Personality: Aizen holds a rather cold tendency to his character. His actions are almost always out of personal gain or towards the objectives he desired to reach, whether or not they were what was required. He wasn't mean exactly, or at least he wouldn't go out of his way to torment others. Most of the time he kept himself reserved, only speaking when it was necessary or if felt willing enough to do so. Other than this, he also had somewhat of a cocky attitude. In his mind, his abilities were always above that of which they were tested against. Anyone or thing that failed to meet his expectations were immediately cast aside as weaklings. Due to his genetic alterations there are times where he experiences an advanced stage of aggression.
History: He had grown up as any young boy had. Toys at five, bike at eight, girlfriend at sixteen, a new one the next year. Everything about him could be defined as the average life of a young, growing man. He lived as a single child under a nice, comforting home owned by two loving parents. While he was nothing out of the ordinary, his parents were quite the opposite. Decades of wisdom between them, the pair were some of the most intelligent beings on the planet. They worked as scientists in a high-tech organization and were in the field of human evolution, currently working on a project that involved enhancing the race's ability to adapt dramatically. When they were close to a breakthrough of a chemical that could do just what they dreamed, the company closed their department, feeling that it was too much spent on chances. Not too long after the couple died from overexposure to the radiation of their experiments. Aizen had just finished his military training at this time, but had been dismissed from duty to return home. Feeling compelled to succeed with what his parents had been so close to achieving, the twenty one year old man spent the next four years studying his parents profession. Eventually, he found the missing step. After finally creating the concoction the only thing left now was to test it. After various testing in several animals concluding positively, the last subject had to be human. It was only fitting that he himself would do it. Only, something went wrong and the dosage was much larger than safe. The result left Aizen hospitalized for only a week. Feeling the Genetic Amplifier was too dangerous of a project to continue, he decided to abandon the whole thing. After rejoining the military, he discovered that he was able to thing much easier than before and far exceeded the abilities of his peers. His strength and speed were far above that of the normal human and continued to increase even beyond that. He was able to survive impossible things such as several rounds to the chest which pierced his organs, but he recovered fully in merely a day. The next six decades he spent serving under the uniform, looking and feeling exactly how he did sixty years ago if not stronger. Another side effect from the drug. It was then that he tired of the way the government choice to use his abilities and how they were slowly moving more towards political battles. Leaving the military behind him, he left to find something that was more to his interests. This eventually let him to the city of Ramshi. Infected with crime and creatures he had only heard of, he decided that he would purge these things from the face of the Earth. In order to do so efficiently, he joined the agency known as the SPDA.
Weapon: Desert Eagle 50. and Hand to Hand combat
Powers/Abilities: Superhuman strength and speed, able to survive a high threshold of damage and recover quickly from life threatening situations.
Likes: Fighting, Money
Dislikes: Those who are weak, annoyances
Theme Songs:
You're Gonna Go Far Kid -The Offspring
Sandstorm - Darude
New Divide - Linkin Park
Other: Though Aizen is exceptionally skilled in the use of firearms he almost rarely uses them, preferring to fight up close.

