Rain watched the heavy clouds crawled across the sky. It was supposed to snow soon and that just meant that she wouldn't be able to get her dinner for tonight. Sighing, she shaked her head. Don't get her wrong, she loved the snow...but she also loved her evening meals. It was the only time she actually went out to get something to sooth her hunger...a better would be thirst.

Her dark brown hair whipped around her face as the wind picked up it's pace, trying to get the clouds to move as well. Biting her lower lip to reveal sharp teeth, she scanned the area with her eyes, looking for something that might be of interest to her. There was one little thing about her, she had 360 degree vision even though she only had two eyes like all other humans.

Now, Rain isn't exactly what you could call a young human adult if you knew her for long enough. She didn't act the way they did and she didn't exactly eat what humans eat either. Oh, and she's not your typical monster. She had never been written about in book like our famous vampire and werewolves, she even doubted those existed. If they were alive, they were stupid creatures. If you wanted to survive in this world, it was best be hidden from the attention of those humans.

Seeing something move at the corner of her eye, she let a low growl escape her full lips. It was too low for any human to hear her, but that didn't mean someone else couldn't. Shoving her pale hands into her pockets, she walked over to the shadows area behind the store. Something was there, she knew that much. Narrowing her brown eyes, her muscles tensed as she waited for them to show themselves. In a city like this, it wasn't unusual to run into something that wanted to rip her throat out.

Youma walked down the street, Tachinori watching him as always from some far away and safe place. Good thing too or else Youma would attract far too much attention. removing his sun shades so that he could see better, his Saphire blue eyes shone like flashlights in the near dark. Far down the street, he could feel a strength that was greater than a normal humans. Sighing, Youma decided to investigate. "Anything to break the monotony." This phrase was said in a normal speaking voice, as if Youma were addressing someone, even though nobody was there to hear him.

Upon reaching the alley that the thing turned down, he narrowed his eyes. He had no problems seeing in the dark, but he found that the narrowing of hs eyes gave him a slightly more interesting look. Brushing the snow that had accumulated on his trenchcoat, he produced a flask of alcoholic material so strong, no human could ingest it and escape alcohal poisoning. Taking a large swig of the material, he approached the creature. He could see an energy leaking from something else in the alley, but it was a normal human murderer. Its energy was hardly enough to be seen, but it was there none the less.

Preferring to keep his complete silence which he maintained while walking up, he wanted to wait and see what this being would do. Many a strange thing had Youma seen in city streets at night, but only a few like this one, and one of them was mistaken to be the Jersey devil. Now he wasn't saying that this being was a four foot tall imp, far from it. He was just saying that it was unique and dengerous. Oh how he loved that combination in something. Its what drew him to Tachinori in the first place. The lure of powers greater than ny living being was too unique and too dangerous for Youma to resist temptation. He grinned, a simply apalling gesture which would send a shiver downt he bravest of human spines and send childeren crying to their mothers. I love the snow, he thought. It always makes things seem cleaner than they really are and when i make a mess, the snow makes it seem so much worse than it really is.

She looked down the alley, seeing someone with broad shoulders. Her vision cleared after a second and she finally saw who it was. Those icy blue eyes had some hidden power that she didn't know about at the moment. Rain thought it would be best to back away but her pride wasn't letting her, besides she was a curious person.

Rain smirked a little as he came closer. Maybe she wouldn't need to go off and find someone, her food was already here. Despite her small size (5' 4") she was stronger than the human race but then again, it was obvious that this man wasn't. Her eyes looked him over once, just noticing what weapons he had. Her dark eyes met his once again and she noticed him grin. It wasn't a happy one, like the ones you saw on children when they finally got their prize but more like a dark, sadistic one.

"Hello." her voice was low but beautiful nonetheless. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips as he came closer. She didn't know why he came or what he was here for, but in a few minutes or moments, she would be able to find out. Her thoughts about using him as a meal disappeared, it would be a waste of food, besides he could be a powerful friend, if you could call it that. She relaxed a little, as she tried to figure him out. Rain had never seen any creature like him, so that just made her all the more curious.

She tilted her head up a little, her neck popping in the process as she inhaled. His scent was filled with blood and death but at the same time it had a sweet edge to it, strange indeed. Rain blinked, wanting to find out more about this stranger that happened to be in her part of the city. Not very many came here if they knew that this was her turf unless they had some business to discuss with her or they wanted to kill her.

