The time has come comrades to put fourth the ballet for the new members of the Central Committee. The Central Committee (CC) is the governing body of the guild. This year we are running 5 seats. Anyone who has met the 5 political post requirement is allowed to run for candidacy. In this thread announce your platform. What changes/problems do you see with the guild? How will you work to fix those problems? You know, political stuff. You have until December 20th to announce you candidacy. After that the ballet is closed and the polls are open!I wish you all the best of luck!

Comrades! Victory or Death!
Alright.I want to start off by saying what a successful 6 months it has been for this guild. We've seen a steady activity, a dramatic rise In membership and a very enthusiastic new crowd it has been. You are all eager to learn and its a really fantastic thing to see especially now. The world once again descends into capitalist crisis and It's been a belief of mine that a new generation of socialists needs to come to the helm and actually bring the communist movement to where it needs to be, and it all begins here.
Instead of resorting to mudslinging in an very un-comradely manner, Like some of the other candidates have I actually wish to touch more upon some of the things I'd like to see happen in this guild. As I mentioned before the level of education is good, but I really think we can do better. Despite the lack of less-left elements in the guild stagnation hasn't happened. Activity has increased and I want to get the new members up to date with all the stuff they should be learning. I have a very strong past with promoting the education of new members, however, despite my previous attempts, have been met with nothing but failure. Why? a lack of dedication. Naturally, one man cannot tackle the process alone. Further, lack of coordination among leadership further hinders these projects. So it is today that I shall announce we need a leadership that is all on the same page. Ill touch on this point later.
What I also like to see happen is a stronger commitment to getting communist views out into the ED-P forum. The fruits of your education only solidify if you test them against our enemies. I want to make you all skilled debaters. Again, to achieve this we need an active capable and consistent leadership. Two gentlemen who I know will aid me in this goal are SoViEtTaNkT34 (founder of the guild) and Michelito Briggs (long time member)
A few other things we will work to accomplish. A revamp of the forums and subforums for a cleaner look. An active recruitment program, and a new constitution.
So who among you will fight with us? To uphold the tradition of Marxism? Who among you will work to fight for socialism and the working class? Who is ready to die in glorious battle against liquidators of the cause? A VOTE FOR ROB IS A VOTE FOR THE VICTORY OF SOCIALISM AND THE WORLD PROLETARIAT!

Despite my increasingly irregular health issues I will stand once more for election.
My platform is simply this: To maintain the constitution of the guild, to keep a steady view of leadership, and to provide a consistent direction in education.
The main candidates in this election, I expect, will be myself and Comrade Rob.
Comrade Rob, simply put, is too wishy-washy to be the leader of a political organisation, even one on an anime forum dedicated to education and political clarification. During the previous election he took a stand with me against the fascists. he is to be commended for this, as few of the prominent members did. Moreover, he wanted me to base my platform upon the purging of the right wing of the guild, and constantly asked me how it would happen. But when it came to the crunch, and the right looked like it would leave the guild upon my election, he prostrated himself before them and compromised the left-wing election bloc by suggesting, essentially that the left bow out of the election. He correctly chose to delete that post, but the fact that he made it is striking.
After the election, he constantly tried to cripple the leadership of the guild by opposing the very programme he had run under, and supporting the proposals of the right, most notably on the question of the constitution and membership. Moreover, he has kept one foot in the camp of the right, holding the position of Moderator in the guild formed by the right-wing split. With his constantly wavering politics* and his constant wavering on practical policy, his unserious attitude toward others posts (his vandalism of Comrade Hero's posts, for example) he is obviously unsuitable for the position of Chairman of the guild.
Above I said that I want to maintain the constitution of the guild, maintain a steady view of leadership, and provide a consistent direction in education. Rob has opposed the constitution from the day he was elected, wavers from day to day on questions of leadership, and wavers from day to day on basic questions of politics. He does not meet these criteria, and I am unable to support him in this election.
As to the other notable members of the guild, and likely candidates: Comrade Kotka: She has a good head for Marxism, and is often able to hold the correct position prior to finding out why it is the correct position. Essentially, she has good political instincts, and while she needs to learn more, I have faith in her willingness and ability to hold the correct positions on the constitution and leadership.
Comrade Tank: [will add info later]
Comrade Hero: [will add info later]
Comrade Briggs: [will add info later]
*:In addition to this, Rob acknowledges his own fallibility in his in ability to maintain consistent politics and in doing so often changes positions to, as he says, go from "advocating Trotsky" one day to "bashing him with a club that has a picture of Stalin's p***s on it" the next This is an expression not of acceptance of fallibility, but of indecision and political volatility. If one accepts their fallibility, they accept that they can be wrong, and ask to be proven wrong. It does not mean that one assumes every position held is incorrect, necessitating a change the moment one is settled upon. The accusation implied in the above statement is that I do not accept my own fallibility, an accusation made explicit during a Skype discussion. Accusations such as that are frequently made by my political opponents, usually in the form of "[w]ho made you the god of communism?" or "[w]ho said you are the only one to know 'true' Marxism?" This accusation of assumption of infallibility and 'pope-hood' (if you want to call it that) is made when my opponents are unable to support their positions in a Marxist manner. Rather than assume infallibility, I know I am fallible, and have said so before. What I have rarely seen from my political opponents, however, is proof that I am wrong. Rather than actually provide such proof, they make silly little accusations against me.

I, Herobane, am as of now a candidate in the election.
*I will be fleshing out my platform as I find time.*
I stand for increased vigilance against those who wish the guild and its members harm. As the fascist raid proved, we are not invulnerable to infiltration and exploitation. While I do not propose a wild witchhunt, I do stand for, as previously stated, an increased level of awareness to potential harm.
I also stand for continued education in the ways of the dark side marxism, as education is the only way that one can learn what is necessary for the continuance of all that we represent.
More to come!

It is my regret to inform you that due domestic situations my candidacy has been withdrawn.
However, I would very much like to know If I would be considered a Left, Right, or Centre candidate.