History: Benjamin grew up on the lower west side of a large city, his family held many things in this city. His father being a figure head in one of the city’s more predominant corporations, Ben had his run of the city, and his run of the cybernetic enhancements people of this particular city seemed to enjoy so very much. The top models all implanted within the boy all around the age of twelve. Upgrades came here and there as his body outgrew the cybernetic tech. around the age of thirteen Ben got caught up in a gang. Money laundering, Stealing, Murder, Rape. You name it, this gang was notorious for it. Using his fathers influence within the city Ben grew to be a top dog within this gang. When Benjamin turned sixteen his father cut him off the purse strings so to speak, cast from his family it twisted this mellow boy into near pure malice. He was a punk, cast out of civilization, cast out of his family. This wouldn’t beat him though, he continued to grow in influence and power himself becoming addicted to the crime scene. Around the time Ben was 20 his gang had been busted, the police and FBI were cracking down hard. Fleeing from his inevitable fate if he stayed behind of going to prison for many many years Ben came to Ramshi. A year into this hide away Ben became cruel, just as the world had treated him.
Weapon:
- Honekazari No Tachi A katana that is sheathed on Ben’s left hip.
Cybernetics and enhancements:
cranium based enhancements:
- Electromagnetic Cognition Digitizer: Required for any wearer of a Cranial CPU. This electrical chip fits snugly on the base of the neck, beneath the spine, and converts all cognitive information (sight, hearing, smelling, touch, and taste) into an electrical signal for analysis by the CPU. This also decreases the time for information to be processed, and therefore allows the wearer an increased reaction time.
- Neurostructure: Replacement neural fibers that increase synapse speed and improve the natural senses by a multiplier of 10. Some neurostructures are designed for a specific sense.
- Optical Tracking Structure: A great tool for sharpshooters, this device consists of a network of gyroscopic motion detectors laced into the length of the arm to track the direction in which the hand is pointed down to a thousandth of a degree. When holding a weapon in hand, the information is sent directly to the cranial CPU and relates to the wearer where their mark is without having to use a traditional reticule. Wearers who have a HUD can actually see where their mark is, making then extremely accurate shooters without having to undergo much training.
Musculature and appendage based enhancements:
- Technoarm: A prosthetic, mechanical arm that resembles a human arm perfectly, although much stronger. [Two Points]
- Electromuscles: For those who don’t have the money to purchase a full replacement techno-appendage, these replacement implants are fitted to replace nearly any muscle in the body and are designed to fuse seamlessly with bone and tendon material, increasing the strength of the wearer although not the rigidity of the body. This device has proliferated in the adult entertainment industry, allowing erotic performers to move for several hours without tiring.
Organ based enhancements:
- Responsive Electrolung: This implant is a full organ replacement and can either replace one or both lungs. Like the assault chemoheart, this implant is designed to react to the increased stress levels of the wearer by maximizing oxygen conversion during times of peak physical activity. The increased oxygen improves awareness as well as stamina and endurance. This is much different from the bionic preserver lung and serves a completely different purpose.
Theme Songs: Waking the Demon- Bullet For My Valentine.
Other: N/A

Gaian Name: what_lurks_in_the_dark
Character Name: Xavier
Gender: Mostly Male.
Actual Age: Well, he estimates himself to be around seven hundred, but he doesn't know for certain.
Appearance Age: Usually around the early twenties.
Race: No one knows this for certain, not even Xavier. He is a combination of several different things. Kind of a wraith that when his body is killed he takes over another and brings with him several abilities. Some call him a Shift because that seems to best describe what he is...
Appearance: This is the natural form of his current body, and usually Xavier sticks to it, but whenever the impulse strikes he can change his form how ever he pleases. Including to his own natural form.
Personality:Xavier is a creature of his own whims. He does what he wants when he wants, and for right now he wants to be a detective. he is an old hand at this, he's done it in several incarnations, and done some time on the opposite side of the law as well. Xavier is more the guy you go to when you want to know something than the guy you ask to do something. He takes part in what he wants to, and needs no asking to do so when he's going to.
When dealing with Xavier it's best to think of him as water or air, or most accurately fire. You can guide it, but you cannot control it. Try and it will turn on you. What Xavier is good at he can be relied on for. Xavier is very introverted as well, very picky about who he spends any time with, so if he acknowledges you and spends time with you, then you can consider yourself an interesting person because Xavier does not like to waste his time with boring people.

History: No one knows where Xavier comes from. When he speaks of it, you get the feeling though, that it was not a very pleasant place. Xavier describes the place he comes from as a black place, full of the wildness of the elements and the fears of man. It is a place of eternal hunger, not unlike hell, but not hell. More like a sort of purgatory. He clawed his way out of it and soon found himself in the bright new world. He was a shadow, a spiritual entity with no host, and his first body was that of an eagle. He still favors them, but found that the human body was more conducive to the needs he was presented with.

When Xavier first took a host it did not last long. The abilities he brings with him and the effort of sustaining such a vast consciousness burn through the body's energy like fire, and so Xavier has to eat constantly in order to remain. He eats and eats and eats, and when he cannot eat his body cannibalizes itself in an effort to sustain him, and if he goes any longer than a day without eating, he winds up consuming all of his body and the body dies.