Youma smiled again. "Well well well, aren't you polite!" Youma's false bravado and politeness would annoy any human, though he wasn't sure what response he would get from this. "Clearly not human, yet you clearly still harbor some form of intelligence! simply astounding!" Youma lauged. The sound of his laugh drew the waiting murderer out of hiding holding a large wicked looking knife. The only thought on the poor humans mind was to kill the being that produced such an evil laugh. Youma laughed yet again because he came to expect this kind of result from t he weak minded humans. Once the knife penetrated Youma's neck, he smiled, being incapable of laughing.

Pushing the man off of him with a single thrust that sent him flying back into a pile of trash 30 feet away at the opposite end of the alley, Youma removed the knife and held it up to the scant light that reached into the alley. Eyeing it like a young boy with his first gun, Youma grinned. He licked his own blood off of the blade and laughed again. "My my my, was that supposed to kill me?" His bond with Tachinori, as well as his species, allowed the cut to heal almost instantly, as if it never happened.

Faster than any human eyes could track him, he appeared by the mans side who was now in a crumpled heap in the trash, sobbing and praying for repentance, begging to be allowed to see his mother one last time. Crouching, Youma held the knife to the man. "tsk tsk tsk. You should know better than that. You will get no heaven, no money, no drugs, no beer or women. You will not even get to see your mommy again." With that, Youma pulled Tachinori from the unspace somewhere near him where Tachinori tended to wait, and slit the mans throat. The blood fell freely from the throat, yet the man seemed more alive than ever. "And so you shall recieve hell." Youma grinned as the man was slowely absorbed by Tachinori, who would keep him in an eternal state of damnation, of fear and sorrow and regret, who would keep him bleeding and dieing for the rest of time.

Youma spun around with vigor, Tachinori having dissapeared back into the unspace, and bowed curtly. "Im sorry for that little interruption, but i am already growing bored of your company. Lifeless and dull with only enough power to overcome a human. Of course i could take you into us but such junk food as yourself could do nothing but annoy Tachiori. The man was as nothing, but you would be like a single little crumb, enough to remind us of our hunger. And so i bid you ado and hope you burn in hell or whatever it is you beings do in your spare time. Ciao!" Youma than walked past Rain and back into the street, looking for something more entertaining to preoccupy his time with. Who knows, maybe Rain will step up and prove to be at least a distraction like the murderer in the alleyway was. Either way, he had alot of time to kill until he could return home and continue his path to glory again.

She looked at him, unamused. Well he was definitely loud when he wanted to be. Oh, she took all the insults for now, he was probably just trying to find a way to entertain himself with a fight. Yawning a little, she listened to his laugh. What an annoying sound. She had never liked the sound of laughter when it came from others, and he was no excuse. Looking up at him with a lazy look covering her face, she watched as a human struck him with a knife. Hmm...he didn't seemed to be fazed by it, how interesting. She might decided to follow him around for a while, see what he was like. Sure, her little stalking trip would be creepy but the more she knew about him the more of a chance she had of beating him.

She had already predicted the human's future, it was obvious that he was going to die. Leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, she watched with a bored look, though she was taking mental notes. The sword was something she wanted to stay away from, it was creepy as hell and she definitely didn't want to get stuck in that little hell. The man said woman. Why did that always have to be something that was said. Shaking her head in disappointment, she had known that men never seemed to change, no matter what creature they were.

The man begged...she didn't feel sorry for him though, it was his fault he died in the first place. She glanced up at the sword again. Whatever it was, it held great power, something that she might want to get her hands on later. Rain ran her fingers through her hair, straightening out the curls. He seemed to be having fun, he enjoyed killing others, that wasn't a rare delight. She could relate to it as well.

Rain laughed at his words. "Oh I'm not that easy to get rid of." she suddenly appeared by his side as if she had always been there. "I may be junk food but I'm not completely powerless." she glanced at his neck to see if his wound had completely heald. He had a speck of blood left there. Before he could rip her head off, or something along those lines, she reached up and wiped it off before disappeared to the front of the alley were he was heading. Licking the little bit of blood off her finger, she sighed. "So where exactly are you going?" she asked, just keeping up the conversation. It started snowing again as she watched him, white specks falling all around them.

