Left to ruin, the world of Kaleonor has, It's survial lays in your hands, To who may bear this monumentous goal, May you slip past tragedy's hold, And continue till the final act, So far none in this pact, Have their story told. In this world there are horrifing beasts, ruins of magestic empires, and haunting memores of the fallen. This is Kaleonor. Many warriors have been left to die all for the single goal: to defeat the Syle and resurrect the fallen hero. Or so the legend goes... Six have been sent upon this task. Their only way of survial is to stay together, and fight as one. But they still have yet to find each other. More than that, overcome the monster of legend, Syle. Will they return the hero, or join the fallen? Only the roll of their dice will see. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE TO RPers: Upon taking up this quest, you've been bound to a pair of die. These will control you're fate; from what path you take to what misfortune may come to you. Their fall will shape your adventure. You do however have one strength: companions. No matter what trouble you get into, a friend can bail you out - without having to leave it to chance.

The World of Kaleonor There are three main species of Kaleonor: Humans Humans dominate physical strength, but lack most magical abilities. This species has been known to pick up the very least of spells. Most being only small healing spells and the occasional weak buffing spells. Skills:-Fair aim -Amazing strength -Partical healing spells -Weak speed and strength buffing spell
Elves Elves are solitary creatures. However, what they lack in social skills, they make up for in beauty and grace. They are the median between humans and phantasms as they have fair physical and magical ablitiles. Skills:-Brilliant aim -Mediocre strength -No healing spells -Thunder spells -Water spells -Amazing speedPhantasm Phantasms are one of the rarest speices of Kaloenor. Contrary to popular belief, phantasms are not spirits of the fallen women and men who battled Syle. They are a different level of being, living between the seen and unseen. Phantasms have no physical strength at all, however their magical abilities are highly respected. They also are sensitive to weather change, as they have no protection against weather. Unless they caste a spell. Skills:-NO physcial strength -All element spells (water, fire, thunder, ice, darkness, light...) -Strong healing spells -Strong protection spells -Can float on air -Valnerable to weather changes

The Legend of Syle According to folklore, thousands of years ago when world was shaped with fire and ice, a burst of darkness came from the depths of black space. The ice of life and the flames of death consumed it, but the infection of darkness would not die. Instead it became its own lifesource. It became what is called Syle.
As the world came into existence, Syle barried himself deep within the world to be awakened when good and evil are finally one; or so legend goes. Here he has slept in waiting while the blackness of his heart seeps into the world's soils to pollute creatures and people alike. As the ages fly by, the world becomes more devistated by Syle.
For centeries, groups of adventurers have been bound to a pair of dice in hopes to save their world. These brave men and women have faced the most dangerous creatures that lurk in the black of the world, and have lost everything.

Where did you come from?
Kailan was born in the western hemisphere of Kaleonor. Her parents were lowly fishers in a large ocean side city. When Kailan refused to join in the family trade, she left them to travel the world. Since then, the human's done many temperary jobs and bounty hunting to be able to survive. And while these unstable jobs bring excitment to her life, what Kailan is really looking for is her calling. Recently, she has a goal to live for as an old man met with her with a pair of die. And now, Kailan will find a way to live the life she was meant to have with her white die to decide her fate.
Kailan is fairly outgoing and enjoys the idea of facing new obstacles. One thing she prides herself on is her honesty. Even at some of the most embarressing times of her life, Kailan will still admit her feelings and actions. Although she may take up some time building up the courage to do so. After wasting her life at meanless jobs, Kailan is ready to take part in life and follow the white dice bound to her.

Where did you come from? Tillian grew up in a valley between two mountains with a group of Phantasms who formed a very small community there. Through out his youth Tillian learned to discipline himself and only use his powers if he needed them and couldn't use his head to get out of a conflict.
The two mountains, one called Life, and one called Death were a part of his training. The mountain called Death was a calm and clear path up to the top, yet shrouded in darkness through out. The mountain called Life has no clear path and frequently treks up to the tip will claim a Phantasm who tries to head up with out using the patience and learning attained through the lessons offered. Both mountains must be traveled alone when the Phantasm feels they are ready. Then and only then are they considered enlightened.
Tillian was one of the few who made both journeys on his first try. First he went up Life. The hard path forced him to take his time and taught him that life was never easy. Then he tried the path of Death. While his footing was sure the pitch dark shrouding him caused worry at each small sound at every step. This path taught him to not fear the unknown. After the long week and a half of solitude he returned home to find a pair of blue dice had been at the bottom of his travel bag the entire time, yet he had never noticed them while on the mountains.