The process of dying is one that Xavier has experienced many times. His ability to leave the body does not make him detached from it. When he inhabits a body it becomes his body, and he hates dying as much as any one else, and feels the pain of the body as much as any other.
In his early years, Xavier had a very hard time living with the rest of the world. He had to be constantly eating and so he came across as rather freaky to the early humans. He was killed by mobs more than once. He is rather glad of this newer acceptance of the strange, and though he is a constant drain on the funds of the detective agency he has joined, his knowledge and services are quite worth it.

Weapon: Xavier is not limited in his range of weapons. He can use whatever is at hand, change his body however he wishes, and use nearly any weapon at hand. He does carry on his person a pair of daggers though for convenience's sake.
Powers/Abilities: Xavier can shape shift, change hosts (thus surviving death), and eat enormous amounts of food. In addition you could say that he has the ability to consume any amount of alcohol and not get drunk. His body burns through it too fast. He also brings with him a huge amount of knowledge. When dying though it takes him a few hours to leave the body, to recover from the death shock, and then when he finds a new host it takes him a few more hours to gain control. During these few hours within the new host, he can be expelled fairly easily using any religious artifact that you believe in and pressing it directly between the eyes. It hurts like no other for Xavier, but after wards an hour he recovers and move on to another. So far no one knows how to send him back to where he came from and he is very very glad of this.
Likes: Food. It does not matter what, if it is not deadly then he is happy to eat it. He also likes interesting people and difficult cases. And if you are a good chef who also happens to be interesting, you have earned yourself a constant companion.
Dislikes: Where he came from. Annoying and dull people. People trying to force him to do what he does not want to do. Dying. Religious artifacts. Being hungry.

It was early morning with the sun yet to break over the dark city when, a pair of footsteps could be heard running down a puddle filled alley as a figure darted into the steam filled air. The owner of the steps would have been clearly seen had the pipe that was attached to one of the buildings not been busted open the previous night. However, the fog filled air seemed to provide the perfect look to a city as rotten as Ramshi.

After a few moments, the loud footsteps came to a slow halt in front of a somewhat hidden door. With the quick jiggle of the handle, the door was flung open, and the figure was immediately illuminated in both light and warmth. After quickly stepping into the building, the door slowly closed, taking with it any heat and luminosity it brought to the small, steam filled alley just moments before.

Inside the building, the figure, a female lycan known as Shila, shook off any remaining cold in her body and lowered her hand, which contained a file of paperwork from her chest. She had just returned from finishing up her errand. All that was left was to fill out the paper work involving the newly finished case and be reassigned to the next mission. With that thought, Shila hurried over to the front desk to sign in and see if anyone would cover the paper work for her.

Far off in the streets of Ramshi, a cloaked figure walked the dark roads. The early morning was quickly fading away, and as the sun took it's time in showing it's light, fog saturated the city. The figure carried on, with a slight "clink" of metal ringing with each step. Devar had woken 3 years ago, emerging from his dormant state of replenishment and he stumbled upon this city. He came to Ramshi in search of a purpose, a master, a reason to live.

As Devar walked on, he passed many creatures who seem to have "infested" the city. Winged creatures, devilish figures, claws, fangs, eyes filled with evil - and much more, were seen by Devar.

Though his instincts screamed to kill many of these creatures who watched him intently as he passed, he refrained and continued walking, looking over the inhabitants of the city. One hand rested on a concealed sword, resting in it's sheath. He was on guard.

After signing in and dropping off her paperwork to a half raven demon boy in a room close to the entrance, Shila made her way to the staff room. It was too early in the morning for her to jump on another case without a cup of chai latte tea. Her ears perked up at the sounds of hands typing away at keyboards and mild conversations in some of the rooms as she passed buy. It was a slow start, yet the agency was slowly coming to life. And what another expectedly busy day it was to be, or so Shila hoped. It was difficult to find work when the agency had to be discreet in much of their work. She wasn't even sure how the place managed to get started when it was somewhat of an under-the0table agency. She was sure she heard the story once or twice, hard to believe, yet it had been so long ago that she'd joined, the girl didn't seem to remember the finer details of it all.