Youma frowned when she took the blood from his neck. Than Youma laughed again. "Im going to be enjoying myself and you are coming!" once again, his false bravado and sarcasm permeated his voice, but what happened next was not funny at all....

Tachinori appeared, this time of its own Volition. instead of being a normal diamond sword held by Youma, now it floated inches off of the ground with the tip pointing straight down. A black substence filled the blade as well as an evil aura far more powerful than anything any mortals or even most earth-based beings, could sense. It moved even faster than Youma had before, seeming almost to teleport, rather than fly to its destination. It hovered behind Rain, black material reflecting her perfectly, but the reflection was flawed...

Inside the black substence was the man from the alley, screaming in pain as he eternally bled his life away from the throat. He slowly faded into impossible depths inside of the black substence, merging with a huge crowd of trillions of people of many races, most of which Rain would never had even heard of. They were all suffering in some way. at one point an old human lady was sobbig, bloody stumps where her arms, legs, and breasts used to be. She bled rivers of blood which forever spilled onto a child, cowering in fear next to the corpses of its dead parents, sobbing as the blood fell and the parents remained dead. At the other end, a man was grinning and laughing in triumph as he lifted the heads of his family members. The man had been driven insane on Earth and had killed all 7 members of his family. His 19 year old wife, his 2 year old tripelets and his second set of unborn triplets whose heads he appearantly clawed out of the dieing fetus of their ill begotten mother.

Yet strange races were there too. Beings many times larger than humans and covered with fur under many simmilar tortures inside of the sword were right next to what seemed like a mermaid with tail cut off and tied around her neck. Towards the back could even be seen the decicated corpse of Youma's father, marred with so many wounds both major and minor that his body was almost impossible to recognize as humanoid. Yet behind these people were planets. Whole planets sat inside of the black murk which seemed to entrance Rain.

The planets were almost as bad as the people. Tectonic plates on one were cracked and deep fissures leading to the planets core with the ruins of bizzare city scapes forever hung over the fires of the core. Another planet was desolate and lifeless, frozen solid when Tachinori devoured and destroyed its sun. It seemed that if one looked close enough that the tiny figures of people flash frozen on the surface of the planet, still gleamed with a spark of life and of fear. Their eternal hell as frozen statues in the wasteland of their once beautiful planet. "Oh the wonderful destruction i have wreaked with this sword." Youma whispered this into Rains ear, draping his arms over her shoulders as if a lover. "Do you really wish to join them?" Youma grinned.

Coming? What did he mean? It wasn't that long before she figured out what he meant by those words. She turned around when the sword appeard behind her. Rain swallowed a little when she saw what was hidden inside it. It was something that definitely wasn't the place to be. She remained calm, and no fear was apparent from her. They were just humans...mortal beings.

She watched as faces changed to show others. All of them were going through pain and lots of it. Blood, it was everywhere though not a single drop of it escaped the grasp of the diamond sword. He had said it's name before, Tachinori, it was an odd name but it fit the sword. Sighing a little, she wasn't going to let him enjoy any of this if she could surpress all her emotions. She got a confused look though when she saw creatures that had never been heard of, even in those crazy stories that were made up by some insane person that was taking the wrong pills.

"Nice sword.." she said under her breath but her voice wasn't exactly pleasent anymore. Her eyes widened for a split second when she saw planets. Whole planets. How was that even possible? She tried to get a better look at them. This sword....it held more power than humans could ever create with their technology. A chill ran down her spine.

Who was he? Who was he really? It was obvious by now that he wasn't from this planet. She surpressed a growl when he touched her, just like him, she loathed it. Her fingers tightened into fists but she didn't move besides that, except for tilting her head just a little bit away from him. "Of course I don't...no one with a sane mind would want to." this probably meant that she would have to abandon her little trip of following him around. If she had been smart, she would've leaft the minute she saw him but her damn curiousity got the best of her. Sighing, she looked down at the ground. She didn't know what to expect from him now. It was either death...or something else...now that something else could be millions of things.

He was grinning again and really she had learned that that wasn't a good sign. Well, if he was going to kill her, she wasn't going to beg or anything, she had gone through it before....Rain had an interesting history, maybe it would be of use to him later on, but she doubted it. "I'll leave if that's what you want..." she said in a low voice, wondering about his own life. He seemed to have a rich background as it was but she didn't think she would ever have a chance to find out what it all was.