Where did you come from? Much before the age of fourty was a blur, not really knowing much more than how to walk and maybe say a few elven words. It wasn't until seventy-two that anything remarkable ever happened, as that was when Aust begun learning how to hunt. Like the rest of his family, he was a natural with the bow only missing his first few shots when he started with motionless targets. As time passed by, he was placed into the hunting party, entasked with the responibility of bringing food back for their tribe. It was a simple task, as he had become the top archer of his generation at the age of ninety-three.
Yet, food started to disappear with the events occuring throughout the lands, and the hunting parties had to travel much farther and through a treacherous landscape. It seemed even the predatory animals were becoming desperate, as a pack of wolves ambushed them during their run through the mountains. Aust was one hundred and seventeen now, and his hunting party was devistated by the assult. After the fight, only Aust and two others from their hunting party of ten were standing, and every surviving member was injured. On the way back to the tribe, Aust found two most peculiar stones.
Aust's life had been permanently changed from that day on. He had found dice, at least that was what others had called them, and these dice were now his. They gave him great strengths, but they also had flaws. He was sent to fulfill his destiny, to defeat the Synde. He has been travelling for almost twenty years alone now, and his paths are to cross with fated others. That was what the elder told him. Aust, on the other hand, was not so sure.

Where did you come from? Seren was born to elders in her forest, and the youngest of seven, five of whom were incredibly annoying brothers, the sister the eldest and long gone from the family home. Although her brothers gained skill in the bow and the hunt, the elf turned her attention to the arcane, soon becoming adept in the elements of lightning and water. her skill with a bow not much advancing past hitting a target at close range.
Therefore, she was not much use to their society until she too could become an elder, so at a loose end as to what should become of her time before this post.
So her parents decided for her, sending her out as a travelling merchant, to deal with the humans, and bring commerce to them. Of course through trades, she managed to stumble across a pair of die..

Where did you come from? Zaid was found by a pair of old farmers when his was just a little boy. The kind old couple took him in and raised him there on the farm. Since the couple were old and nearing the end of their life, their farm was bare except for a few dogs and horses they still cared for. With the responsibilities of taking care of these animals, Zaid learned much. The old couple even taught him how to read and write, and the basics of life. Yet somewhere in his blood he was a hot head, he rebelled and often took advantage of the life the old couple had given him. He never quite fit in well with other people, and had a terrible time trying to socialize, and because other children were cruel, he was teased for having an old couple as ‘parents’, for not having a real mom and dad like everyone else. He was definitely a problem child, and because he had such sensitive feelings the only way he expressed them was by getting in to fights with other kids. His life was like this until he was twelve years old, after he turned twelve his life on the farm changed. The barn where the animals were kept caught fire one day. This happened to be a day where Zaid was foolishly off on his own, spending time with older kids who called themselves his ‘friends’, getting into fights and learning about the delinquent life. The fire had gone on for hours before he had notice the smoke and the direction it came from, and when he finally realized this, he ran home. He was too late of course… the animals in the barn had been saved, but in the process the old couple died in the fire while saving their dogs and horses. It was the worst day of his life, and he immediately felt a huge weight of guilt on his shoulders. He could have been a better ‘son’ to these people, he could have been there to help them when the fire had started… but he hadn’t been, and he wasn’t. The animals were sold. Zaid was being taken to an orphanage. He didn’t want to go though, no one would want a child going into their teens, especially a troubled one like him. Zaid hadn’t even given the couple a proper burial… no one had, no one cared. The real cruelty of life was showing his ugly head, finally Zaid realized how good he had it. He wasted no time in running away from the orphanage, it hadn’t even been a day and he ran away, back to the ashes of the barn house. No one had known it the fire had been an accident or on purpose… something in his gut felt like it was on purpose. Alone he made a stone grave and set it on top of the ashes, and laid a sad flower on top before lowering his head to wish them happiness in the afterlife. When Zaid had opened his eyes, down by his feet he spotted a pair of red die in the ashes. Curiosity made him pick the die up and pocket them. He then turned his back on the grave he had made and left, beginning a journey where the hardships were relentless, where fighting and cheating shaped his life as he grew, where he learned about love and heartbreak, backstabbing and betrayals, where he found kindness in a dying man and decided to try and change his life.