The room seemed silent when she first stepped in. The only sound she could hear was the soft humming of the refrigerator in the corner and the buzzing of the vending machine next to it. It seemed no one had gone in for a brew of something hot to drink as of yet. Shila personally preferred it that way. Some of the members were lazy with the coffee machine and left residue on the item often. Of course everything was cleaned to the best of it's ability every night, but that wasn't to say that there weren't a few arguments here and there throughout the day that made cleaning the coffee pot less important the cleaning and repairing the entire room itself. Hurrying to the pot, Shila put in her container of chai tea mixture and started the machine, listening with excitement as the clicking and pouring sounds rang in her anxious ears. She'd have to report to the boss to get her next mission, which she was sure there had to have been at least one, even this early in the morning.

Devar continued on his path as the sun now faintly shone over Ramshi, in some places piercing through the fog. He was now passing through an area which could be called a market, though the items there were out of the ordinary. He chose to walk through the rows of stalls and see what was for sale - he needed a few things.

The first stall was being run by a creature who appeared to be a frog, though it was standing on two legs and smoking a pipe. The frog was selling fish, chunks of meat and what seemed to be ... body parts, some even human. Devar passed this stall rather quickly. The second stall was run by a small impish girl, who looked directly at him with a "smile", though fangs were clearly visible within it's lips. He looked over the goods, and grabbed a whetstone along with a few pieces of scrap-metal, and looked to the imp. A low voice with a mechanical undertone spoke, simply "How much?". The imp, in a voice that appeared to female responded "10 for all of it". Devar reached into his cloak, and a gold coin was placed into the imp's outstretched hand. The imp smiled, and Devar turned away.

He left the marketplace, having all that he needed - and continued forward through the city. He eventually came to an alley filled with steam. He sat with a "clank" against one side of the alley, opposite a door. Devar sat for a moment and then put himself on standby.

A near naked man rolled over in his bed, with a sharp yawn he rubbed his eyes. His eyes flicked open the slightest of buzzing noises could be heard as the mechanical irises sprang to life taking in light so Mr. Streea could see properly. The whole process only took moments of Ben's eyelid's opening however. The morning light of a nearby window pouring over Ben's head arousing him from his slumber quite a bit earlier than his usual routine.
The man looked over, looking at the time. "******** that." he said rolling over, pulling the blanket over himself and lazily drifting back to sleep.

Upon finishing her drink, Shila disposed of the cup quickly. The company was forced to switch from glass to paper a few years back to cut back on the cost of repairing broken glasses. Not wanting to run into anyone just yet, the young lycan hurried to the boss's office where most of the cases were spoken over, and knocked three times before letting herself in.

"Shila. How good it is to see you so early. I take it you had another successful case? You do this office some good justice." The voice that replied was deep and soothing. The owner of the building, of course, had to look somewhat attractive when taking on cases, as to not scare anyone who may have been human asking for some help. He was a tall and well-respected man with pointed ears. Shila had always thought of him as an elf, for he had similar characteristics as one, yet she never thought it her business to ask considering he was the one who employed her for so many years.

"Always a pleasure Sir." Shila's voice was just as gentle and warm as the others. She was always on good terms with the man.

"I do believe we've known each other long enough. You can just call me Alex. If it bothers you so much, at least call me Mr. Sear." The look on his face was more of a plea rather than a stern order. He'd tried for many years to get Shila to stop treating him so highly in rank. He enjoyed getting personally acquainted with all his employees. To him, it was a requirement to judge who was the correct choice for any request they got in from their clients.

Shila just gave a warm smile at his response. "Wish I could sir. You know as well as I, however, that no one would take you seriously if you were on equal terms with everyone on the force." The lycan then moved away from the door and closer to the desk to discuss more important matters. "Indeed the case was a success. The demon who has been running amuck committing the butterfly deaths has been eradicated. It was difficult with his trick involving scented illusions, but nothing I couldn't handle. Unfortunately for him, he refused to surrender, even when cornered. There was nothing more I could do for him sir."

Mr. Sear gave a serious look from behind his desk at the last statement of Shila's quick report.
"I take it you cleaned up well?"

Shila nodded in response. "Affirmative."