Youma faked a look of surprise on his face. "why dear child," Youma said mockingly. "Why ever would i have you leave? The game has only just begun!" Tachinori began to emit a sound so deep no human could hear it, Though Rain should be able to hear it. It was so loud....loud enough to set off car alarms for hundreds of feet. It was all enveloping, but than a voice was heard over the tumult. But it wa sin her head! Tachinori so easily swept away any defenses to peoples mind that they almost never noticed the sudden loss of it.

Rain, began the voice of a god, a voice so deep and intense that one could never find all of the tones. it was like hundreds of people all speaking at once. Rain, you shall become one with me. Become one with a god! Tachinori was exerting a force upon her that could be equated to the combined gravitational force of hundreds of suns. The reflection in Tachinori's murk continued to pan out. Planets slowly became small sparks and systems like the human Sol became visible inside. The suns small and dead inside, the planets utterly ruined. Such a grand scale of Devestation was nearly impossible for any human to comprehend. Yet the moving and changing never stopped...

Whole galexies became visible. Entire galexies, many trillions upon trillions of souls captured inside of Tachinori. They were all dead, however, rather than eternal like the others. It was the scar from Youma and Tachinori's very last action in Youma's home, but the scope was unimaginable. Voices began to be raised in the massive deep vibrations of Tachinori, all of those people, voices screaming. Maybe it was useless at that point, but they all were screaming, 'RUN!'

But Tachinori had its Hold on Rain now. Youma was physically holding her down and Tachiori was drawing closer it seemed. Than Rain would realize that Tachinori was not coming closer, but that the murk was expanding out of the sword and towards her. Nobody but her would be able to see it, but it was like the opposite effect of a tunnel. She was in the light and ahead of her was the all encompasing blackness which led only to pain and terror. Only an action of pure luck could save her now, for example Youma or Tachinori getting hit by a car and distracted long enough for Rain to escape ((hint hint))

Oh, his sarcasm was really getting to her now. All her muscles tensed, the game had began...that wasn't a good sign and even a blind person could see that. A low growl escaped her lips. She needed to leave now...now was the perfect time but she found that his grip was stronger now, not as loose as it had been before. Rain of course had a few tricks up her sleeves but then she heard the voice.

It was awful, it truly was horrible. She shivered and goosebumps appeard on her skin. Rain had never been cold before, but this wasn't about the temperature. She winced from how loud it was, by now she wanted to scream, kick, punch, anything to get her out of here. If she survived this, she definitely was leaving this place. There was no way she was staying here anymore. She arched her back in effort to get away from him, from both of them. Her sharp elbows dug into the man's torso but really, if a knife hadn't done anything to him, how would that hurt him?

She swore, loud and clear, at both of them. It wasn't like someone was covering her mouth or anything so why not?It wasn't long before she heard the word 'run.' Yeah, thanks for the hint people, she already had figured that out a long time ago. She bit Youma's arm, her sharp teeth digging through his flesh and his warm blood flowed into her mouth. Letting go, she bit his hand, and this time she was able to get a finger to come off...how lovely. Spitting it out, she fought harder.

Sirens were suddenly heard in the distance, apparently someone had called the police and for once she was thankful for that sound. Since the alley was dark, a car happened to slam into Youma's side. Soon the place was surrounded by police and one of the shot a bullet into is back. As soon as Youma had loosened his grip, she broke free and ran like hell out of that place. Pushing people aside, she kept going, running faster than any cheetah could.

The police stayed behind and yelled orders...like that was going to help them at all but at the moment, she didn't care anymore. She wasn't going to stop at her home, she already had all her weapons and everything she needed with her. Biting her lip, she ran to the freeway and kept going along it. All that people would see if they looked her way, was a blur of dark colors...
PostPosted: Thu Dec 03, 2009 2:32 am

Youma winced as the woman bit off his finger. It wasn't pain so much as it was annoying. Lost limbs were difficult to regenerate as easily as a simple stab wound. When he was hit by the car, the car was probably doing 70 miles an hour and that broke nearly every bone in his body. The sickening crunch of the impact would easily hint to that. He lay on the ground twitching as bones reconstructed themselves and muscle tissue reconnected. When he finally stood up, he was whole again and the police had weapons leveled at him. Looking around and counting 20 different officers of the law, Youma grinned. "Well, let the games begin." The morning news would report that the police men all disappeared on duty as some kind of strike against the low wages they had been forced to take recently.