Where did you come from? Alvar was born in a poor area of the elf forest, there were only a few elves left in the part of the forest where he was born. He was the youngest elf in the small village, he was the one who was supposed to carry on the history of the small, brave village of elves. The village he was born in was only known for their strong warriors, not for their magic, however, Alvar did also study some magic when he wasn’t training with his sword. After hundred years, he was the only elf left in the small village.
Just before the oldest elf died, he asked Alvar to come visit him, that was when he was entrusted with the biggest treasure of the village, it was some sort of dice, he had been told that this dice held incredible power that could help the one who was holding it. Alvar promised the other elf that he would one day return and restore the glory of the village, so that it could one day start training warrior elves again.
With the dice, Alvar decided that it was time to leave the small village, and instead try and find someone who would help him restore the glory of the village

Kailan Ambella___________________________________________________ Kailan awoke with a sharp pain in her chest. In a quick response, the human pushed her hand to her bosom and muttered a warning to herself in her throat. The fingertips of the other hand dug into the wooden floor. She could feel the pain lessening, but as she took in another breath the painful stinging restarted itself. Hoisting herself forward, the girl coughed twice heavily before the pain drew back and disapeared. Kailan lifted her hands to her forehead before dazily coughing once more. "Uggh." She mummbled, "And I thought I wouldn't wake up today... What a thought". He amber eyes drifted toward a small window as Kailan remembered last night.
Kailan recalled an old man and an alley. As the memories came flooding back, she could only start to understand the request he had asked for. In the pitch black he seemed to be only another bounty client, and yet he was different. A different she didn't quite understand until now. Her hands played with the small gift she had been given: a white pair of die. She had declined his request on a make-believe beast called Syle, and yet the old man gave it to her anyhow, saying she had no choice, only a chance. 'That was a laugh' Her mind called thinking back on it. She had a choice, she always had a choice. Nothing in the world could stop her.
From downstairs came the roar of a few large men, matched the crashes of some glass bottles. From the amount of noise calling from below, Kailan guessed it was only early morning. By noon the sound would double as the downstairs pub was full with loudmouthed veterns who had fought into the darkness of Kalonor and returned a hero. Deep down, she hated the lot. All their yelling, cat calls, and greed made her sick. They had done nothing in life, and yet there they were, acting as if they stopped the great beast of legend themselves. Drowning away their life and their cash. Still, she took the job of serving them to stay in the upstairs room.
"Quitting, another wishful thought..." She told herself, sitting up in her bed, "And yet, I need the money. So really, that's not an option." Somewhat dramatically, Kailan dropped back down onto her bed and stretched her arms behind her head. She groaned as she stretched and rethought about it. Was there really no choice in this? Her mind went over the possiblities, and as if a joke, she stumbled onto another idea. The cool white die fell onto her hand before she pulled them out of her pocket. Examining them for a moment, Kailan decided to give it a chance and threw the two little cubes into the air. "Alright, should I stay or should I quit?" The words seemed as ordinary as anything else she said, if not more unreasonable than normal. The dice fell quick rolled only thrice before deciding her fate.Roll: 5 - quit Kailan looked at the result with a smile. "Yeah, nice idea but I don't think it's gonna fly." She stated, reacting as if the dice could actually respond. "Maybe tomorrow I'll do it." The girl shrugged off the dice and picked herself up off the bed. Heading for her closet, she felt a small tug in her chest. At first she asumed it to be her breathing problems again and thought nothing of it but as her hand paced the side of her work uniform, the tug grew stronger. Picking up the outfit, Kailan couldn't take it anymore. It felt like her heart was being pulled out from her chest and she had to drop the outfit on the ground.
The pain stopped and her eyes darted to the dice. 'Could it... be real' The tales repeated in her mind of the dice and Kailan felt a rush of worry wash over her. "This isn't real. As if. Never." Kailan muttered at the pair of dice on the ground as she spitefully shook her hand at it. Some loud complains were about to spill from her mouth before the owner came rushing in. He addressed her worriedly and asked what she was up to. Kailan wanted to say nothing, but something was tugging at her again. And as the conversation grew, so did the pain. "I quit." She answered suddenly.
The owner looked at her concerned. The girl didn't know how to respond, so she only said what she knew would end the pain, "I'm sorry, but I can't. I've taken on something else on." she uttered them and tried to keep herself from looking too upset. Without much more notice, Kailan picked up the die and shoved them in her pocket. The man left her with a small word of warning and an offer to come back and work when she wanted to. Kailan only nodded and packed up her stuff. Within the hour she was fully ready and out the door, leaving the loud bar behind her."How could you do that?" she muttered to the die as she punched them in her pocket. Anger was all she knew at a time like this. More over, she couldn't believe what she had just done. That wasn't what she wanted, but she couldn't help it. She rolled to her fate and let the dice shape her life. So now, taking only minutes to ruin her somewhat-stable life she had, Kailan Ambella was on her way to her fate, taking the first steps of her chancing life story.((lol, sorry it's so long. I just wanted to kinda open with the day after she got the dice so that the whole idea is kinda new to her. Just wanted to try to start her off with a fresh life... and tried to make it quicker at the end... ^^" So feel free to post. BTW my other posts shouldn't be so long... lol))EDITED

