They say we will never remember that day we got circumcised. I do believe we retain the painful memories, but they are so traumatic, that they are buried deep. deep, inside, never to resurface, manifestations of this resurfacing memories, might help to explain mass murderers, psychotic murders, psychotic behaviours and such. Though we might not ever fully remember, and we may not recognize these resurfacing memories, I believe residual memories will sometimes manifest in certain ways. The only way to add credulance to this is to find out the percentage of these individuals that are circumcised. I remember going to the women's hospital when my brother was born, (my step mom, not my Bio mom) I saw this plastic infant restraint used to strap the baby down for circumcisions, it did not give me a good feeling, it looked more like a torture device then a hospital device. Perhaps these feelings and thoughts were the result of some triggered residual memory of my own circumcision, and perhaps this explains why people like us are so anti circumcision, we are some how remembering that day in our own ways, and remembering with out recognizing that memory, a manifestation of those memories.
Your thoughts?

You certainly have an idea there that's definitely worth pondering. It's something I've thought of myself, that perhaps a lot of circumcised men have emotional trouble today that no one would pin being likely linked to their circumcision.
I would definitely look into men who have trouble with trust, dissociation, emotional sensitivity to pain, things like that.
I believe some people remember their birth, so certainly some would be able to remember their circumcision. It's not all too common, but most certainly possible.
I'm female but so heavily against male infant circumcision because I'm a strong advocate for child's rights. I was abused in other ways as a child so now, any form of abuse of children gets to me deeply. To me, when parents discuss between themselves their son's p***s and whether or not they should remove some of it, you may as well be talking about what his nose should look like for his immediate nose job, or face lift, liposuction or tummy tuck.
I mean really, pick your poison.

This is a tricky area, when it comes to children's rights, There is also the 'Age of Consent' a child below that age isn't supposed to be able to properly consent as he/she does not understand consequences and such, as well as the gravity of certain situations, as they say, Mommy and daddy knows best, this is good when it's about where child can and can't play, what he can and can't eat, But when it comes to circumcision? Should mommy and daddy have the legal right to decide the Astetics (spelling??) of their child? this has come up when scientists announced a possible gene therapy break through, the ability to eliminate genetic diseases and deformations, and, The ability to genetically customize your child, Circumcision is a form of Estetic surgical customization, as far as religion is concerned, I disagree with these practises, how ever, they do have some religious rights here including, Circumcisions, As long as they use anaesthesia.

There have been studies that at least state that the circumcised boy remembers it for at least 6 months, unfortunately I cannot find the study I read before. There also seems to be a conflict to where if they remember it and have intense pain or if they are desensitized to the pain. It has to do with vaccinations at 6 months...