Youma had no idea where Rain went at this point, and all he wanted to was shower and remove the blood from under his fingernails. But when he checked on Tachinori, instead of seeing blackness that was the unspace that Tachinori normally lay dormant in, Youma saw that it was still awake and still chasing Rain. ((God that sounds corny)) Youma smiled and began to whistle some old song as he slowly walked home, knowing that he could not control Tachinori and that it would be useless to try, especially from a distence like that.

Now Tachinori was a different story. Tachinori wasn't giving up so easily. If Rain ever looked behind her while she ran, she would see a nightmare sight. The morning news would report this as some kind of earthquake or maybe a terrorist bombing, but the truth was worse than that. Tachinori was chasing Rain, throwing cars hundreds of feet into the air, ripping apart the occupants and destroying the vehicle. the tarmac was being destroyed by the force of the power Tachinori was exerting to reach Rain, but Rain should know that it was only playing with her. She saw how fast it was before and something that could move like that could easily catch up to her. It wanted her to run from it. It liked it. Tachinori liked it. The horrible multi voice rang out in the night, laughing with the hindreds of voices thing, sending chills down the spine of every mortal who lived long enough to comprehend that it was a laugh. Run fool, run!

She heard the cement cracking behind her, and cars honking. It was like a tidal wave was coming after her only it was probably just that sword. She wasn't going to turn around and look, that would only cause her to get caught up in all of it. If it could catch in a moment, why didn't it do that? Probably because it liked to chase things...like a nice little game of cat and mouse. Growling to her herself, she was hating this but she didn't want to lose her life...but she was going to lose it anyway...right?

That is unless she found a way to out smart it. Rain was a clever person but at the moment, fear was controling her so she did the first that came to mind and that was run. Leaping over a fence, she ran across the country side, the place was filled with cattle and the smell wasn't pleasent either. She could live with it though. Seeing a bunch of trees on the horizon, she knew that that was the spot where the forest began, maybe...just maybe she could find some cover there. Ugh...what had she done that made him so mad?

She had touched his neck...but would that really set him off that much? Maybe it was her question...oh it was useless. Giving up on trying to find the cause, she went faster, puffs of dust coming up behind her. Making her way past the trees now, she heard the sound of running water...what could stop this sword? Nothing...at least she couldn't think of anything that would be able to. Shaking her head a little, she brushed a few strands of hair from her face and kept going. A trap snapped behind her, just were her foot had been a second ago, and she was glad she had been fast enough to avoid getting caught by it. That was the last thing she needed at the moment.

Rain kept her fast pace steady as the snow continued to fall..sadly that would only slow her down as soon as it was at least a foot deep, which really shouldn't take that long to happen. Biting her lip, she remembered all the things she had done up the the age of thirteen...she didn't having any memories before that...it was like a blank sheet of white paper.

Once Rain reached the trees where Tachinori would not be able to 'see' her, Tachinori hovered at the edge of the forest where she disappeared into. the terrible voice rang out again, but this time, it wasn't directed at her.

Youma, get over here. She ran into the forest. Help me find her!

For a sword, Tachinori was kind of bossy. But wait, Tachinori was ordering Youma around, which meant that the two were two seperate beings. This was yet another concept that was difficult for many to grasp. But before the godlike voice had finished echoing off into the distence, Youma had appeared by Tachinori's side, hardly our of breath despite the distence he just ran. "Just leave her alone. You didn't want her in the first place, remember? why go to all of this trouble just to off an annoying little whelp? what, did she get you angry too?" Youma had sarcasm in his voice but the sword Tachinori just gave out another one of those god-like laughs.

No. I just haven't had this much fun in a long time! Youma laughed at the irony of that. Tachinori wasn't hungry, it was entertaining itself.

"Well than, what do you call that city you wiped out just a few days ago out in Iraq? Didn't you have fun than? you sure seemed like it!" Youma nodded his head sagely. This was all crazy! it didn't make sense that these beings could be so powerful! And what was Tachinori anyways? was it really a god as it claimed to be? Tachinori's dreadful laugh echoed through the forest to wherever Rain was hiding.