____________________________ Towns. Seren hated them so. So busy, so loud, and the smell - well, it was rather awful. The odour of many bodies brushing against eachother, with an undertone of alcohol and urine. The air was dirty where humans trod, alongside their ways. But as a merchant, she had to embrace it, in order to survive. And in order to please the elders back home. Why couldn't she just practice her magic for another one hundred years instead?
The elf's hand reached down to a silken pouch attached to the belt around her waist, and slipped her hand into it to feel the die inside. She had no idea why she had bought them, and indeed, why she still carried them. The had seemed to call to her, and, from when she had used them, they were rather lucky! She just rolled them, and they seemed to tell her what to do - whether to haggle, stick at a price, or walk away! She was putting her livelihood in the hands of two die. How human was that! And she didn't even like those gambling types, not that she was that fond of humankind anyway. Taking their forests, polluting the world with their stupidity. At least they did not live long.
She carried on through the busy marketplace, before reaching an inn, far enough into the more wealthy district (if you could call it so) to have a comfy bed and conditions above peasant squalor, and close enough to the rest of the city to have a fair price. Or so she hoped. To check her decision, elf elf bent down by it, fished out the dice, and rolled them across the cobblestones... If it was even, she would go in, if not, she would find the next one. The die seemed to know places better than her.
Slowly, the dice ground to a halt. A five and a three. That made eight, an even. Looked like she had picked wisely, after all. Seren smiled to herself and put away the die again, before she brought herself to her feet, to push open the tavern door, wrinkling her nose slightly at the stench of stale alcohol that mat her nostrils, infused into both the tavern woodwork and its occupants.“Take chances, make mistakes. That's how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.”

Tillian Shi
Still I push this boulder up this rocky hill, if I lose my footing this rock will kill. Perpetual dusk has me dimly lit so I can't see the top to know how far is it.
Tillian had a long trek from his village to the town he had come to now. It wasn't a hard one, of course, he managed to hover for much of his travel, resting his feet, and he took time to rest and meditate along the way. His provisions were light, but he didn't need much anyway. Tillian had held onto the dice, feeling them in his palm, not really wanting to let them go. He looked over the town as he came to it, then looked to his hands uncurling his fingers and spoke to the dice with a kind smile much like he was speaking to a child or a small creature.
"So, what do you think? Should we buy something or just look?"
Tillian lowered himself to the ground, took out a small book from his bag, laid that down, then rubbed the blue dice between his palms, shook them, then carefully dropped them onto the cover. The short drop only made the dice bounce twice, and then come to rest on a pair of numbers equalling five. That same content smile came to his pale face as he spoke in that soothing voice, "Good idea. best save our money."
Tillian tucked his book away as well as the dice and folded his hands in his long, draping sleeves, then walked into the town. He tried not to let worry fall over him, not really knowing too much of the world outside of his village. He had heard many stories, but wasn't sure what he'd face or how he'd be received by others.