"Any damages to the area?" Mr. Sears gaze was steady, as if he were judging the truth of the girl's words.

Shaking her head before responding, Shila was sure to return the man's gaze. "Damage was minimum to anything but the body. There were no other victims. My bullets never stray from their target."

This time the boss nodded his head in agreement.
"Indeed they do not Miss Miamoto. I trust there were no injuries to yourself this time?"

"Affirmative. I made sure to keep a necessary distance. I was lucky this time."

"Lucky indeed. I hear he was no easy matter and rather creative in his death marks. I cannot promise the next few cases will be the same."

Shila watched the man silently for a moment as if thinking the matter over, then stated, "The fact is well known sir. And you do well in assigning cases that I can handle on my own. Your judgment on partners for certain cases is incredible. I'm already in good hands. Speaking of which, does the next case require one?"

Mr. Sear was nodding quietly as Shila spoke. He then raised an eyebrow in question at the girl's eagerness for the next mission.
"The next mission... a partner is not required, but if you feel you need one, it would do you no harm. Unfortunately the most recent case will come to your distaste, but it must be done. A string of thefts has occurred. In most cases, the victims of these thefts are found dead, the blood drained from their bodies."

The young lycan let out an unconscious low growl as she spoke the word. "Vampire."

"Indeed. It appears that your target is a vampire, and not a normal one at that. After each case, more victims are found at the scene, few ever survive. This vampire is berserk in it's nature, yet cunning non the less. It appears he or she had not lost his or her senses with each attack. You're nose will come in handy with this case; however, I'm more concerned about your nature."

Shila turned away at the man's concern. It was true that she loathed the existence of vampires. It took her years not to randomly shoot at the ones who worked in the agency as allies. She could have easily turned the case down, yet she didn't join the force years ago to be picky with how she helped the innocents who suffered. "I'll take the case Sir. And I shall think highly on the option of a partner. I should be fine however. I've worked with this company for years now. I think I can handle this case, even if the culprit is a vampire."

The man watch the girl silently before letting out a sigh and standing up from his seat behind his wooden desk, picking up a yellow file in doing so.
"Very well. The case is yours. Settle the matter quickly. You're limit is a weeks time before the case is handed to someone else. You know we have to do things quickly if we're to keep our customers happy." Mr. Sear then opened the door for Shila before adding in, "One more thing. The client wants a memento of the beast as proof it is dead as well as their stolen goods back. You'll find the information you need in this file. And do be careful not to lose yourself in this case."

Shila smiled proudly as she took the file from the man's hands and walked out. "You can count on me sir."

Devar was on standby - a mode where most functions shut down to conserve power - and the only functions left are proximity sensors, acting as sentry for anything that might require his attention and "emergence" from his state. His sensors scanned the area constantly, and for some time, he remained in rest. Then suddenly, the door opposite his position opened, and a young female Lycan exited the building. His sensors alerted him, and Devar stood in one fluid motion - light an efficient machine.

Two dark blue lights switched on, and shown from under the hood that hid his face, a hand emerged from his cloak and rested with a fist over his chest in the form of a salute. A mechanical voice, low and fluid - though somewhat soft and warm at the same time - spoke to her "You are not like the others I've seen in this city". He lowered his hand and it quickly disappeared under his cloak once more. "My name is ... Devar, what is your name, Miss?". He would have said much more, if there indeed was more. But at this point in time, he was merely searching for a master - maybe this Lycan was the right one?

Shila was taken back by the sudden reaction of a stranger at the front door of the building. She'd not recognized him as a member of the association. The girl then thought him as a customer, lost or unsure if he should enter the building. Holding the new file of folders in her hand close to her chest, Shila extended a hand in greeting to introduce herself. "My name is Shila. And it is a pleasure to meet you Devar. If you have any worries and have nowhere else to turn for help, you're welcome to step inside. We'll listen to your needs or desires and be sure to get the job done as quickly as possible."

Shila wasn't one to brag about the association. Her duty was to get the job done, not to direct people for help. However, there were a few times she had to show the lost victims a place where they could relax and get their head together. Therefore, the idea of helping a lost person wasn't really new to her at all.