No, that was fun, but there were nothing but humans, and they are just no sport after the planets and gods we used to hunt. You would suggest we pass up this chance to enjoy a more poweful being? Youma laughed and nodded before walking slowly into the forest. Chances are that Tachinori never really needed to stop and simply felt like t was Youma's turn to chase the thing.

Her ears barely picked up the sound of someone's laughter. Ah, it must be him and his little friend. She decided to keep quiet as she kept running. The forest was about two hundred miles long, so it would take her a good twenty minutes to reach it's end. Despite the fact that she was running for her life, she wasn't feeling the need to run as fast but then again, the man had apparently appeared here in about two seconds, so she really shouldn't risk it.

Rain heard a wolf howl in the distance, she loved the sound of it. She loved this place in general but she was going to take her time admiring the place when she had some weird sword going after her, as well as his boss or pet. She didn't know who controlled who at this point and she didn't want to find out. Seeing a tall tree up ahead, she leapt up into it and kept going from there, from tree top to tree top. It was slightly faster than running, but flying was even better, she couldn't do that though.

Stretching a little, she soon reached the end and stopped for a few seconds, taking in deep breaths of air. Looking down at the ground, she yawned a little before taking off again. There were house ahead so maybe she could stop there for a minute or two. Slowly down to a a slow walk, which would be the normal human pace, she looked around. Everyone was locked up in their homes at the moment. Hissing, she shaked her head before going down the street. She needed some food and this time she was going to get it. Seeing a man walked away from a store with a bag in his hand, she smirked before coming closer. Ah, blood was something she liked and fresh meat was a side dish for her. She hadn't had a decent meal in a long time, so she wasn't going to take her time with this.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 03, 2009 5:51 pm

Youma didn't take long to find her at all. As soon as she jumped into the trees, he knew exactly where to find her. Birds left each tree she landed in, making her path painfully easy to follow. By the time she had slowed down, Youma was lounging in a tree ahead of her and watching her closely. She probably wouldn't see him, but that didn't matter. If she did, she would run again and that would convince Tachinori to chase her again. It wouldn't be the smartest of moves at any rate. Youma yawned and let one of his legs dangle from the branch he was perched on. It would be so easy to kill her now, but Youma had no quarrel with her any more. He scared the living christ out of her and thats all he needed for revenge. Had she been human, she would already be dead, but her uniqueness is what kept her alive right now...well, that and the promise that she will continue to be entertining. Youma watched, disinterested as she began feed. "Ach, vile human flesh. Nasty. Maybe if she had something good every now and than, she would realize that humans were disgusting, but for now, Youma would continue to flinch as memories of the early days here passed through him; days of his new occult bringing him human sacrifices in order to sate his enormous hunger.

Rain wasn't exactly a picky eater, so she didn't care. Grabbing the man's neck from behind, he swung his bag of food at her once before she snapped it. She wasn't in the mood for a fight. Biting into his exposed neck, her teeth dug through the skin almost reaching the half way point. She was glad that at least this human seemed fit. Blood dripped onto the pure white snow, but she didn't pay any attention to it.

After having her fill, she dragged him over to a dumpster before throwing him inside. Licking her lips to remove any blood that was there. Her lips stayed the same red color as the blood. Sighing, she leaned against the wall before she finally realized that the man was back. Great. Her eyes stayed on him for a few moments before she looked away. Rain ran her fingers through her hair several times before it became wavy instead of curly. "Do you need something?" she asked before leaping onto the roof of the store, sitting down, her legs hanged off the edge.

She was getting tired of him and his sword, was it too hard to ask for some peace and quiet after all of that had happened. She smiled a little when she didn't see the sword anywhere in sight...but then again it was probably not too far from him. Shivering a little from the memory, she then stood up and walked across the roof, knowing that she would still be able to hear him clearly. Glancing back at him for a second, she jumped off, her movements graceful. She had had a lot of practice with fighting but she had never run into something like him...and she could now see why. If someone else like him was on this planet, it would've been destoryed a long time ago. So that meant he had either been here since the beginning or he had somehow got transported to Earth, the planet supposedly ruled by humans.