Six years had passed since he lost his way, for six years he experienced the hardships of life. He was always in poverty, getting the money he could by stealing or gambling using the very same pair of die he had found the day his foster folks died. Zaid Ludivay was living the wrong kind of life, meeting people who stabbed him in the back the first chance they got, dealing with the worst kind of people. He wasn’t one of these people, this wasn’t what he was meant to be, yet that’s where he found himself. Face first in a puddle of mud, in the back ally of a dirty little Inn called Honk’s, located in the worst part of town. He squinted as he looked up from the mud at three large men, thugs, jerk-offs that either worked or played in the gambling room in the basement of the Inn. See, Zaid was very good at gambling, he always played dice, he always used his own dice, and he always won. Of course he was checked for cheating several times, but there was nothing tricky about his die, he never cheated, he just knew… it was like the die called out their own roll in his head before they would even land. He didn’t even have to be the one rolling the dice to know what would land. It was only with those two little red dice, what he called his lucky charm. Zaid had made the mistake and won too much money while playing dice this morning, and now, he was penniless and getting picked on by three older men who got their kicks out of picking on weaker people. But… Zaid was not a weak person, and as he looked up at the men with his lip bleeding, his face covered in mud, with a smirk on his face, they thought he was just trying to act tough. The young male pushed himself up from the ground and got on his feet, raising his left arm to wipe the mud off his face with the sleeve of his jacket. He turned his head and spit, then looked at the men with his green eyes glaring sharp. “You know, a few days ago I met this quack of a guy who was on his death bed.” He began, catching the men off guard with a random story as he pulled brass knuckles out of his pocket and put them on his fists. “He was a nice old guy, for someone who was dying- and he took me by the collar of my shirt and brought me down to his face. His breath reeked.” Zaid rolled the dice between his fingers the way a magician might do with a coin. “And he said to me: Ludivay, promise me you’ll stop this nonsense of a life you’re living, its not the path your meant for, your life is destined for something much greater.” By now he was looking at the mud puddle thoughtfully, before raising his gaze to the men again. “to which I replied: You’re crazy old man. Then he died, and after awhile I started to get a little of what he meant… see, I asked this die,” he held the dice up between his fingers, “if what the old guy said was true… you know what the roll was?” The men were confused but seemed interested and were very well distracted by the short story. Zaid looked at their faces and smiled, odds- I leave you guys with broken bones. Evens- I leave you guys with bruises.” The human boy dropped the die, and before the pair even landed on the ground he was swinging at the men, his brass knuckles meeting with faces, ribs, guts, chins, the men didn’t even know what hit them before they were on the ground, the roles reversed, their faces in the mud with a single young male standing over them. On the ground behind him the two dice read even. Still smirking Zaid pulled the brass knuckles off and put them back into his pocket before bending down to pick up his two lucky charms. “When I rolled that day, I got snake eyes, and nice even two. The old man was right, I am destined for greater things.” He snickered before walking out of the ally out into the street.

____________________________ Seren looked about herself, her grey eyes scanning the occupants, although mainly at their ears. All human, which was probably why this looked at her own so oddly, although she could also detect a little lecherous intent in their glances. She gave a small involuntary shudder. Had the die lied to her? Hopefully the upstairs would redeem this place, otherwise it would confirm that most other inns in this place were total cesspits.
She made her way over to the bar, setting herself down upon a stool, waiting for the attention of the portly inn owner, although her eyes caught the mixture of dribble and sweat upon the neck of his shirt more than his face. She gave a small grimace, although quickly masked it when his attention was fully placed upon her.
"What can I get you, m'love?" the man asked, cleaning a tankard as he spoke to her with an even dirtier cloth. Even if she had contemplated getting a drink, she would not do so now.
"I would like a room for the night", the elf replied, "your best, if possible." Was this really wise? Why was she here? This place was disgusting! But then the dice never lied. But they were just dice, right.
One gold crown", the man replied, as Seren scoffed at the fee. "That is, if you can afford it, darlin'. Standard rooms are only 2 silver pieces."
Of course the merchant could afford it. The question was, whether she was willing to. She had asked the die if this was a good place to stay, it said yes. She decided to make sure. Even, this truly was the place. Odds, she was out of here.
"Excuse me for a moment" the woman asked, before moving off to a secluded corner to roll the die. They bounced a few times, before stopping on a five and a one. It looked like this truly was where the die wanted her to stay. Oh well. It better be good.
"That should be fine", Seren said, re approaching the bar, and placing a gold crown down upon its oak surface. "I shall take the best room."
The man nodded greedily, pocketing the coin into his apron, before fishing out a key from under the bar. "It's the room at the end o' the corridor upstairs love. Give the door a good kick."
The elf nodded, taking the key, and beginning to make her way upstairs. Well, at least the air up here wasn't so stale, although still unpleasant. Not like the forests of home. “Take chances, make mistakes.

The young phantom glided along, slipping into the town, his ethereal glow light an gentle. He kept an eye on his surroundings, yet kept his hands in his sleeves. For now he wanted to look over the vendors, and see their wares. He browsed for a while, not buying anything despite there being quite a few lovely items he might have purchased had he not asked his dice. Even when he turned over an item in his hand he couldn't form any words to ask how much it would cost and simply set it down, smiled to the shop keeper and moved along his way.
It became eerie to Tillian as he tried to ask about the different items but wasn't able to form the words. He wondered about the dice and, for a moment, he took about his book once more and held the two cubes in his fist and placed it against his chest.
"Should I find an inn for the night? Evens I shall, odds I'll wander about the town some more," Tillian spoke softly, barely moving his lips. Carefully, with one hand, he rolled the pair of dice, then dropped them onto the book, the soft thud under his hand from the soft leather binding let him know the dice were ready to tell him their opinion. He removed his hand and let his eyes look over the little dots. A six and a four made ten. It was like his dice were insisting he go to an inn straight away. It wasn't just two odds making an even, but it was two evens making a larger even. He lifted his eyes and looked across the way to an inn.
Gliding over he tucked everything away and made his way into the small building. He moved up to the counter, watching a young elven woman walking away with her key and he asked for a room himself. He just wanted a bed for the night and a roof over his head, nothing too fancy. He paid and was given his key and went up the stair to his own room.

Kailan Ambella___________________________________________________ Kailan played with the dice in her hand as she gently bit her bottom lip. It wasn't unlike her to drop a job and go on the move, but she preferred it when it was her choice, not just a game of chance. But somehow she had wandered herself into this fate, and now she must face it. The world moved around her without much care from her. She could see a boy around her age leave out of one of the backstrees but Kailan didn't pay much attention on it. When her mind finally started to quiet, the bounty hunter found herself near the town's exit.
She wished not to leave, but her heart felt heavy with the thought of staying in town and as she pondered farther on the idea, something caught her eye. Kailan took a step backwards towards the sight that had interested her. In a small alleyway, a small group of men lay on the ground, most sprawled on their belly. She blinked. "Wha?" Her eyebrows bent downwards and she examined the bodies further.
Kailan pursed her lips as her eyes searched the around. In truth, she was curious to who, or what, had done this. She knew it maybe just from her instinct she developed from being in the hunting business that she felt the need to have a powerful partner for just-in-case moments. The only problem was that she would have to consult the die if she wished to look into it further. The young girl took a deep breath and spilt the die from her hand. "Even, I check it out. Odd, well, I leave it."
Both white cubes hit the stone road at the same time before rolling over. A gleeful grin swept over her face. "Oh yeah. Big ol' bully, here I come." The bounty hunter voiced. To her joy, the die had given her an even. Bending down to pick up her fate, Kailan began to reason with how she would approach this. The young woman rose back onto her feet as she tried to remember back. She could recall seeing a boy leave from a back ally a while ago, and to her knowledge, that would be the best bet. Although she didn't know much, she knew the die had said yes, and that was all she needed to continue now.
Her feet lightly tapped against the road as she continued on her way. Casually, Kailan would bump into any person she found looked like who she was searching for, only to meet with bitter disapointment and simple insults. Everytime the hunter would smile and offer a sorry before continuing on. The day was dragging now, and Kailan was getting sick of looking.
Finally, a glimmer of hope came as another young man came into view. Kailan ran towards him, without much thought, and shoved her shoulder into his side. When she was about to get a good look at his face and see his response, the girl's foot caught on an upward stone and she recalled herself falling.
